Received an e-mail from Tony G suggesting we meet up during half term week to catch up on things and doo some train spotting. After sorting out a suitable day I drove to Tony's and then we set off to revisit Bletchley & Mitlon Keynes,
The Bedford to Bletchley line saw as much freight today as the 230's shuttling back and forth, with 66727 reversing out the siding that serves the aggregate plant and making its way along the line. Shortly after that a double headed car train puled into platform 6 to do a crew change before continuing on its journey.
Lots off 66's hauling boxes, mixed with an 88, 70, and double headed 90's. An excellent bit of continuity with two 66's passing in front of the camera, with one driver really giving the horn a work out (if the driver finds this video, cheer mate !)
We concluded the day shortly after seeing 47749 drag a pristine 720115 through we called it a day. As we were driving home I glanced a grey loco with some JNA wagons heading towards Bletchley on the line form Bedford. It looked like a 56. Once I got home I was able to find out if my hunch was right, and it was, with 56091 in charge of some empty JNA's - Oh well, we shouldn't grumble.....
Thanks Tony for suggesting the get together. I enjoyed the day a lot, but I'm sure I'm going to suffer in the morning after standing for so long !!

Great video Malcolm, I see you had problems with the wind like I did yesterday, but the quality of your footage was A1. Regards Mike.

Cheers Mike. I have a small issue with the camera dropping focus at times, but it seems to have given the video a unique feel. Yes the wind did give a few problems. Tony almost lost his camera as a gust blew it over. Just lucky Tony was close to grab the tripod as it arced over !

It was a good day, and I'm not bothered that you were in shot... adds to a record of the day.
