Ryan fell on love with the character and fought for a Deadpool movie for years. Test footage leaked in 2014 and fan reaction was so overwhelming that Fox gave the green light. 2016 we got Deadpool.

However it's heavy and weighs down the arm. So traditionaly, it's worn on your NON-DOMINANT ARM, so as to provide protection. But without weighing down your blade hand. This would also be worn by archers a lot for the same reason.

So according to reports (grain of sand, allegedly, other legal disclaimers here), Wesley Snipes was ENTIRELY checked out on this film. He spent all his time in his trailer getting stoned, refused to do any rehearsals, only did one take of everything, and basically just did not care at all. Ryan Reynolds had to pick up the slack and improvised a lot in order to add some charisma and charm into the movie since it was devoid of any thanks to Snipes sleepwalking through the role.

The drama behind this film is insane. Wesley Snipes stayed in character the whole time and would only answer to the name Blade. To refusing to open his eyes during the morgue scene. Even the actors behind the scenes had no idea what Wesley Snipes was like as there interactions were with Blade not Wesley. So Ryan Reynolds came away from the film thanking that Wesley Snipes hated him.

These were box office hits and are classics. What is not to love! Wesley is an awesome bada$$!

The voice of Blade in The Eternals was Mahershala Ali, not Wesley Snipes. The original Blade trilogy as made New Line Cinema, not Marvel or Disney. Marvel is making a MCU Blade movie with Mahershala Ali, but its been delayed for years and it is possible it might never happen.

Drake has only armor in one arm because while fencing/sword fighting the left arm is usually much more exposed than the "sword arm" (which in this case is the right arm). Like this you have some protection, while not losing too much mobility. So basically you use your left arm to defend while attacking with the sword.

It's funny to think that Dracula is so incorporated in Marvel comics that he can show up in a Blade movie and we're like "oh, yeah okay that works." Dude almost married Storm from the X-Men at one point.

Blade Trinity was David S. Goyer's 2nd film as director. He was the main screenwriter of the entire trilogy. Blade debuting in The Tomb of Dracula comics (1973) was to be one of many foes for The Prince of Darkness himself. It was only right that the villain of this film would Dracula as Blade's ultimate challenge. The original vision was post-apocalyptic with Dracula's return to power. Instead it was kept modern and added characters (Nightstalkers) from those comics. Dracula/Drake was depleased with how vampires were more loved than feared, like they weren't a threat anymore and i liked that. The extended cut is a bit better than the theatrical version plus 2 alternate endings that were interesting. Ryan Reynolds as Hannibal King was much different than the comics and behind the scenes, the Deadpool character was actually mentioned to RR and the rest was history. Jessica Biel aka Wifey of J.T. as Abigail Whistler was based on Rachel Van Helsing from the comics as an similar legacy connection. Still has the tone of the other films. Less wire work, more hardcore fighting and everyone is in amazing shape for this one. The storyline is cool, score/soundtrack are both good. But it's seen as the worse for a reason. It all began behind the scenes. Controversy with how the film was written and directed. Also leading to on-set altercations, contractual and legal battles with the studios, Wesley's disapproval with the process of it being made. The movie didn't flop, but even some audiences weren't pleased neither. Blade had the first-ever Marvel original series for mature audiences, pre-Netflix. Ran 1 season (13 episodes) om Spike tv, set in the same universe as the trilogy following the events of Trinity. Even if Trinity was considered the worse, Goyer as an filmmaker bounced back with creating the screenstory for The Dark Knight Trilogy and co-writing Batman Begins with Christopher Nolan.

I know the critics hated this one and it wasn’t too popular with fans but I still love this movie. I don’t know why but it just holds a special place in my heart. I love it

There are two alternate endings to Blade: Trinity. One is an alternate version of the autopsy scene from the end but it actually is Blade that wakes up on the table...the other takes place six months later with the Nightstalkers hunting a Warewolf in Shanghai. Both are available on RU-vid.

If anyone tells you Ryan was paid 3X more than Wesley and that's why they hate each other is lying. Ryan was paid $2 million for this role, Wesley got $14 million, the reason Wesley was pissed after production wrapped was because a couple of his scenes were cut and a couple scenes with Ryan and Jessica were added after test showings, then the studio wanted to adjust Wesley's salary based on his lesser screen time, he had no personal beef with his co-stars.

Armor on one arm/shoulder only is like a second shield, it’s the side of your body that faces your opponent first so you’d like kinda shoulder check them or brace for impact by bending your knees like when you turn to do an uppercut with a katana or sword, your neck and shoulder will be semi safe. still hurts but safe.

So, there IS more, actually. There's a short TV show from Spike that's set in this movie's universe. It's live action like the movies, but Wesley Snipes was in BIG legal trouble at the time and wasn't available for the show so the lead role was recast with Kirk Jones.

You recognized Triple H as a wrestler. This was one of, if not his first movie. He was supposed to be a vampire bodyguard who was killed early in the movie by taking an arrow to the face. But, he impressed the director who combined the bodyguard character with two other characters and let him be a supporting villain in the movie.

The main MCU Blade will be Mahershala Ali. He was the voice in Eternal.

Patton Oswalt is also in Marvel's "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D."
