I have be using black strap molasses for almost a year and my hair is beautiful. Also I've noticed weight loss, more energy, less arthritis pain and stress free. I love it!
@@PetuacapturesitMix 1 tablespoon of BSM with 1 tablespoon of ACV, in a glass of warm water. Have this drink 2 times/day, morning and evening. If you don’t like the ACV, then you can just stick with 1 tbs of BSM straight from spoon or diluted in warm water
@@ralucad635 Just my two cents: Take it with vitamin c, e.g. lemon juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, etc. The vitamin C will help to absorb the iron in the BSM.
i have anemia and i''am taking black strapo molasses for almost a month now, and it really changed my life, i feel great!! so just try it out it works!!! thanks dr berg for the great video on this!
yeah have had it my life looking back to those days felt cheated. literally could Feel we the life energy leave me. . doctors always waved the iron pill at me. .well yeah it can work if you want weeks for your iron to build up plus the constipation. . .black strap molasses is the only way to go. . also corrected the pitting edema if the legs. . of course my blood lab was at 5!...as a nurse I know we give tranfusion for anything less than a seven on the geriatrics floor. That is the definite way to go . . doc think I'll go back and take chiropractic courses. Can't say I've had any problems for ten years now. . one good blood cleanser is carrot juice. .fast. .
i stil take it every day ( 1 or 2 Tspoons in my tea) i just had my 3th period and it was not a heavy one( 3 days). almost normal so it takes time healing from anemia. You need to find out why you have it! i had heavy periods, and that's almost over, so my iron levels go up because i'm stopping the problem with Molasses.Take it before bed with rosehiptea it taste better with a sout tea because the molasses is so sweat. i hope it works for you!!
I've been taking black strap molasses in capsule form. I don't have to take iron pills or a huge multivitamin. My mood is so much better and my heart stopped racing.
PoppyChild75 wow they have in capsule..I would love to get my hands on it in capsule because the liquid taste so bad I can't take the taste..but I'm anemic so I really need it for the iron.
I'm a registered nurse and also study things related to being prepared. I spend a lot of time deciding where and what types of food to buy and I'm always cognizant of nutritional value. I ran across blackstrap molasses by accident and was amazed that it contained 70% of the iron needed for the body. It also has a long shelf life. If something were to happen to our intricate and fragile supply chain this would be very important to have on hand. I thought it could help for any type of slight to moderate blood loss from injuries as well. I believe the value of blackstrap molasses is underestimated. Good info to put out there!
@ResourcefulGirl My grandmother would give me unsulphured molasses in milk at least once a week and serve it as if it were Hot Cocoa. Delicious! I am allergic to iron supplements, so I have to get my iron from my diet. You are correct about the fragility of the supply chain. Stock up on food, medicines, health and hygiene products, etc., if you were preparing for TEOTWAWKI ... seriously.
@@blkqueen6201 its sugar yes may increase spike quickly early am, I would eat it after fiber full meal and also lessen other unrefined sugars and if need reduce some fruits try and stick to fruits or veggie with Highest nutrition and fiber such as pears, Brocali, sweet potato good fiber, guava high vitamins such as vitamin c, sour sop!! Kale very nutrient dense✨ I do molasses twice a day one table spoon. Am and late afternoon 💐
If Dr Berg recommends it, you have nothing to fear. Listening to him has healed me and restored respect within family and society. I could never express my appreciation and gratitude to this man..
Gwenhwyfar Rising, You will never be disappointed. This man offers advice that you wouldn’t get even from your own doctor. Honestly Dr berg has revolutionised health and well-being by giving people advice they need to make own choices about treatments and remedies for their conditions.
I googled "how to reverse hardening of the arteries" and up came dr. Berg. I followed his and Darren schmidt's advice and we reversed my mother's dementia!!! He is a godsend!
We are used to mixing one portion of tahini with two portions of molasses and use it as a dip dessert. The tahini tones down the sweetness of molasses and gives it texture.
