French here, i am also horrfied to see what happened and very sad for this, i am a Roman Catholic and felt offensed by this depiction at the olympic overture. This is very heart breaking to see how deep in aposthasy France nowaday is, when it used to be the Eldest Daughter of the Church. I am also sad to see people litteraly hating my country because of it when it is only a leftist minority who made this "show". But i pray that, just like when Peter denied Jesus three times, my poeple will come back Home, because if God himself wanted France to continue to exit, by sending St Jeanne d'Arc, it is because there is an unknown reason behind that. Here in France, it seems like you cannot express your grief for this type of insult against your own religion. As an Orthodox Priest, I believe that this is a horrible blasphemy! I offer my prayer in reparation for this demonstration of Satan's hold on this world!

This is the first Olympics that I'm boycotting.

I saw the mockery right after coming home from Mass and receiving Holy Communion. I spent the next day churning out letters of protest, one of which has since been published in the paper. Then the other night, I was assaulted by a bizarre, evil, unearthly and sickening nightmare that didn't feel like a normal dream. I've seen a lot of horror in my working life but this dream was worse than all of it put together. I can't shake the feeling it was a demonic attack for speaking out and I'm not the kind of person to normally revert to such assumptions. If it was, good, it means the enemy is desperate. We all also need to pray for the poor kids who were put up there with the drag show and for their physical and spiritual welfare.

The title of the piece was "La Cene sur une Scene sur la Seine." La Cene is the French name for the Last Supper. a Scene is a stage. La Seine is the river that goes through Paris. When they say it wasn't really meant to be the Last Supper, they are lying.

Our Holy Face prayer group is organizing a ‘Procession of Reparation’ from the Cathedral to the French Embassy a short walk away. We are in Ottawa, Canada. We will be holding it 3 times through the coming week. Praying for conversion of France and in Reparation to our Lord.

On a hopeful note, France had a record high of adult baptisms this year. The number increases every year. It’s a phenomena that even the bishops aren’t sure how to explain. They say it isn’t through their efforts of evangelization. The expression they used is “we opened the door and they’re coming through the windows”. Mostly young adults who were taught to pray as children by their grandmothers, not their parents. ❤

I am nobody, but I was going to watch and that was my plan. My little protest is simply not watch and make it my plan instead to pray the Holy Rosary, in reparation.😢

The "it's a reference to Feast of the Gods painting" fails on 1 major fundamental point...that painting itself was a blasphemy when it was painted. It also gave rise to the nonsense that the Catholic Church was rebranded Greco-Roman religion. It was blasphemous because you'll note that at the table in the middle is Jesus and John the evangelist. So yes, even if you based it 100% on that painting, it is still blasphemy of Christ. Sad that the Iranians put up a vocal defense of this, but "Catholic" Joe Biden hasn't, and especially the Pope's complete silence on it is unhelpful.

As disgusted and appalled as I am at this foul display, I have found that it has actually strengthened my devotion to the Faith. I was beginning to slack off in my prayer life, but after viewing this spectacle, I have found a renewed desire to pray more often and more deeply. I have a feeling that many Catholics are experiencing the same thing.

If the defamation of Islam had been depicted: Mohammed in drag, touching or kissing the Black Stone in an inappropriate manner, or desecration of a mosque… there would have been violent protests, fatwas issued, and (possible) grave harm to the participants of the vignette. We MUST start speaking out to defend our beautiful faith, God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m heartbroken that Western society has reached this point…what has happened to our culture and society? Today, we covered the opening ceremony in one of my university lectures. The lecturer opened with, "Who feels strongly about the opening ceremony?" I'm happy to say, that as a result of these kinds of videos that have been released all over since the ceremony, I could have the confidence in standing up for my faith and religion, and to have a conversation generate from it. One of the objections that were brought up was, "Christians are meant to practice tolerance." I could not help but think of Rev. Calvin's point, "tolerance and niceness are no virtues." I hope my story, as with this video, inspires us Christians to take courage and make a stand. To love the Lord our God, and to love our neighbor. Thank you, Matt, as always, for your content.

I am observing is that a lot of people are being moved by such occurrences. I hope that more people turn back to the Church, and Christ due to these actions. I hope that people re discovered their faith.
