_I tries to do this but my orbs formed a union and demanded more money and a shorter work week_ _When I told them I don't have the money, they went outside and declared my own home their territory of ORB and demanded 10 dollars from me for each orb and new cloths and food, because they let some other orbs that weren't working in and they stole all their food and left._ I like the collision idea, I see the possibilities. Ty for the video. Also the use of the direction of the camera to control the visibility of the emission object, I saw that somewhere before, but this time I rralized how to use that too for my short film. (Machinima) Stay safe.

To make it look like they are Floating over the terrain, duplicate the terrain and move it above the landscape and flatten it on the Z axis a bit. Move the Empty to the duplicate as well. Make the duplicate so it does not Render.

Is it possible to make them more physically accurate? Like mixing soft bodies and the crowd like simulation.

Love your videos. I've upgraded to 3.3 recently and this is another great tutorial. I've got something strange going on. It's happened before but I don't remember how to fix it. In the workspace, I zoom in with the camera view to get the shot I want. But when I render the image, it's a zoomed-out version. Does anyone know how to fix that?

I hace successfully followed your step by step tutorial "Terrain Following Orbs" and it has been rendering for over 24 hours straight,.,.IS THAT NORMAL?,.

I just love the comments that some do leave, by the way, awesome tutorial...for the ones that know nothing about graphics and animation, and are complaining about rendering time...really?...its time to upgrade your computer or get off of the laptop...it always amazes me how so many people waist everyones time posting negative comments...yes, blender is a awesome product, yes, it takes a fast desktop so that you dont get iritated, and yes, its great to create animations for using in other projects...but really? Save it until you really are interested in it...thank you

The first time I saw dust orbs in a picture I took with my digital camera I was in the oldest Catholic Cathedral in Las Angeles, CA. in 1995. They were everywhere floating in mid air. The Building was under construction and that's the reason for the orbs or Dust Particles. One of the guys I worked with refused to go back into the church once I showed him the picture. We happened to be working on the outside so he stayed on working their but once in a while I would tell him I could see them floating over his head and he would run from the building as if something was chasing him. Somehow I have lost the photo's, one actually had the sarcophagus that had parts of the Saint buried under the Pulpit. It can't be a Cathedral without parts of a Saint buried in it. Sorry I can't remember the name of the Saint they used in that Cathedral or the name of the Church. Google it if you are interested. Thanks for the video I'm going to see if I can replicate the picture with floating orbs. The Cathedral of Saint Vibiana.
