I would love to see a tutorial on the basics of animation nodes. I totally lost it when you said "Now I have confused all of you". Great work though! Pacing of the tutorial is spot on.
Nice effect and great tut, thanks so much. Loving AN and I really like the way you explain the hard stuff like looping. So many others take that all for granted.
Excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I really like the way you explain how the loop node works. I love to see more from your tutorials for AN noobs like me.
Will do more tutorials like this after finishing Animation Nodes Basics. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_7ZaA_Zi1UI.html&list=PLzx5ZMG3gsG9CFi-w_v76eDnzPCZau2MF&index=1
very helpfull tutorial thanks :) notice that you don't actually change the velocity of the seperate lines: they all have the same velocity which is 1/10 up on the z axe (this mean on the curve) each frame. by adding a random number it's just offsetting this position. If you want to change the actual velocity, you should multiply this value randomly
Thank you for the tutorial! I'm having some issues when rendering the animation. Using Blender 2.78 / GPU render / about 400 instances (I'm sure isn't memory error). Blender simply crashes and close. No error msgs. Any tips how to workaround it? How can I get a log or debug info? Thanks in advance!
Oh, this is my first animation nodes animation. xD Tho, I still have no idea how exactly I should do something I want to do and make it animating in that specific way I want it to be animated. And the only reason for that is I have no programming background, but at least I made something that works. :D
Hey Kevin Loustau thanks for the appreciation! I'm working on animation nodes basics right now. I know I'm very slow at uploading videos but I have to manage a full time job and a family. but still I'll try to make more videos for AN. Thanks!
Fusion nodes or Maya nodes are very good tools for doing lots of great stuff but they are suited for a specific purpose thus hiding a lot of low level stuffs like"nested loops" to make it more user friendly. Animation nodes is basically python scripting but it's visual.
Some issues with resolution preview and render: when i change the value at "render U: 60", my renders and previews still showing a low resolution curve. Some bug?
A great tutorial. I want a help please? after Loop input connected to Random vector and scaled(as 9:07 in this tutorial), can I rotate all the lines around the curve?(when I rotate Object transforms Output it rotates only alone individual lines, but I want all lines around the curve). Thanks
@@ThinkingPenguin thank you verry much, I tried connect Compose Matrix to my random vector node and finally Object matrix output. But lines only rotates their own center, I want all lines rotate alone main center path .Thanks
Hey man will be super nice to create tutorials on the basics of the animation nodes.. I'm looking to start learning staff on this base. Can you do it from particles... not from a vertex. For example, can you do such an effect combining particle systems? www.aixsponza.com/assets/Blog/curl-traceer-07-goat-02.jpg
David McSween I have started working on basics of animation nodes tutorials you can watch it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_7ZaA_Zi1UI.html I will look into the reference image you provided.
Hey Derek! sorry for the late response. In this tutorial I am using the older version of animation nodes (1.7 I guess). Newer version has changed a lot of things so I need to take a look at that first. give me few days I'll get back to you.
