I have to agree. My soon to be ex was arrested again for breach of AVO. I found the courage to come forward and report all the breaches and historic abuse. Everything is still fresh and I found out only a few days ago from my son that she had abused him in terrible ways. Reported that also. So now I see myself as protecting us both and seeking justice for him! I also feel a huge weight off my shoulders as my parents are retired and helping too.

Same… divorced due to abuse and i was doing everything as a single parent even with me being married to him. No child support nothing or help from family except for my mom.

Too many of us have that comment thumbed up for the same reason.

Didnt address the single parenting. I have addressed gender balance which you argued for. Eventhough I am almost sure you and your girlfriends are paid 70 cent to the dollar for the same job . And if not, great! But this is a different discussion. Your response does not contradict mine. We are on the same side. Just dont pretend there is equality...founded research shows otherwise.

You did nothing wrong. We just have to stop connecting with guys that are not for us. Guys that God did not intend for us to be with. He has one man for one woman. But we make the mistake of being with men God did not call us to be with. These are sometimes counterfeits the devil sends or a test to see if we will obey God and not go into temptation. Then when we fall for the wrong guy. You find all these red flags or you are not compatible.....then things don't work out and there is heart break. Or abuse, or you are just being used and taken advantage of and he ends up leaving you. Then you have soul ties to deal with afterwards. I think it has to start with us women learning how to love ourselves and wait for God's best. Will it be hard...yes. But you will have a clear mind and no toxic situations any more. You have to ask yourself why it didn't work out with the guy and and think of the positives. You don't want to be with someone that never loved you or you are not compatible with for the rest of your life. Things would only get worse and you would have a miserable relationship and marriage. I'm saying these things to not only you but myself too because I'm going through it now. And it's HARD. But all we can really do is pick ourselves up and move on. Will it be easy. Absolutely NOT. I know aI will cry and feel lonely and feel regretful. Things will come up. But life is too short to just dwell on negative emotions forever. I believe you will be OK. Love yourself and be encouraged..God will have someone for you in time.

This is where I've been. I was in the marriage but single parent when he was here. When he left, I noticed I wasn't any more lonely than I was when he was here. The loneliness is so greeting because I was already lonely.

How did you get to that point? I find myself lonely when my daughter is with her dad. I try and reach out to friends to see if they want to get together but they usually have plans with their husbands. It's been tough trying to find my place as a single parent, especially when I have no one that understands what I'm going through. I just recently finalized my divorce and don't get me wrong I would rather be alone than ever be back with my ex. I guess I just need time. 😕

Exactly... Totally agree with you.... Single parent is totally different to a parent working abroad or going out every week or month, that means that you are bulding a better future for your family, and you expect to have a faithful partner either...

Thank you! God. 🤦‍♀️🤬🤣 This video really minimizes how incredibly hard it has been being a single mother. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be hard to be in a relationship with a spouse who has to be away, but it would be a lot easier than not having a spouse and not having that income. I have a career as an elementary teacher and my commute is an hour and a half (sometimes 2 hours depending on traffic)… that is a total of 3 to 4 hours of driving on every day on weekdays. My ex sometimes gives me $50 a month for child support. He lives an hour away from me 🤣… so, that little money just goes to the gas tank. I work a second job on top of it, because I still can’t afford my bills… because teaching doesn’t pay enough. Both my kids have struggles with emotions and behaviors (it’s gotten better) where they were very hurtful towards me to the point of physical at times. I don’t have a significant other to vent to or someone to help with the bills… and the funny thing is I know I should be grateful, because there are single mothers out there whom have it way worse than me. But man… I’m exhausted. This video is so annoying. And just stupid to lump us all together with another group that doesn’t even know the half of how hard it is.

@@MrsYolandicook Wow, that is such a great point! I'm sorry for what you are going through and I understand the financial and emotional struggles especially with no help. I dont like when she says you choose to be happy. We are only human and can only take so much. I dont get breaks hardly ever and feel I'm in constant survival mode. I'm sure you can understand and we dont always have a choice to get a break. Luckily, we can work to build a better life if we keep searching. We single mothers truly need some kind of support.

Same.....I'm afraid life will be hell again raising my 8 year old. He is rebellious sometimes and doesn't listen to me. And now I have a little girl. I know it's not gonna be easy. And her dad spoke word curses against me about me and my son and it just made me feel worse.

I have no one to help me with money and I don’t have the emotional support. If my kids need something financially… it’s me. If they need something emotionally… it’s me. If they are mad at me… me. 🤷‍♀️ if they get in trouble… yup… me. 🤣 Nothing at all like being in a healthy relationship with someone that isn’t home for a year or whatever. Totally different.

You sound very similar to how I felt when I became a new mom. It was absolutely tough, but your life doesn't always have to be. Meditation really helped me to get out of my head and in a more calmer space. Tell yourself positive statements and surround yourself around supportive people. You are wonderful!👍

Erica T I would say “you know mommy and daddy love you very much. Sometimes mommy and daddy can no longer live together and they need to live in separate houses. So we are going to be moving and you will be living with mommy. Mommy will always be here and I am not going anywhere. I wanted to let you know what is going on.” You cannot go into too much because at 4 years old they really do not know but you can start the talk and always reminding them that this has nothing to do with them and mommy an daddy still love you.