@@May-May1888 Thank you so much…putting it in cereal, spreading on bread/toast are great ideas. I purchased my first bottle, and wow, it’s a strong taste. But I need the iron badly. Thanks so much for the ideas.
@@Maggie-zr2ow your welcome, I need iron badly too, this morning I had 1 tablespoon in a cup of hot water and it wasn't bad. I boiled the kettle, added it to the molasses in a cup and let it sit for a while to cool and sipped it, wasn't nice but wasn't bad either. I will do it tomorrow again
Will try, i tried it in tea and yeah it's not great it has a very strong flavour of caramelized sugar wich is really overwhelming but well cofee is bitter and perhaps if i don't add the milk, the bitterness with the strong caramel flavour and sweetness might be a decent combo.
That is delicious. I saw a video about the great depression. I believe they called this the roosevelt. All the coffee was sent to soldiers fighting the war. So people in the states had limited amount of coffee. They had to sometimes rebrew the coffee a second time. Adding molasses to stretch it out.
Molasis is a popularly produced in the south of Egypt from sugar cane and unfortunately it is not appreciated enough. I take one spoon every day and it is wonerful. I highly recommend it.
Same here! Works very quickly with cramp pain. Better than pain killers. It just doesn’t remove that dull pressure from the menstrual cramps but no pain. Highly recommend!
@@RACHELEVETTE1 So glad you are having great results!! This just gave me so much hope! How much do you take and how often??? And do you take it daily or only around your cycle? I hear women who restore their iron levels tend to get rid of intense period pains and bleed less. I always imagined more iron means more blood, but I guess not! If you're low on iron, you think the body would bleed less. But I have BAD periods too, possible endometreosis and so close to giving up because it has impacted my life. Smh, I really hope this helps.
@@Honey-Bee-25 I take it with hot tea a week before my period and durning. you might also have fibroids on top of your endo. im goingto start doing acupunture for my fibroids because someone i know cured hers that way. i also deal with endo but what you eat also makes it worse. stop or cut out dairy and cut back on meat and you will notice a difference. also, the pads you use makes a difference. i use a organic brand called honey pot. The pads are infused with natural herbs. get the super pads for your heavy bleeding. i also do yoni steams with natural herbs before and after my periods. you do the steams and will see a major difference in your cycle all the way down to the color of the blood. the steams make your uterus extract all the old blood which is why we cramp so much because old blood is built up. im not as consistent as i should be but ive seen a major difference. do some resesrch and she what works for you. also get BPA free water bottles because bottles with BPA have estrogen in them which causes fibroids to grow. the fibroids love estrogen. Sorry for the long response. If you have other questions feel free💖
I just purchased a jar of unsulphured BSM to use for hair health, but running across this video has definitely been a blessing. I am also severely anemic due to fibroids, and I cannot tolerate oral iron supplements in any form, so I have to have IV iron infusions to elevate my levels. Even with the infusion treatments, it never quite reaches a “normal” level, so seeing that BSM is also beneficial for anemia, is very encouraging. I’ll be starting tomorrow!
Hello 👋🏾 how does it help with hair health? I’m anemic too, I have to take IV iron also for the same reason, but I am having an allergic reaction to it. So I’ll try this for iron. Let me know how it goes for you.
A few years ago, my iron was extremely low due to menstrual issues. My Dr. recommended iron infusions & told me it would take about 3 months to see results. My grandmother told me to take black strap molasses & almost immediately, my menstrual improved. 1 month after the iron infusion, I went back to the Dr & my iron levels skyrocketed. He was in shock & attributed it to the infusion-I didn't tell him about the molasses.
Man I had to comment on this one. Love your videos but this one hit home. I cannot take any iron supplements ever and am very anemic because of two fibroid. Thing is I live in Barbados and we produce cane sugar and molasses does be plenty around that time. I never knew the benefit of molasses in helping with my anemic problem. I used to love molasses as a child but haven't had some in a while.I will definitely be getting some soon.
