I disagree. I want a shared universe like Marvel was before Endgame. A shared universe where you weren't going to be totally lost on the overarching story if you missed a film here or there. It was so flawlessly executed. Wtf happened?

@@JediMentat yeah I agree. I had no problem with phases 1-3 because they were all set in the same universe but you didn’t have to watch every single thing to understand 100% the puzzle. Now it’s beyond a puzzle but instead an endless labyrinth where you gotta watch endless tv shows films and also some stuff not originally connected before they introduced the multiverse gimick. Also getting rid of characters we loved for dollar store replacements who are perfect in every way without flaws because they’re black or gay or female and we’re bigots or racists if we criticize bad storytelling and bad quality. I’m more interested in The Batman shared universe than James Gunn’s DCU because it’ll be smaller in comparison to another DC universe that’s immediately focusing on a universe instead of focusing on building the groundwork. Unless if James Gunn’s Superman film is surprisingly good, it could be the equivalent to The Mummy 2017. WTF is all these other characters doing in a “solo” Superman film?! Let it just be about Superman Lois Lane and Lex Luthor and not these other non Superman DC characters and also shoe horning in Supergirl in the first movie instead of focusing on your hero. Also forcing everything lead to the next thing is tiresome. But yeah, I’m tired of shared universes. I made my point and explained why I’ve fallen out of love of the concept. I now just want stuff to standalone and tell stories without being forced to connect to a universe or a multiverse or overarching franchise.

I’m guessing you’re forgetting Christopher Nolan, Matt Reaves, Todd Philips, Tim Burton and for better or worse James Mangold.

More than a few people have offered quality CBM content in the past, all of those men were allowed the creative freedom to do as they please, we need more of that

Me neither. Sell Blade rights and also not force it to connect to the MCU. Because Disney can’t be trusted. And Blade doesn’t need to be a vehicle to set up other stuff. Needs to be just a solo Blade film.

Exactly we want cinematic comic book experiences that aren’t recycled crap and also don’t want everything connected like endless unnecessary homework. I miss when you didn’t have everything comic book related was a shared universe. 😢 Also we get nothing but comedy superhero films and also everything so watered down for PG-13 and some R rated movies and shows and also can’t experiment and instead get same formulas. It’s tiresome and I’ve had enough.

Exactly they shouldn’t just waited 10 years and rebooted with recasted Tony Stark Iron Man Steve Rogers Captain America along with the X Men and Fantastic 4 and leave the legacy non MCU IPS alone and also be a separate continuity from the MCU.
