@@Valskyr At first I was confused because they have like a 0.3 kd overall but then I saw the IB stats and wow. like a 50kd and 90% win rate. Not sure if it is the original account owner hacking or if they gave/sold their account. Last regular pvp match was in 2022.

My question is... what exotic energy special is worth using Blast Furnace over Revision Zero? The energy slot doesn't have a Conditional Finality or even a chaperone. Duality is cool, but it isn't as effective as those powerhouse options. Athrys also covers some of the utility you'd get from a fusion rifle... so why not essentially have a pulse rifle, a shotgun, a knife, AND a sniper? With Hunter's Trace IV it has better base stats in every column except for 8 range and shoots like a laser beam. That 8 range means it loses 1 meter of range total, but with Blast Furnace you almost need to run a handling masterwork or Fluted (or both, like Cammy is doing) to make it not a brick anyway. I personally use High Cal rounds, and even with the flinch nerfs it still flinches like hell. I suppose if I just happen to get the PvP roll I want, I might keep it, but I don't see enough value for me to grind 100 hours for the roll that's maybe better when I can just go to the enclave and craft a Revision Zero.

@@Gunnar120 Suppose it’s personal preference. I think Devil’s Ruin and Fighting Lion can complement the Athrys playstyle, and Tarrabah is a great force multiplier. You could box people in with Telesto, or bash barricades with Tommy’s Matchbook. Divinity is funny and has synergy with the knives. Fourth Horseman NUKES supers if you *really* want a Conditional equivalent.

It's also an effective range and ttk thing. The only place you can really pop off with it is on and long range, with no pushing. It makes you play slow and methodically. If you miss the two burst the fire rate is very unforgiving. The only way to make it consistent is to have the recoil memorized, have kill clip up, or get lucky with your head seeker shoots. Where with belisarius you have slice and a few other more conservative pvp perks with a better versatile stats pool. He's not saying the gun isn't good. Just for high level pvp it doesn't shake things up like hammer did, or imortal. It's a fun gun that dose good however the archetype and perks put into a box play style. If you ever have a problem with people rocking you with it, sawp to a scout, servant leader, jade, hung jury, dmt they all beat it out of its effective range. And if they hard push to make up for it rock a 140, an smg, or trace rifle and you've fully countered this pulse. Also if you wanted to be as pedantic as you are, just get an adept insidious highest possible stats and best perks with a one of the best traits in the game. It's a matter of playstyle and rank diff.

Belisarius feels unusable, regardless of the roll. Blast furnace just works.

Except he outright says it's also a personal preference and it's still a good gun at the end of the day, just that the archetype overall falls behind certain options specifically from a high competitive standpoint.

There is none. High impacts wash aggressives.

I have a Shiny Blast Furnace with Arrowhead, Acc. Rounds, Headseeker, and Rapid hit. With a handling masterwork. You ain't wrong, i tried Zen Moment and Keep Away. But the range/ stability those perks gave weren't really needed as the stats at base were good. Rapid hit makes the thing good at dueling. The reload after is always nice. It also has a kill clip...but im not bothering with it atm, the damage makes everyone melt like butter. But the reload is ABYSMALLY bad Im still new with 4 burst rifles. You have any tips on using them?

@@SamStraker if you start dueling 340 pulses, walk backwards, the fall off on 340s is hilariously bad unless they have consistency perks because 4 bursts have more range

I have one with arrowhead break, appended mag, kinetic tremors and frenzy. It’s a work horse in pve! The extra 2 burst from appended mag gives me more opportunities to proc kinetic tremors and frenzy. Surprisingly good synergy!

Belisarius had weird recoil, so rapid hit really helps a lot. For Blast Furnace, zen moment + kill clip + max handling is the godroll to chase (dueling + kills chaining)

Sounds like you might just prefer the high impact archetype.

Nah, just check d2foundry, the gun hits a ceiling there's no need to stack damage perks, that's why his roll doesn't include it.

yeap but any high impact can easily 2 burst any resil with headseeker, 6 shots take less time than 8.... learn to count please

and not because the patch notes says that something is meta it means its viable, more time shooting more shots mean more flinch you have to handle, no patch notes or sandox update will ever fix that, have a mind of your own
