I think Mahershala Ali would do a great job. He's a far better actor that Wesley Snipes.

Micahel Jai White would be cool, but he's a bit old now. He certainly is one of the best movie star martial artists on the planet. Him, Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins are the best.

@@aaronbarlow4376 Michael Jai White's movie fights are just horrendous. Yeah he moves well and is very agile, but the choreography usually sucks balls.

Anyone, the guy had practically quit the role by this movie, that's why you barely see any of his face in the fight, he wouldn't do any stunt work, and refused to be on set for anything other than his own parts. They literally use one scene of him three times in the same fight because they had no footage left.

Jackman did well with the Wolverine role, but only cuz he's a great actor with raspy in his range. That being said he's way too big to be born to play Logan. I personally couldn't get past his size. They should have somehow shrunk him down to about 5' even like in lotr. Great actor but Imo someone like Jason Statham or another rough little guy would've been better suited for the role

He's literally the only one (the new movie isn't coming out anytime soon) but I agree.

His true form was badass though, wasn’t much of a fan of his character but I like the “Sentai” Monster of Drake.

I liked all 3. I've never understood the hate for Trinity, not a perfect movie but a lot going for it. I do think the series ran its course after this, just the same plot where he's fighting a big bad and him killing it using martial arts. Maybe that's why others hate it, not the movie itself just the state of the series.

He just needed to be a little more powerful and not have the one liners every now and then

Not really, it was a glaring plot hole. Novak's mutation was done to him, not giving him Drakes biological markers. I think the visual artists made a mistake, thought something looked cool and ran with it. Drake's monster form was cool as shit, and the jaw bullshit just ruined it.

David S. Goyer was the writer of Blade and Blade II, he shouldn’t even directed it. Stephen Norrington or Guillermo Del Toro should’ve directed Trinity instead even though Del Toro already directed HellBoy the same year 2004.

Ryan Reynolds said it was the worst production of a movie he was ever involved and Patton Oswald said that Wesley Snipes at one point stopped talking to everybody on set and communicated via memos. He also confirmed that there was almost a fist fight between Snipes and director Goyer.

Him being called Drake is a reference to his human descendant Frank Drake. At the time, there was an American astronaut named Frank Drake so they could only use the surname as an alternate first name for Dracula and Dagon in the modern era. Considering Dracula is derived from Drakul which is Romanian for "Dragon"(Draculea, thus means, "Son of the Dragon"), Drake being the modern version fits better than you might think!

The novel actually covered this While Drake was a physically superior warrior, his techniques were dated. He actually missed out on centuries of combat skill evolution. it was these skills that gave Blade an edge and forced Drake to shift to his armored monster form to continue the fight.

Blade is technical. Super well polished striking skills. Drake is more explosive! Overwhelming power that probably flustered enemies before blade. But blade keeps composure and he is resilient.

As for the actors I meant more specifically Ryan Reynolds lol. I'm pretty sure most of his lines were improvised. Some scenes it was funny and some you can tell were forced and Wesley snipes was really looking at him like "wtf stfu already and just read your lines"

These Blade movies were all kinda crappy. Predictable outcome, one dimensional characters, stone faced almost silent wannabe badass protagonist, weird lore that barely makes any sense, questionable acting from the support actors. It wasn't Twilight levels of bad, but it definitely did not do the vampire genre any favors thats for certain, nor the superhero genre that needed Toby Maquires Spiderman to actually get some steam after Blade and X-Men kinda shat the bed.

The older I get, the more I realize why everyone should hate this movie too. When I first watched it as a teen I still thought it was OK. Now, this movie doesn't exist to me. Only the very few fight scenes blade has with vampire minions (since they noticeably cut down his screen time to make way for the costars) are cool enough to worth rewatching. Sadly still, this final fight with drake is crap. I now only tell ppl to watch blade 1 & 2 when introducing the series.

Even from a writing aspect he pretty much phoned this one in. After watching I told friends Blade 3 was a very long music video. Absolutely the weakest of the 3 and the writing is on par with Revenge of the Sith.
