Bleaching My Roots | Life Update 

Even if someone decides to continue riding their bikes, proper gear is so important. Wear your helmets, boots, gloves and leathers. I see all these girls in flip flops and daisy dukes trying to be cute and I'm like girl you are gonna lose a limb and some skin. Gear up!

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband’s coworker and your friend. My sincerest condolences. I completely understand how you feel and what your husband is going through because I have been experienced the loss of an amazing, coworker and close friend myself due to someone not paying attention while driving! He was riding his motorcycle to work in the morning and because of a driver that was not paying attention he lost his life. 😢 He left behind his wife and son and all of us that loved and dearly carded about him. The loss is tremendous.

I will adopt the Japanese custom of wearing a mask when I'm ill, and I'm not going to go back to handshaking either. Never liked it , I don't know where that hand has been! I also loved the fact that my mask has been helpful with my social anxiety. If I'm having to go to the store, I will be out amongst my neighbours, feeling anxious. With the mask on, and my sunglasses, I feel less anxious. On the flip side, it will be nice to be able breath unencumbered again!

Girl I just had this happen too and god I feel. A girl who took me into her friends group and saved me from myself back in high school was hit by a car and passed away recently. It was so surreal and seeing her chair at graduation with her cap, robe, ropes and her diploma just killed me. An 18 year old girl with so so much potential. I hope she knew the light she shed into my life with her kindness.. May you rest in piece Aliyah Garris ❤️❤️❤️

So sorry for the loss of your husband's friend. A friend of mine lost her brother several years ago while riding. Someone in a car didn't fully stop, he had the right-of-way. It's a tough decision. Stay safe.

I've seen and personally had so many lives go. I struggled with WHY! Ive come to the conclusion the only reason we are here is impact. Make your impact positive, joyous and worthy. I don't disbelieve in heaven/afterlife. I just think you live on in those you leave impact on. You don't go anywhere after you die, you are already in the hearts of those you have impacted on. Its important to Keep speaking about and thinking fondly about those that are physically not here, keep their impact alive. Ensure your own impact is one that you'd want to be kept alive.

When I was In high school I dated this boy for a short time and then a few years later he was riding his motorcycle and the same thing happened someone hit him out of nowhere, not his fault at all and the saddest part was that his dad was riding on his own motorcycle right behind him when it happened, so he had to watch the whole horrific incident and there was nothing he could do... so sad...

My husband was 26 when he got hit and killed on his motorcycle we had two kids ages 2 and one month old so I know how that feels to lose someone like that praying for you guys and the family!!

I was following my brother on the highway while he was riding and I was driving a car, it had been raining that morning and when we were approaching a red light his bike slipped and he dumped it and fell over with it on him.. I’ve never been more thankful it was me behind him and not someone else not paying attention..

So sorry about your friend, that is so tragic. My husband too lost his friend when he was younger, his friend was only 20 years old & was killed on his motorcycle when he was hit by a drunk driver. He left behind his fiance and newborn daughter 😪

I had a friend die on a motorcycle as well and my dad almost died on his. They're so fun but yeah, doesn't seem worth the risk.. :/ I'm so sorry for your loss

So sorry for your guys loss, completely understand your stance on bikes and driving safely! I never knew my grandmother...she rode a moped to work (she was a nurse) and after her nightshift when my mum was 20, she was riding home and a drunk driver hit her. He killed her instantly and left her in the street, she had just bought her first home after years of saving and been in it 4 days when it happened. My mum is still messed up about it after 34 years, because their last conversation was a fight......(you know being 20 and all that). The guy got an 18month sentence and served 9 in jail for what he did. Motorcycles are a no in my house and its sad because lots of things are a risk but it hits different watching your mum suffer still after all this time. My eldest daughter is named after her grandmother, shame she never got to meet her grandbabies or great- grandbabies💔

i have also had a coworker die and the story behind it still keeps me up at night. We only worked together for one day, but the day we worked together we were talking about weight loss and health and things of that sort. He told me how he lost quite a bit of weight and so naturally I ask if he was on any medications because of his complications with his weight and he told me he was on blood pressure medication. With the experience I have with family members being on blood pressure medication and losing weight I ask him if he went to the doctor to change his dosage to match his weight and he said no. I then told him how my cousin had a severe stroke because of this that has left her left side paralyzed. The literal next day I get a text from my manager saying that he passed away last night. It has been eating me up inside ever since because I feel like I spoke this into the universe, and I am a firm believer that your words are extremely powerful

I can empathize with you and your husband so much. Loosing someone so abruptly and out of the blue is so scary and heartbreaking, especially when it’s due to the recklessness of another person. My sister was also hit by a car while she was on a motorcycle, and although she didn’t die, her life is forever changed. I hope drivers and the streets in general just become more conscious of motorcycles.

So sorry about your loss. A couple years back I had something kinda similar happen where someone I went to high school with was riding his motorcycle and was killed by a 16 year old unlicensed driver. I wasn't super close to him but to know someone who died at such a young age (we were 18/19 at the time) is such a shock. I can't even imaging what its like to have that happen to someone super close like a friend/coworker.