I've been battling Anemia for so long due to fibroids. I've done a lot of research in the bookstore and online to try and find ways to combat Anemia and help reduce or control my fibroids. A lot of holistic Doctors recommend Blackstrap Molasses for fibroids etc. I was so relieved to hear you mention the benefits it has for women with my condition. I look forward to trying it and gaining health benefits. I'm so tired of feeling tired, and I no longer want transfusions for Iron loss.. Thank You for all that you do Dr. Berg ( Wish you were in Orlando ) :(
I took molasses and acv not only did it get rid of my ovarian cyst that they wanted to do surgery for my periods got down to 3 days from 7 and it helped with my anemia i will take it daily forever
@@Sneha-vk7nbYes, you mix 1 tablespoon of ACV with 1 tablespoon of BSM in a glass with warm water. Have this drink 2 times/day, morning and evening. If you can you should drink this on empty stomach in the morning and before bedtime.
@maam 💯 I really is good for black women. My grandmother grandparents were slaves and women would lose so much blood and have female problems and she said that was the cure the slaves used since they was not seen by doctors Heal their wombs so I started using it, I had 3 Ver small fibroids I turned 50 I no longer have them my hair has grown back and skin is perfect. I exercise daily keep my body healthy and fit
Ever since I can remember, my heart would flutter. It felt like it was scipping a beat and then trying to catch up. Doctors would just say it's nothing to be concerned about that it's just me... Lately though my blood pressure was all over the place from high to low all in minutes. Also, my pulse would drop from 70 to 40 beats. Lately, most nights, I could feel my heat in my throat.. A freind commented on the benefits of black strap molasses that it has lots of iron, potassium and that it helps with blood pressure so I bought some. I literally felt better within days. I swear that I haven't felt this good for decades! My heart flutter is gone. My blood pressure back to normal and so is my pulse. I'm 65 and now have more energy, sleep better and my memory has improved and all that just from 1 tsp of black strap molasses twise a day! 😊
@@catey62 Hi .. I just wanted to mention that I had skipped and funny heart beats for yrs until .. i stopped all caffeine and my heart today at 74 is better than when I was 32 and had palps for years. No caffeinated tea, coffee. or pop. etc. hope this will help .
That little part at 1:24 where Dr. Berg notices the P in blackstrap, picks up marker cans corrects it says a lot about his attention to detail. Very relatable. 😁 Thanks for sharing all your hard work and research.
Please encourage people to have their iron saturation levels checked before doing this. I used to take blackstrap molasses only to later find that I have hemochromatosis which for anyone who doesn't know what it is......... it's a disorder whereas the body stores iron and the only way to get the levels down is through phlebotomies. There are so many issues that too much iron in the body can cause..... For anyone who doesn't have this disorder then yes, this is a great product.... just my 2 cents.
Hi Rebecca, wasn't me who asked about Phlebotomist, I'm the one who wrote about it as I have to go to one many times a year due to an iron problem. Think it was someone else.
Blackstrap Molasses did not affect my weight (did not gain) when I put a teaspoon of it into my morning coffee for a month. Raw Honey on the other hand started to increase the fat around my midsection. Blackstrap Molasses seems to be metabolized differently, like glucose versus fructose. Anyways, I am glad I can have a hint of bittersweet in my morning coffee once in awhile without wrecking my liver.
I love this stuff. It brings me memories of my life as a child in the veracruz jungles, my father used to work in a cane sugar factory, he would bring us a huge jar of molasses before any chemicals were put in them or any of the product was bleached.
It’s the purest form of sugar cane juice. I am surprised to hear from Dr Berg that he thinks it’s a waste product of sugar cane. Surely shows that he has not taken time to research the product before stating facts about it. Sorry that you are misguiding people with your half knowledge. FYI it’s the purest form os sugarcane before adding any kind of chemicals to it.
