The climbing gave you weird sound bug, for me it teleported me to the start of the level in Mines of Kelbegen, while being in the deepest parts. Maybe due to uncapped FPS? No idea. It was first version of the remastered game from GOG, shortly after gave it to the owners of the original...
I can do this consistently, 100% success rate, if the first input is a normal attack, no directional inputs, like the spear or war hammer specials. HOWEVER, if the first input is a directional input, the success rate goes down to about 70%, the most common failure being that the first input gets cancelled into a roll/dodge, despite me pressing the second input just as quickly, even mashing it. Many such cases. Sad. Thoughts? No worries, I got too buttmad and uninstalled the game anyway. Thanks, regardless.
It's because of difference in "attack windows". "attack window" is a period of time during attack in which character is open for commands about next attack to perform. "Windows" of some attacks (like simple strike) opens immediately when attack starts while others have slight delay. Look at the "Volcano" combo in the video. I skip 1st and 2nd move immediately but I do certain delay before to press "jump" to skip the 3rd move. So the universal rule is to press keys not "as fast as possible" but "with right tempo and right rhythm". It may sound difficult but it's actually a matter of practice. Hope you'll install the game back some day.
While I know how I definitely can't shorten long complicated combos that require 2 spacebars. And sometimes I think it does the dodge attack instead just because my mouse wasn't still (spacebar + moving mouse results in dodging)
You can try to bind jump to right button. Some players prefer it instead of spacebar. But generally it is matter of practice. Being a musician I try to find and feel specific rhythm for each combo.
I am sorry for the spam but If you can provide with little help. When I try to shorten the combo with jump the character just dodge to the side. Is it timing or is something other that I am doing wrong? Thank you beferhand.
