Hello. I also make animated textures in the shading panel but I don't know which of the plugins you mentioned can export them. If I give an example, can you specify with which plugin I can output a lava flow or a complex motion effect? have a nice day

A lot of those baker don't bake Cycles lighting or do they ? And what about cage baking (custom made cage), it's absolutely mandatory to get a perfect bake on complex and twisted meshes. But I don't hear about that a lot in those add-ons descriptions.

Does simple bake make it easier to bake multiple textures on a single object to one map - ie does it bypass the process of copying the texture node to all shader panels for each material before baking?

Hi. I'm wondering about such a thing. We can bake and output textures in the shading panel of the blender. For example, I created a lava flow, animation in the shading panel, so how do I output it? Also my main goal is to dump this output into an unreal engine.

The problem with the Principled Baker is that you can only bake up to 4K it seems.

There seems to be a Custom item, you can enter anything you want in it.

I'm confused. Doesn't Blender come with the option to bake by default? Why are further add-ons needed?

Blender's built-in workflow for baking textures is notorious for being difficult to set up. It's also very easy to forget one step and waste hours rendering something, only to find out much later that you made a mistake somewhere. Many of these tools also automate the process of unwrapping your model(s) and creating the extra UV channels you need for things like light/shadow baking.
