An excellent evening spent at the always amazing station of Blecthley on the West Coast Mainline and the Marston Vale Line where we see plenty of services from London Northwestern Railway, Southern, Virgin Trains and freight from Freightliner, DB Cargo UK and GBRF.
Bletchley was built in 1846 by the London and Birmingham Railway once the line was completed from London Euston to Denbigh Hall which was located roughly 1 mile north of Bletchley station. This was at first considered a major station due to the fact that Milton Kenyes hadn't been built let alone even thought of yet. Once Milton Keynes had been constructed the importance of Bletchley really fell away especially when the East - West route had been downgraded. This isn't to be confused with the new East - West rail link that is currently being constructed from Oxford to Cambridge. Milton Kenyes railway station was given intercity importance in 1982.
I'm not to sure what my next station is going to be so it's going to have a be a surprise for when it gets filmed and eventually uploaded.
You can now find me on Facebook through the group Tornado922, there you will find regular updates, videos and photos from all of my goings on throughout 2018.

Yet another great video. It is great to see the different stations around the uk and with the history of the stations makes it even more interesting. TTPF

Thanks very much mate I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) I'm really enjoying adding the historical facts about the stations into my videos as it not only gives everyone who watches this a better understanding of the station but it also increases my very limited knowledge

I like doing the transitional shots when the opportunities present themselves, in a few months time the nights will be the perfect length for me to do some more evening filming without having the nights draw in on me.

I looked on Google maps, there's a line that goes off to Aylesbury although I don't know if it's still used, probably by occasional freight. It connects up with the Marston Vale line, not the WCML
@Tornado922
@Tornado922 5 лет назад
There is a line that goes off and via Quainton which is used by occasional freight trains. But it doesn't go onto the MVL

I have to say in terms of variety the WCML has the best to offer closely followed by the ECML. I hope that you get the chances to visit the WCML when you get the opportunities

150 109 has wmr on the side because it also operates Birmingham New Str to Hereford
@Tornado922
@Tornado922 6 лет назад
I know they change the 150's on their diagrams depending on their availability, I noticed there was a 150 in the sidings at Bletchley, soon to be replaced by the class 230's in a few weeks time. I purely mentioned it because the services that operate on the Marston Vale Line come under the category of London Northwestern Railway.

At this rate you'll revive the BBC single-handed (No Pun). Haha, "Something or other.." Classic! A lift for each platform, very nice. Overall, a nice Station, Beautiful Sky and Traffic for sure. I was hoping to see some Auto Cargo what a treat! Great work, pure feature ep. B.P.
@Tornado922
@Tornado922 6 лет назад
If I can get that back up and running I'll be very impressed hahaha, I do enjoy coming to this station it doesn't get much coverage from over RU-vidrs which is a shame because it is a great station and does give off some great views of the line depending on what part of the station you go to. I haven't seen a car loaded train on the WCML since I was in Stafford last January. I prefer to look at the open wagons instead of the concealed ones. I'm glad you enjoyed watching this and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the films that I produce :)
@blkpig6664
@blkpig6664 6 лет назад
Make a pitch, catch a budget and cover the U.K. then beyond. Find you filming from somewhere in Nicaragua. The Station had an amazing set of traffic great variety. Yea, the open wagons let you know which shady area is getting all the transits Haha! Anyway sure, still watching just at a slower rate sometimes two in a row, but this one was nice while eating breakfast. Thanks again! B.P.

If I ever had the chance to do a bbc series about trains around the world I would happily take it up, it would be such an incredible experience. I've always had a soft spot for freight trains, I love the logistics that go into it as well as the cargo that they carry. Even more so when it's something different like a car train, fuel or even coal. If I get the chances to then I usually try and get 2 films done a week but sometimes I only have the time to get one out. Even so I try and get them all to a good enough length so I can catch a much greater variety of traffic. I'm still undecided as to which station or track side location I'm going to go to.

Logistics, Infrastructure Design/Planning as well as Cargo of all types, Human included. Quality over quantity, no worries. Well you have a great sense of timing as per station, you know my likes (Habit) but the one you did by the coast was nice. The name I don't recall, but you were posted right on the edge of a walkway, then some small bridge pathway? A Northern Station I think.. But what do I know. Ey! If you catch a deal I watch for sure, you pretty much do a bit a travel (Vaca'n'all) might have to be about all Transport maybes? B.P.

If I can somehow convince the BBC to fund a new travel programme about the railways of the world I would take it up instantaneously, start off by covering the UK before moving into Europe, then Asia, then Siberia, China/Japan before ending up in America. I would love the chance to do something like that. Make it last several series. The station that I was at on the coast was Dawlish on the Riveria Line, a branch of the Great Western Mainline. I'll be sure to go back there sometime this year I really loved it there.

They continue towards London then travel via the North London Line before joining the GEML at Stratford, from there they then carry on down to Felixstowe

So every london midland trains is now apporating london North Western railways
@Tornado922
@Tornado922 6 лет назад
Yes London Midland now operates under 2 banners, the services that operate along the WCML from London Euston are running as London Northwestern Railway, the services that fell under the London Midland City trains are now known as West Midlands Railway
