Thanks for yet another non-timelapse tutorial, with accurate & easy to follow descriptions..I'm switching from maya to blender, and you provide cool models and projects without arrogance or talking too fast like some other hot shots...much respect yo!!
@@BlenderArtI give up when you said to delete one side for some reason it’s deleting the middle part and it doesn’t connect when I mirror it you get that 2 star on yelp😡
22:30 No, you didn't mess up. He forgot to mention that in the very beginning, when you're adding in your reference image, you have to line up the middle of the body with the z axis (the long blue line) in order for the origin to properly mirror, otherwise it will mirror the wrong side. Hope this helps.
About 2 weeks ago I started learning Blender, with nothing more than some basic knowledge of the C4D form from almost 10 years ago. It's so addictive! After the obvious unavoidable donut course (...) I started modeling on my own, only Googling when I needed information on a specific issue I could not solve myself, which speeds up the learning progress significantly I think. Your tutorials are very helpful in that process! Easy to follow, with a pleasant pace and clear instructions. Thank you, keep up the great work!
bro, your tutorial is one of kind, it took me like 5 hours to complete just this part. you explain the process really well, i'll stick around through all parts even if it takes a whole day, thanks a lot man.
I watched this and when you said don’t make to big goals make small goals I agree my first goal is Make a character in blender Then rig that character Then do simple animation with that character Then make an anime!!! Last step join a corrupt anime studio!!!
16:30, is woefully missing from several other videos I've watched and makes life so much easier when working from reference. 25:50 if anyone has an issue with selecting the edge around here, double check if you have 3 button mouse emulation on in Edit>Preferences>Input as that will interfere with edge select.
if you are drawing a character using a ref image, and you are using both front and side view, and it happens that the front view is invisible despite being in solid mode, how do you fix it to be visible, anyone please
Thanks for this great tutorial, but I do have a question, When I extrude the first part of the legs, the middle part gets one vertex stuck there and it's connected to the mirrored part for some reason, I also cannot move them around, any idea what's going on?
Are the following parts going to lead all the way up to the Intro Result? Was a little disappointed that the previous Beginner modeling tutorial just kinda ended. No rigging, posing or scene compositing. Still going to watch this one through! ❤
Hi! Amazing video. just wanted to ask, after i added the mirror modifire everything was good. but after a few minutes i could edit the mirrored side and it wont even mirrored the other part. plz help me!
from the pivot point you can scale move and rotate it's the center of an object.. when we reset the pivot point we will apply the scale, rotation and location.. that can help us to add a mirror modifier as an example without any problems
I’ve watched tons of Blender tutorials for beginners and they all have terrible teachers. If you make any tutorial, take some time and plan the video carefully. And stop speaking about unnecessary b.s.
AMAZING! Thank you very much! It took me 6h to do what you did in 30min! But I did it!!! I'm so proud of myself and so glad you explain so well! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!!!
There are very few tutorials on RU-vid for beginners on how to make a character from start to finish and I'm sure there are better ones, but the character models in the tutorials you share are very good and cute and most importantly you teach the whole process step by step. Your channel has exactly the character modeling tutorials I need to get started, thank you so much for sharing these tutorials. These tutorials are valuable as gold for those who want to learn 3D character design.
What do I do if a thigh vertecy gets stuck on the mirror side Im trying to do the thighs and the vertecy got stuck with the mirror side and I can't move it out
I wonder if there are some courses which can teach you how to create model and stuff around it like "how to add emotions or how to add flexes, etc." and what things are important during creation and so on. This tutorial is amazing, its realy helpfull mainly for beginers. But I will want to know/lear more about character creation, but when I want to create my own character without 2D art knowlege "how to create a sketch"....I think its imposible. But anyway thank you for tutorial.
No matter how many times I repeat the video, and my actions, I end up having a weird shape that can't be called a torso. I do what you do exactly but the part right before adding a neck, my object starts to look different. Then I end up having totally different thing. :(
Best Blender video out there! Teaches you pretty much everything for modelling a character at a simple level, explores pretty much all the tools on the side bar for modelling a characters as well as tips and better alternatives that other tutorial wont most likely include. Anyways Thanks for the video it helped me understand how to model a character easily.