I work at target and through the last year, you can ABSOLUTELY tell when someone smiles with a mask on from your eyes. I would still smile at people and they would smile back. But it is so comforting seeing faces again and actually seeing smiles. However, my contouring skills need some work now 😂

I'm 57 and just now getting comfortable with certain parts of my body, especially my legs. No matter what size, I believe that everyone should love and accept themselves and feel free to wear whatever they feel comfortable wearing. I'm fully vaccinated and I don't wear a mask anymore.

YOU YOU What you are doing THAT is body positivity. TRUE body positivity. Making positive choices, positive changes, taking it easy, doing it gently, loving your body the way it is during the process of getting helathier and wearing whatever the hell you want to wear. Not those people denying science, denying medicine, promoting BED while they pretend to hate EDs (when they actually only hate PEOPLE with An****** and Bu*****) etc. But I agree you shouldn't make a video about your weight loss (although it might be nice to spread some real positivity) but not because "you're not a doctor", but because these above-mentioned ppl might attack you, accuse you of being pro-ana, f*t-phobic etc... Still, I'm really glad that you are doing this for yourself

You are completely correct that tragic unexpected accidents are so hard to go through. My brother was 19, I was 21 when he was killed by a drunk driver. Here one day and gone in the morning. Our family has never been the same. He was the best guy and would have given the shirt off his back to anyone. It makes me sad when I think about my kids and how they never got to meet their uncle. They would have loved him. Drunk driver is free and healthy living his life. Doesn’t seem fair one bit.

I teared up when you were talking about your husbands coworker. My brother passed away a month after his 23rd birthday because of a motorcycle accident as well. It is very hard when a death happens where one second they’re there and the next they’re gone. 💔

Man I had a coworker I was really close with pass away unexpectedly and it's hard as hell. I have to say I agree that coworkers at times can be closer than family so losing one youre close with is so painful. Prayers go out to u and ur husband.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you and your husband are doing well. I actually drive a motorcycle myself and it's shocking how bad a lot of people drive. I'm from the Netherlands and I think it isn't that easy to get your divers license here in comparison to the rest of the world. But it still shocks me how much I need to pay attention to just not get hit by a car. On the other hand, I love driving my motorcycle so much, it feels so freeing, I don't want to get rid of it. But I'll always try to stay safe and be very alert to the cars on the road and it hits me when I hear this story.

I lost a supervisor at my work on halloween last year due to a motorcycle accident and i was pretty close with him and it’s rough to get through. I’m still trying to process it almost a year later. Every time I see someone on a bike especially other people at my work, it makes me scared and worry for them. For riders, proper gear is a must. You shouldn’t be riding without the safest protection and for other drivers, watch for bikes, keep space in between and just be cautious for them.

My family lives on the countryside and actually lives with their mices in peace. It’s kinda weird hearing them scratching inside the walls but as long as they don’t harm the structure or make dirt they can do whatever they want. Underneath their roof is a little dirt but it doesn’t smell and they don’t harm anything or anyone. As I said they live in peace with them😂 grew up with it and can’t be less bothered. PS: They have a modern home but a old build.

Call me crazy but I love the faded, ashy blue brown color. I think that’s close to my natural shade, too. After literally 15+ years of constantly having my hair colored, I wanna go back to natural and everything I try lifts so warm.

As you were coloring, I noticed you look fabulous with a side part. My husband had a major motorcycle accident at the end of Sept, 2020 due to the driver being in his lane oncoming. She was texting. His options were get hit head on or take the ditch. He chose the ditch. He was stat flighted to UofL hospital and underwent major facial reconstruction surgery and has 10 titanium plates in his face as well as other injuries. At his last follow up appt. they told us he had at least 2 more years of recovery. Btw, I'm in Kentucky 😆. We're neighbors. I love your videos, your personality. You're an amazing young lady!

I'm very sorry for the loss of his friend. My dad was in 2 motorcycle accidents, and then died from cancer. I'm actual planning to but a motorcycle because it helps me feel close to him. Everyone has a story and has to make the best decision for themself.

I know this video is a year old but I relate to this story a lot, one of my close friends from elementary school, he passed away from an OD at 14 years old and then a year later my cousin took his life. My friends case was actually pretty huge and just recently the person who gave him the dr*gs was charged with manslaughter. The hardest part of life is losing someone you love but unfortunately it’s just something that happens, I hope anyone who reads this holds their loved ones a little tighter and protects them, you never know when you could lose them.💜

I know three people who have passed away from riding their motorcycles in collisions with other vehicles. It’s tough. I’m sorry for your loss 😔

Please try not to feel so bad about Cosmo. You're a great cat mom! I've been a vet tech for 15 years and it happens ALL THE TIME. Every pet has their own personality, some couldn't care less and some despise the vet. I have to sedate my own cats for everything, they are 13 and I've had them since they were 6 weeks, lol. So sorry for your guys' loss. 🖤🖤🖤When I was 10 my little brother's god-dad (his dad's best friend) died on his motorcycle. He lost control and hit a tree late at night. Of course he was such a great person, and only 25. Growing up I wouldn't date anyone with a bike, and when my husband and I got together he mentioned boh his uncle and cousin rode and had been in accidents, and he wasn't interested. Thank goodness, because that and drunk driving are deal breakers for me (also lost a dear friend who was in a car with his friend driving drunk). We live in CA so it's moe dangerous due to lane-splittig and filtering being legal.
