Blank Screen Solved 2016 Malibu 

My car started doing this today , found your video and unplugged and fiddled with all the cords and it’s already fixed . Just saved me a trip to the dealership

It is the blue cord underneath the dashboard on the right hand side, under the glove box.

This video just fixed my 2017 Malibu. Thank you!

Just tried this today (July 25, 2023) and it worked. I have a 2016 Hybrid and I had 2 pins to remove (about the knee area). My plug-ins were on the passenger side of the wall. Felt like one was loose. Pressed them all back tight and when I started the car the screen came on. Thanks for the tip !!

Thanks! Our screen was blank but backup camera still worked. Pulling the radio fuse, cleaning it, and putting it back in fixed the blank screen. Bought a spare fuse kit just in case... 🙂

Was also able to fix my daughter's 2014 Impala with this hint. The Impala had 2 screws to drop the panel under the glove compartment. I was able to access the connectors through there and push the loose one back in. Thanks for the tip!

For those struggling with the buttons, it is a 2 part button. You have to pry the center circle cap out first (it acts as an expander), then you pry out the rest of the plug frame. To put them back in, put the center circle expander slightly into the frame first, (just far enough to go inside the slot), then push the pointed housing frame into the carpet hole and into the car hole, then press the center cap all the way in to expand wings and hold in the hole.

Thank you, thank you. This fixed my blank screen, I tried all the other suggestions also. I could not figure out at first where exactly the location, my son explained it was under the glove compartment. In fact, on my 2016 (new design), the plugs are to the right of the glove compartment. It was very difficult to unplug some of the connectors because of tight locations but I managed to unplug slightly all but one. There’s green, blue and grey plugs. But it worked. Again a big thank you.

I did the black and blue and it worked! Thank you, blue did back up cam, black did the rest!

I got a brand new battery just over a month ago after the screen went blank and having the battery tested to find out it was almost dead. Just had the screen go black again so I’m definitely gonna check this out and hopefully it’s that or just have to reconnect my battery cables again

It did not work for me. I have 2016 Malibu. I did what you mentioned ( my god that stupid button was a pain to remove ) I unplugged everything ( there is a way more than 3 cables...) and replugged them all... litterraly nothing happen at all. Still black screen. Have to find another solution. Thks for your video tho.

I just did the two easy gray ones before I tried the more difficult plugs and thag fixed it

Not many other good tips out on the web. I show the location to reset / Reconnect the HDMI or other cable / wires.
