Thanks for the video. Just picked up one of these 2nd hand for my home studio. Really wide range of warm tube tones and as you said it’s very neighbour friendly. I hadn’t heard of the amp before coming across it and I tried it in the store next to a Fender Supersonic. The fender is a much bigger amp with more headroom for live stuff but honestly I preferred the overdriven tones of the Blackstar.
I have one of these amps, I sent the first one back thinking it had an issue because the volume jump when you hit the joy button (footswitch/built in drive pedal) the volume jump is so much that it makes it unusable, even if you use it for a lead boost you'll get looks since it's way louder than the amp w/out it engaged and w/no way to adjust it down, and yes the replacement did the same thing. Just wanted to point this out. I do still use the amp, just place the gain about 1:00 using the amp only, no joy button... which is a bummer cus it sounds great. Take pedals great, front end and efx loop. Happy Pickin'
