you don't need to copy the 'simple deform modifier', it slides to a maximum of 360 degrees but you can enter higher values. just enter 720 and press [Enter].
@@luisdarian8421 omg, what's wrong with you? also Deacon Brooks is totally not you with a second account which just answered right after your first comment... lol i bet it's some kind of scam.. edit: both accounts are even created on the same day xD
Great content lately! Make sure you don`t upload too often, those who upload tutorials everyday usually burn out really fast and quit in my experience. Your channel can grow large if you manage your energy and motivation right.
This guy is is fabulous, and we are looking forward to his tutorials. But you know what, your tutorials are also great - so we would be grateful if you also decide to increase your upload frequency. :-)
Olav is right. Your followers want to keep pace with you. One good example of someone growing good is Imphenzia. His releases are timely and people wait for the next release.
In case you're working on a laptop without a numberpad: I was struggling with the "Select more" shortcut mentioned at 3:23. If you're having the same issue, go to Edit > Preferences > Keymap and enter "select more" into the search bar. In the search results, find the section "Mesh" and change the first entry to cmd + "+" (the "+" that is available on your non-numpad laptop, you could of course choose any shortcut you like). It should work then. You should restore the original shortkeys afterwards though, just in case you've accidently overwritten another shortcut.
all channels have to grow, plus it's not like it's entertainment or comedy...or cats. Don't worry, channels like this will grow, but it's not about the quantity of your followers, it's the quality of your followers. So, Ducky is alright...we're here aren't we?
I'm a beginner to Blender and wasn't able to follow this because after updating to 2.8 I realized my settings were way different than you and I had no clue how to change them :(
Awesome tutorial. Short, well explained AND stunning result. Even as a almost total beginner i could follow this. A few steps were a bit fast but no biggie. I understand this is a tutorial one should watch after learning the basics but i could not help myslef. I had to try :D
For all the ppl who have the bend issue where it goes like an oval instead of a circle try this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wVwlNB0RrU0.html
Ctrl and the plus sine on the number pad (above the enter button) if you dont have a number pad you can go into Edit > Preferences > Keymap and enter "select more" into the search bar. In the search results, find the section "Mesh" and change the first entry to cmd + "+" credit to @roland681
I love how straight and to the point your videos are. So many people go on and on about pointless information but yours is nothing but the good stuff! Thank you
Hi ducky, I hope you saw that you can move my screencast keys addon now to the different locations on the screen. If you have some suggestions for improvement just add these as issues to the github.
I used the earlier version blender 2.8 , the simple deform of bend doesn't work like a circle,I've tried x y z axis also the same,I just tried the latest version of blender 2.8,It succeeded miraculously.i don't know why.but awesome work, thank you!
And again a nice one tutorial! Damn you are currently my favourite RU-vid channel with tutorials for blender! I remember getting interested in blender with the version 2.64 but after some short time I lost interest in blender and moved on with my life. But as I found one of your tutorials my interest and curiosity for blender got revived and whenever I have some time after work ...I recreate some of your tutorials in Blender 2.8 beta and I can’t stop smiling and being happy with the progress I’m making with your help in blender. Thank you again!
Great channel. Just subbed. The tool you use, showing mouse and keystrokes, helps a LOT for good understanding. What is the name of the app? Thx. in advance.
HELP NEEDED. My lighting isn't coming the same at all. + my bottom plane is not showing the color I am adding from hex. Even after I duplicate the back plane it still comes up as white! (using v 2.90.1)
he blabbers on and on at a rapid rate - if you do not already know how it works, he will lose you very soon. Just zip-zap-this-that, no explanation where and what. Not a good start if you are trying to find out how to do it.
also would like to know what settings you make in order to get uncompressed quality of pictures and videos on your Instagram ? thanks in advance. goodluck for 10k subs real soon
How are you even getting screencast keys. It's no longer available that I know of and I can no longer find a working addon for it? BTW, nice easy tutorial and it looks really neat.
For those who are trying to do the part where he presses "ctrl numpad +", in other devices like a laptop or using a keyboard with no numpads, then in edit mode itself click on the select button top right and under "select more or less" - click "more". well u gotta do it a few times, a lot actually to get his result but, well idk any other way to make it on point.
just for the record. Good tutorial, but when I rendered it it took 17 minutes so I testested the school test render and it was estimated 25 minutes so seems that at least in this beta version it can't fully utilize my gpu yet. The school takes only little bit over 4 minutes in blender 2.79b so that's how I know.
At 3:23 you somehow selected faces by spreading the selection. I tried but Ctrl + is doing something else... Can you spell it for me, ...well you see I am stupid sometimes :)
@@deeboinit9512 Yes it is solved: Ctrl and "+" on the NUMERIC keyboard on the right! I am not an accountant and never used the numeric keyboard but with Blender I am starting to :)
@@simonlegrand9577 the + has to be on numpad. if you dont have a numpad, you can go to preferences>input, and check the box for "emulate numpad". then you can use your numbers row
@@themicrowavedave192 blender has a way to emulate numpad because few laptops have them. If you go into Preferences > Input there is an option to emulate numpad. I think the regular number keys & plus will work then.
I didn't have a number pad either. The way around this is going to edit>preferences>input>(check emulate numpad). Then it should work without the number pad.
In 2.91 bend just dont work.. What I am doing wrong? I get a circle by bending the twisted column, but its streched somehow, so its more like an ellipse with biig gaps. By the way: there should be a second way to form such a circle: curve modifier. There is a problem too: i don't get a circle-form from the array but its fitted to the curve like a secante.. Thanks! Add: 45 Degree bending looks like 90 Degree! Add: this single plates dont rotate, they are just moved relative to each other..
I found the solution!!! I think this is the bug of blender. First time I just like you, there is the same problem. Then I bend the object first, and then twist it, but the object weird, so I redo again just like the video, twist and twist, I do not use the copy twist. Then it worked! I suggest You try not copy the twist, just hand set it, and try other process to make it. Just like, twist, twist, bend; or bend, twist, twist; or twist, copy twist, bend. Hope this can help you.
Your channel is so awesome, and its amazing how you come up with new ideas so frequently. You seem to have a few simple additions in the thumbnail though. It would be great if you could include them in the tutorial as well, they look so nice!
My whole scene looks comparably very dull. Like the surfaces of the objects are very flat in tone, compared to yours which has a lot of life to it. EDIT: fixed this by changing the render engine from Eevee to Cycles. It now looks really nice like Ducky's.
Doing the same operations, I don't get a solid circular pile of bricks but an elliptic one? The problem only appears in the "bend" modifier, though I did exactly the same over and over again. I tried to add an origin but it didn't change anything. Great tutorial though.
I did everything it looked pretty dope but now when I render it just focuses in 1 specific area, not even an object just a random area. And the camera is correct. Please help how do I fix this?
So now we actually need to add the CUBE! lol I'm in 2.79b. Cube is here to stay )) - Also if you hit -0.200 in array offset, you get a reaaaally long stair way to heavens
Hey Ducky 3D!!! I enjoyed the tutorial. The twist part was tricky at first, but then I got it. I literally just created my channel a few days so I can see my work grow and evolve. Anyways, you can check out my version if you would like. BTW, I put a credit link to this video in the description. Have a good day. Thanks!
your chanel and tutorials really deserves everyting, you are the best! i love all your videos, they really helpul since i still cant go to a 3D school it helps me à lot thank you!
