I've never been so enamored with a group of people this much. I mean, just look at each one of them. Every person involved in this has something unique, it's not just passion for what they do, it's something more. It's in their eyes. Blender is a gift to mankind. From the heart of it's brighest kind.

A very emotional chapter, Anja is a very important part of Blender, she was part of it even before it became opensource. It's curious to see how much the Blender Institute/Studio has changed over the years. At the beginning the Blender Institute seemed (at least it seemed to me) a place where a group of friends got together to do cool stuff and have a good time, that carefree atmosphere attracted me a lot and I wished someday I could work in a place like that. Now things have become more serious, Blender is bigger, and the studio looks like a proper company, but I think it hasn't lost its essence at all, it's still a place where I would love to work.😁 ...although it will probably never happen xD

Happy 10 years work anniversary Pablo, & a well earned trophy! I hope you become a board member too, as you are pretty wise to all things Blender, & would provide great input going forwards =D

I think open source will be always better in the long term, because the comunity helps with amazing ideas and is fully behind the changes. Thats why Blender will stay and grow out other softwares, which are just for the industry

This is amazing to see. Thank you Ton for being our benevolent blender dictator. You've been a strong and steady captain. Welcome Francesco and crew! I have to point out to, this is a real masterclass in the smooth transfer of power and succession. Seriously this should be studied, because so many leaders through history have got this wrong. Ton, knowing he, could not do this forever started entrusting Francesco with more and more responsibilities for training. Then took time to explain and codify his vision of what Blender was and what blender meant so Francesco could have the best chance of keeping the course and so the crew and the community could help. Then a board of advisors was formed and finally power handed over. Simply amazing.

Very happy for Francesco and for the Blender studio. You are truly an example of professional and human development. Keep up the good work !

The transition from Cinema 4D to Blender is very smooth. I learned Blender in just 18 hours, even though I frequently used Cinema 4D for 13 years. Initially, I was afraid of learning Blender because I thought the learning curve would be steep. But here I am, applying all my Cinema 4D experience to mastering Blender. Honestly, everyone should learn blender.♥♥♥♥
