Daniel Blair may have been a supercross LCQ landmark but Ricky is the LCQ landmark of sports broadcasting. Ricky is obviously jealous of DB being the best in the booth. Lost a lot of respect for him from this unintended interview.

I can't believe that happened. Ricky Carmichael is an awful bully, unprofessional, and a poor representative of the promoter and the sport. That was childish of RC. What a doosh!
Daniel is so good at this job. I'm so bummed he left. I think Cooksey media is partially manufactured drama for clicks on his channel, but the way Ricky just acted towards Blair was pretty cringe, weird, and borderline prickish. Maybe Cooksey is onto something.
Is it just me, or was that interaction with Ricky not for the camera at all? Seriously, am I tripping, or could you not feel the animosity in Ricky's voice? I just lost so much respect for #4. Just because you can ride a dirtbike doesn't mean you can walk all over people. Especially not someone as cool as Blair. I'm not with it!
Richard Carmichael SMH. He was such a cocky arrogant prick the first time I saw him in person at an amateur national in 94 but he was a kid. Idk what the excuse could be now. I'm unimpressed when people belittle anyone. I lost what respect I had for him. He's the same Ricky from Lake Whitney Texas back when we were punk ass kids. Winning doesn't give you a pass to be an ass!
I love this format. The level of professionalism and hype these kids are exposed to on the track is so brilliantly complimented by pro's like Daniel Blair covering their journey in video segments like this. Such a bright future for this sport as a result of opportunities like SX Futures and professional media coverage. Well done Daniel.

Often he looks and sounds like he is so intimidated by DB and is going to cry on camera. The gabs he took at DB in this video made me cringe for him. DB just brushes them off like, "yeah ok little Ricky"
I like Leigh because he's an actual professional broadcaster. He calls the action well and knows when to elevate his voice. I rarely hear mistakes from him too
Wow... just wow. DB is such a cool dude. RC was clearly jealous of Daniel's creativity and charisma in front of the camera and wanted to try and discredit him. I remember watching Blair race in Atlanta and he had a great style and technique as a rider and that has clearly carried over to broadcasting. Real motocross racers are rarely "VIPs" so RC can keep the rich D bags...we will keep the guy that would actually go ride and drink a beer with you afterwards.
"He Understands Supercross" is what I got from watching this 😂🤣. I will go break out my old Bounty Hunter Series Programs and look at the Vincent and Daniel Blair glory days now.
Some thing people seem to forget Hayden Deegan 14 months ago was riding a super mini he was a B class rider at Redbud at the combine just because people have seen him grow up on video. They seem to forget the little things Dexter‘s been on a big bike for a full year before Hayden touched one, but that seems to get overlooked by all of you announcers! You all need to start speaking those points on TV broadcasts he just turned 17 he was a B class rider left in a year ago forget about his previous accomplishments acknowledge the fact of the kids infancy on this platform in which I mean bike
Ricky is obviously the “chosen one” of moto because he can suck in the booth for 5 years yet still be employed by NBC. His ego does not like Blair in the booth for a reason. Ricky do the sport a solid and stick to giving tours. Blair MVP
that was definately an awkward exchange they had. Ricky can't even hide it. there's a ton of resentment there. for what it's worth, I don't think Blair is the golden boy of supercross presenting, commentating,or analytics...he has the gift of gab, which makes him easy to listen to, but he isn't some independant voice, with his own opinions and insights...he tows a corporate line like all of the rest of them. He pumps story lines, he regurgitates common sentiment...he's sort of a salesman/hypeman/analyst thing-a-ma-jig for the Supercross brand. one day, this sport will have someone who has it all. true insight, and the ability to articulate it. so far, we've only had bits of one or the other.
@@oliverdurgen5953 it’s odd to me Ricky seems threatened by DB but I think DB’s best quality in the booth is getting the most out of Ricky. I admit Ricky has been pretty good next to DB with the exception of Oakland. Seemed like someone told DB to stay in his own lane which lead to Ricky having a tough time saying anything worth while. I hate to be someone that complains about the commentating but with DB in booth I really enjoy the show since he digs in a little deeper than the rest and sees the little things the others don’t.
After watching the 2nd round of the outdoor motocross, my wife asked me to show her the video of RC being an ass, I said "I don't think he's being an ass , RC is just a little outward. U played the vid and she was instantly pissed at RC and convinced that he's the reason Daniel left, and I'm thinking her and Krazy Cooksey might be right
Great broadcast Daniel Blair, you are a very knowledgeable consummate professional. After seeing the way Carmichael interacted with you, he just erased any respect I had for him as a racer. All that his interaction with you did was make him look like he's very jealous and intimidated the broadcaster you are.
Wow holy crap. I can't believe RC did that. And those "VIP's" laughing at RC being a dick...fuck those people. DB has more right and reason to be on that jump than at least those VIP's. At least DB can put a sentence together. And FFS, to someone employed by the promoters or whatever (sorry my terminology is lacking but I don't pay enough attention I guess lol)...RC acting like a CEO of the whole deal when he's nowhere near that level is unreal. That's sad.

Every race ricky talks about his preference for 2nd place over leading the race? Every time? Again today? He just says anything?Can't they just watch when nothing interesting to say or at least New?
If you watched current broadcasts with Ricky, this is what I see, sloppy at times, and medication is also talking for him. My first taste of Ricky on Bud Light was 2022MXDN Redbud Friday preshow and he was tanked on the stage. Funny is ok, sloppy is Embarrassing...

I had/have no idea what kind of guy he was/is when the cameras are off, but if this is a glimpse into who he really is, then he friggin SUCKS... It also resembles someone that hasn't been punched in the mouth lately, for talking to someone like they're a peasant. Now that you mention it, it would explain why he sounds like such a mush-mouth on the broadcasts. I REALLY noticed it during this SX season. This bums me out...
DB didn’t even budge! soo professional way to keep a cool head, RC has no chance at being top dog in this race. he ought to stick to talking about what he knows “the past” on a podcast perhaps and let Daniel talk about what he knows the RIDERS. so much better delivery on every word spoken as well. Bring DB back😡
They need to make Indy a futures. Indy has always been a round that separates men from the boys in supercross with how gnarly it gets. It would be cool to see them there and Daytona.
