Excellent video! a lot of effort put into simulating all of the examples and explaining each one. RU-vid algorithm brought me here, hope it brings a lot more people! Keep it up!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm working on a project where I chose to use very specific soft body physics for some objects but all everyone seems to want to make and demonstrate making are jello cubes and that isn't what I am trying to make! So, I came here to figure out what each setting did to hopefully have a better chance of achieving my goal. And, that is why I physically took notes so that I can quickly refer to this information! Again, thank you!
Hi, great job on your first video. I liked the format of this video running through all the options with visuals showing their effect (and combined effects). My feedback would be to slow down a little speaking as I found I had to slow the video down to 0.75x to digest the visuals while listening to you. Thanks.
Hi, awesome video. Very explanatory. I really need some more info on the "goal" part. Trying to make a car crash animation by following Albin Merle's tutorial but struggling with the soft body settings. Could you please make a detailed video about goal and plastic deformation? Thank you.
OK, OK.. This is great. But what we all want to know is what settings to set for the butt, in order for it to jiggle appropriately in our walk cycle animation.
Great video! Keep up the good work. I was wondering if soft body can be used to create a memory foam effect. Right now all simulations look like Jell-O
i think everyone knows what is a softbody because everyone plays beamng, right guys? Thanks for the video btw, i was actually wondering how to get the good settings on it...
I dunno man, my mesh keeps falling flat into the plane, sometimes it retains a little bit of form, as if it were a thick plastic baloon deflated, but that's it. How would one make a noncube softbody that doesn't completely lose it's form on crash?
If somebody tried there could be ultra realistic games and animation using the soft body physics since instead of inserting an animation you can put that mechanic and it will work automatically during all the game. The problems I see with this are the increase in CPU requirements to make it work and probably make a game would take longer.
