This was also written in Darth Plagueis novel. ✅ Mature and grounded story similar to Andor but with the mysticism of the Dark Side. In-depth look at Sith philosophy as we follow a master/apprentice two vs an entire galaxy story. ✅ Well-written Sith protagonists part of a two-person organization in a thousand-year conspiracy to upset the Galactic status-quo. ✅ New Star Wars timeline. There's nothing different really about this. The Sith operate in the shadows so the Jedi (the defenders of peace in the galaxy) won't stop them. The Sith want to do whatever they want without any rules, and everything they want to do involves hurting and killing others. When Qimir says he wants to use his power to do what he wants he means he wants to be free to cause harm as he pleases, or as Anakin might say, to make things the way he wants them to be, which would by necessity mean harming and oppressing others. When Darth Maul said that at last they could reveal themselves to the Jedi and have their revenge, what did he want revenge for? He saw the Jedi as keeping the Sith down, forced to hide in the shadows and slowly build their power until they could finally destroy the Jedi and be free to be as evil as they want. Of course people who want to harm and kill others feel "oppressed" by the laws and rules forbidding them from doing those things. The Sith want the right to be murdering psychos and the Jedi are in the way. (Although i don't know if qimir is really a Sith or not. He is a darksider though so even if not a Sith he still wants to be free to do evil.) It's also not new that the Jedi have to deal with corruption within themselves. Jedi can start drifting towards the dark side or losing their way. This was a theme in both the prequel trilogy and in the clone wars animated series. Does Master Sol have darkness in him? Yes. Everyone does. Darkness is not defeated once and then it's over - it has to be continually challenged. There is something suspect about the actions of the four Jedi who went after the witches. This doesn't however mean the Jedi are evil overall. Although Qimir would certainly use it to make that argument in order to tempt Mae and now Osha to the dark side ("only a sith thinks in absolutes"). As Qimir kills the Jedi he tells them it's their fault. Like others on the dark side he doesn't take responsibility for his actions and instead blames his victims. My point is political messaging in the show seems to fit well within the parameters of previous Star Wars and i don't think the show is radically altering the ideas in previous Star Wars.

The show is called "The Acolyte", pretty sure it's supposed to be from the perspective of a dark side force user. Otherwise the show would be called "The Jedi" or "The Padawan".

Streaming is a strange business. I’m a big Snyder fan but I was pretty shocked with Rebel Moon 1 and 2. I thought unfortunately it earned those bad reviews. But it’s a big success because of the amount of views? Is this getting tons of views as well? It just seems if this is the case they don’t even need a reason to make it any good.

If they wanted to make a story about a GOOD Sith Lord they had a perfectly valid candidate in the form of the character Darth Vectivus. On top of seeking the Sith out from sheer curiosity, he is one of the few rare beings in the ENTIRE STAR WARS MYTHOS who could actually RESIST the temptations of the Dark Side

I'm a fan of the original Star Wars, there is no way I'm going to watch this lore erasing garbage, if people are actually still subscribed to Blackrock's Disney + and watching this foolishness then you people get what you deserve. Whilst people want to waste their time trying to explain away Acolyte, all you are doing is helping them in their true agenda which is to divide people by way of social engineering. When they pretend to be upset with the likes of Star Wars Theory, it's all nonsense, they don't care about hardcore fans, what they do like though is when you push fans to a persuasion, some know their doing it and pretend. The Amandla Stenberg situation is a perfect example of this behaviour, and the agenda pushes say thank you very much.

Yeah Grifter Joe... I know how you feel with regards to part of you dying inside with every episode you watch... I haven't watched but checked out the reviews. I'm not really a fan of this show at all despite the cool lightsaber fights, I am just losing more interest. Haven't seen a Star Wars film in the theaters in 8 years as well too🪨
