Great simple straight forward video! I had seen plastic tubing used as knife protectors, and love the idea of adding a firm piece of plastic. I see lots of these in my future! Beginning carver who got a great deal on a whole bunch of knives from the passing of another carver.

Hi, I have been rewatching your videos for years. I find them very helpful. I don't know if you still monitor these videos. I have been using the plastic tubing for years. I was wondering if you have any suggestions about protecting carving gouges? I use the plastic tubing but it difficult for very large gouges. Any suggestions? Thank you Rod Forcier.