I am experimenting with adding Black Strap Molasses to my evolving keto-like diet, early in AM in my matcha, I have to say I have felt nothing but benefit and no draw back. it gives me a feeling of relief from anxiety almost immediately upon drinking and it helps me to NOT BE HUNGRY later in day so it makes my IF schedule much easier to implement. I have developing theory that just like there are good fats - there are good sugars and black strap molasses is one of them. I do not find black strap molasses triggers my insulin at all and I am very sensitive, usually feel spikes and crashes super easily.
I started using it about a week ago, and was worried about weight loss journey, however, since I started taking with hot water in morning, I dont feel hungry till evening.....and yes in the evening I eat when I get hungry but, surprisingly my weight seems to be going down, compared to when I was doing diet alone without black strap molasses for a month......I don't understand....may be later it will spike my weight?
6 Tbsp provides all the potassium the body needs, if you don't have the time and money for 8 to 10 cups of vegetables. I spread it out over the day adding turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and cayenne. It's 21 grams of sugar per Tbsp a pop has 39, use with own discernment. If you use bread, pasta, alcohol or drink pop your likely over that, it just over 3 sodas worth of sugar. Have you watched his potassium videos, we need serious amounts of it.
Use it when you make vinegar. The yeast will eat the sugar and make alcohol in the first step of the process, and in the second stage the the mother will convert the alcohol to acidic acid. This way you get all the good minerals from molasses without any sugar.
@@MissJK_ No, use it when you make your own vinegar. Vinegar is fruit + sugar + yeast. The sugar is converted into alcohol and then the alcohol is converted into acid. The carbs are gone but the minerals are left from the molasses.
Thanks Dr. Berg...this cleared up for me, alot of debate on brown sugars not being healthier than white sugar...if brown has molasses ...that's a no brainer to me because of all the nutrients and minerals in molasses!!
listen carefully, he said brown sugar has only a small amount of molasses, so it's still hugely just sugar (fructose + glucose). so ditch that *itch and just focus on actual molasses instead
Good info shared. My wife is 7 months pregnant ,has deficiency in iron and protein. Can she use plantation organic black strap molasses, also what are the ways you can have this ? Thanks
I would think that would be the best source! Be aware that it can have LAXATIVE effect so start small and stay near a bathroom until you know how you react 😉
I'd recommend trying molasses with tahini sauce 2 Tbsp of molasses /w 1 Tbsp of Tahini. It's an Egyptian recipe, boost your energy, and above all it's mouthwatering.
Thank you for braking this down for me. My holistic dr recommended blackstrap molasses to me but I thought it was very weird especially the way it looks. Your video made me more confident to buy it
1 litre of mineral water 2 teaspoons of blackstrap molasses 2 teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon of raw unpasteurised honey 1 teaspoon of high quality black seed oil. Drink throughout the day, every day.
What results did you see and how long you took it. Also what was your condition for taking this. Yes what was your reason. I have ACID FLUX and SIBO or IBS conditions
@@eddieabbott370 hi there, I suffer from acid reflux too but I attribute that to age and diet (white flour food stuff always gives me acid). Anyway, the benefits I get from this drink is less acid, more flexibility as in I don't ache in the joints, I feel a more energetic, my skin looks and feels a lot nicer, however, I also eat over-night oats for breakfast, this is mixed with pumpkin, sunflower, chia, flax, amaranth seeds, either whole or ground, each day I add a different dried fruit like prunes or apricots or mango etc and a few walnuts, or almonds, or brazils or pecans, this also contributes to better health. The drink and the breakfast has greatly improved my health, I am by no means a 'health freak' the rest of my diet is as normal as anyone else's, it could do with improving but I like the junk food a lot as well. I also managed to cut sugar and bread for a long time but now I only buy hand made sourdough bread from a specialist bakery, this bread never gives me acid, 1 loaf lasts me a week. You can leave out any of the above ingredients, the black seed oil is expensive so more of a treat when affordable, just drinking cider with water is enough to get things happening, but it takes time, keep doing it everyday, you may never notice any change until you stop and start feeling worse again, only then you realise it was doing you good after all. Each person is different, just try it, stick it for 3 months and see if it works for you. :)
@@mclovin8739 Thanks ever so much. I hope you and your family a Merry Christmas 🤶 and a Happy New Year. I'm going to sure try this. Seems I've also got IBS or SIBO. Oh my God I didn't know that potassium helps sugar gets stored in the liver which helps people from getting sugar drops I so need this info! Plus calms fight or flight!
