This looks so beautiful! How do you get it to look so smooth? I've tried this and because the gelly rolls release so much ink I find the ink on the page is eventually very thick and gluggy.

I find some gel pens can do that, but these Sakura Gelly Rolls lay really well 💕

I’ve been able to blend and even mix colors on the go with just the pens themselves. I’ve never used the that blending pen before, so I’ll have to look into to. Is it just another alcohol based blender? If so then I wonder if other blending markers would do just as well 🤔

Loved the idea I just would have really loved a closer shot of what you were doing. We couldn’t really see what was happening on a cell phone maybe a computer or iPad can be seen better, I’ll check that out and see but I did like it besides the far away shot

I guess these are water-reactive pens. Do they ball some of the paper?

If you use less water they do not ball the paper :) They are not specifically water reactive pens, these are simple gel pens from Sakura Gelly Roll

yes, depending on how much water you use. if you want an extended gradient i would suggest just starting with watercolor paper to compensate the extra water needed
