*I have a lot of questions.* I rigged all my characters with AUTO RIG PRO. The characters have shape keys to go with the elevation of the shoes (no shoes, boots, high heels etc). I would like to attach and remove the shoes with the rig of the character and animate them. I don't want to make separate animations for different shoes. It's like how they do in video games where you can customize your character and give them different clothes and shoes How do I achieve this? Please. I need help.
been using blender since blender foundation was (not a number) netherland and blender features was not fully free at the time, good thing they made everything free still using blender 2.79b
The node changes are exhilarating! But there's still a looong way to go. Some critics for the video: You guys should formally and clearly define what the hell you mean by "converting vectors to a rotation". A rotation isn't as unequivocal as a number or a vector or a matrix, so it is confusing to use it in laguage as if it were. 7:40 and why don't you make the nodes on the left actually match what happens on the right? I don't see any node causing Suzanne to be animated. It makes it way harder to decipher what the new node does. And Blender's documentation is notoriously vague in its explanations, as if it were afraid of getting too long. The documentation can start simple, but also should include precise and exhaustive description and examples. It shouldn't be afraid of using math as a secondary extra layer of detail either!
Really amazing on the EEVEE upgrade, o7 Bloom tho, and Cycles feels rushed, HDRIs works weird with Cycles now and encountered a huge bug, same for shader compilation, a lot slower and tought blender crashed

I am sure it is very clever. And to practically every single user utterly useless. Not complaining you make features the few pros want, or can use, but some more attention and development for the beginner levels and proper modelling not horrid nodes would be nice.
I promise blender foundation I will use blender to create animation for films and series and with the money from the box office I will love it for blender foundation

I've been able to use 4.2 for quite some time on Omniverse. I thought it was available before. Blender... I've migrated from 3ds Max one year ago. Haven't looked back since then.
To this day Blender still doesn't have dedicated re-topology tools, how can The Blender Foundation ever be expected to be taken seriously when such a simple but crucial tool-set is still missing. Yes, there are third-party community plug-ins, and yes there are lots of DIY ways to retopo in Blender, but it still lacks so many basic tools after such a long time and so much funding.
Consider adding this as a trailer on Steam? The last reel posted there has Blender 2.7 and 2.8 alpha clips in it and the latter's mixture of UI looks cursed lol