My daughter was very anemic as a child. I was told by the nurse to give her warm milk with black strap molasses and her blood count went up. Now I just put it in my tea.
@@Sh0n0 I had to get iron shots in my bum every 2 weeks and take iron pills when I was pregnant with my daughter in 1973. I don't think they do that any more.
I put it in my coffee and green tea and everyone keep calling me the fountain of youth Just turned 50 jogging at 11 pace for 3 miles everyday! God is good! My hair is growing for the first time in my life like a healthy weed
Sorry just seeing this! Like in anything in moderation I might do a Tbsp once a day for like a month then don’t use it again until 6 months later. I have NO health issues but if someone dealing with low iron low calcium or low potassium this should be a part of their diet at least every other month
I loved Dr. Berg’s enthusiasm about the topic when he started this video. Using blackstrap molasses along with more products to hopefully significantly improve or reverse terrible quality of life symptoms due to submucosal fibroid and adenomyosis and many many years of iron deficiency anemia. Cutting out coffee and wine - two of my favourite things. Also using fermented cod liver oil, Vitex, wheatgrass, turmeric, matcha green tea, milk thistle and vitamin C.
I have had cancer and due to cancer treatments have been left with problems, swallowing food is one. I have blackstrap molasses daily to help provide needed minerals. I would be in terrible health without them. If wanting to use for anemia read the label. Some brands have lower rdv. I use Golden Barrel which has a RDV of 11%.
this brand u recomanded has got a big note that warma about possible exposure to chemicals that cause cancer . Wonder how such product is helping you ?
I have been taking it to reverse gray hair I have been taking it for about 1 month and the gray hair is mostly gone. Should I stop taking it after the gray hair is gone. Will it come back
After reading a lot of comments I can say you should take it always to get all your minerals, but you should let your body rest from molasses during 2 weeks every month
Add one egg to your pancake batter make flapjack take one scoop tablespoon of molasses add butter little bit of cinnamon microwave for 15 seconds dump over top of flapjack absolutely delicious
I love my coffee expresso and I take it with raw brown sugar. That’s the only sugar that I intentionally use up to 3 times a day B/L/3pm before D. Finding a nice tasty brown sugar for your express is not easy. So I decided to make my own. Q, do you recommend using GM Molasses on an expresso café? What do you think?
BSM is an awesome food when mixed with baking soda to eliminate cancer in tumors, polyps, and cysts. It is a recent discovery from the past 10 years. Many YT videos have been made about it. I use it as a sugar/potassium source in my diabetes treatment. Thank you for a great video.
I've used BSM as my sweetener in my whole lemon concoction. Half a whole lemon, 1 stalk fresh Rubarb, 1/3 cup filtered water, 1/3 cup pure tart cherry juice, oversized tablespoon of BSM, blend thoroughly. It may not be for everyone, but I enjoy it.
Has anyone had success with reversing grey hair using blackstrap molasses. Also, is 1 tablespoon a day safe, as I do not want to risk high blood sugar problems.
Dr. Berg, can we get more videos on this topic? Blackstrap molasses that is. I’ve heard it can actually keep blood sugar low. I’m not about to indulge in any while I’m trying to lose weight as I’m prediabetic. But I’d like to begin to use it in sourdough bread when I begin to bake it in about a year. Thanks so much for your videos.
Thanks dr. Berg. your videos with the best on RU-vid clear and right to the point. I actually watch them on double or triple speed so I can take in more information faster.
Love Dr Berg. Great stuff. I ate this stuff nearly every day, on my oatmeal, while dropping 230lbs down to 170lbs. Great for healthy cacao brownies. Like anything.. use it in moderation like he explains and you're golden. Love the taste too.
