Too much hating on the EDT! I have all three of them; and honestly, the EDT has the best projection and longevity of the three. 🤷 The Parfum has the best opening; but the dry down is no better than the EDP.

I bought the parfum first when i knew little about fragrances and didn’t like it too much. Got EDT couple months later and fell in love with it. Got EDP half year later and liked it so much better it became my all time till now.

The edt is what made me fall in love with BDC. I love all of them quite frankly but the edp and parfum are much deeper and richer and are more versatile.

EDP is a year-round scent for me. I use Parum for special occasions. EDP is perfectly balanced. Parfum is on the heavy side.

I agree here. I sprayed only 2 sprays of the parfum and my wife said good lord did you use the whole bottle of cologne. I said no 2 sprays. Your choking the whole room out. I said does it stink? She said no but it's overpowering

I love the light/ Fresh sent of the original. So easy to wear, and perfect for anytime, casual use. The EDP and Parfum I would use for special occasions (more formal). Just my preference

After getting a sample of EDT and EDP, a year ago, watching your video just now, as well as reading some comments, I pulled the cord and just now ordered the Parfum from the Chanel website. I also wanted to get the EDP, but both of them were a bit more than I wanted to spend. I also thought about layering an EDT with a Parfum, or an EDP but never heard anything about how that would work out until I read some comments here about it, and that it works well, so I might eventually try that. The character is amped up in the edp and parfum. That unique bleu de chanel character is what she is talking about. It's more deep in the others where It's lighter in the edt.

Monika could you answer a question or two regarding your view of the EDT? Have you always held this dislike of it, or are you basing that on the fact it's purportedly been reformulated from its former glory? The EDT WAS what made BDC what it is, not just the fact that it's Chanel. Chanels made some trash as well occasionally, as they all do, or at the very least have had some that weren't a blowout success, but I digress, the EDT is still very successful but from a woman and frag reviewers perspective do you just not like it at all? Or did you used to like it years prior and it has changed? Personally, I love the EDT and EDP but the Parfum is just too subdued and basic to me.... It doesn't have that sharp citrus hit backed by woods and that smells like money (not literally) like the eau de toilette does. The parfum seems like someone who wants to pull off the sharp dressed, wild, yet successful scent of the EDT but can't follow all the way through.

I agree 100%, the EDT is the only actual "bleu" scent of the 3. Maybe people are just jaded because of the popularity of this and it's imitators. But the EDT is my favorite.

Your point about how you use it is important…I have smelled all and have only the EDT. When I grab BDC, I want something fresh and easy to smell (car trips, meetings, and planes) and if/when someone asks, you can say it’s Chanel. For sweet and rich in colder months, there are way too many great scents available, for me to grab any Chanel.

I’m a YSL L’Homme and La Nuit De L’Homme kind of guy, but Bleu De Chanel EDT is the most high value fragrance in my collection. It’s a such a banger and longevity is great being a EDT. If I only have one fragrance it would hands be the EDT due to value, longevity, and being so well rounded.

EDT sims to be reformulated. My First Bottle, bought in late 2011 was very powerfull. Longevity was at least 10 h. Freshy but you could alsow smell woody base. Bottle from 2021 is some joke. You can smell fresh opening like before, but after 2 hours the scent starts to disappear. How could they screwed up such a elegant scent. EDT was amazing but any more. Shame on you CHANEL. EDP from 2014 is alsow little bit different than today’s. Yeah, or maybe I’m wrong.

I own the Parfum and I love how it just lingers and lingers all day. Your nose won’t get the full effect if you’re testing in store. Spray it on yourself and let it cook on your skin. Super versatile, put together, and so sexy! CEO vibes all the way or if you just want to own a meeting with that confidence!

I kid you not, but Blue de Chanel has somewhat of a magical effect when you are hosting meetings or presentations. You just cruise on them so well when you're wearing it. The parfum is a favourite, but edp is also has an nice fresher touch compared to the bolder touch of parfum. But both are amazing

THANK YOU MONIKA! I've never actually owned any BDC of all the things I've bought and when my wife finally gave it a try at our Ulta she loved it. My problem is I couldn't remember which version it was! When we went back the tester was gone so I was lost 😔. This helps a lot though. I'm tempted to just buy the EDT and EDP both in the 5oz because I loved them both. The parfum was just too smooth and subdued for me. Thanks again!

Sadly EDP and Parfum don't project very much, very close to the skin scents. The only Bleu with decent projection is the EDT.

I’ve only tried the EDT. I bought a bottle in 2015. I loved the scent. Performance was just average though. I just ordered the EDP directly from Chanel. I’m excited to try it. I know I will love it since I already love the original EDT scent. Maybe in the future I’ll try the Parfum too. I also have Platinum Egoist and Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême. They are all great fragrances.

I absolutely agree with you. Edt was one of the first blue fragrances, but nowadays there are a lot of alternatives, most of them are cheaper. IMO, if Edp is a nice cake, Parfum is the same cake covered with cream. And if you're over 40, it's definitely more suitable. Nice presentation, wonderful opinions, thanks.

To me, the Parfum is a different fragrance than the EDP. I have both, and must say the EDP is more versatile. Parfum only for more formal occasions, but only lasts 2-3 hrs for me.

I've had all versions and by far the parfum version is the best! I got so many compliments when I wore the parfum, the edp is ok and got half the compliments and doesn't last as long or isn't as strong as the parfum, Take my advice if you want the best version of bdc get the parfum!

EDT for me, it's in my opinion the Royal Crown of the Blue fragances, very elegant but at the same time pretty versatile, not cheap AT ALL. Meanwhile EDP or Parfum are pretty good, but they are just too solemn fragances to be called "blue"; in formal events I just prefer to use a different thing instead a "serious" version of Bleu de Chanel. The PARFURM IS BETTER. If the EDT and EDP are two dimensional then the PARFURM is three dimensional . The PARFURM is the only one that feels niche and has niche smell and quality . The EDT and EDP are borring and linear - very simple and not complex.

i bought the edt and only kept it for 3 uses. i sold it after. i have the edp and a few perfume samples. both of those are amazing, i prefer the perfume in the colder days tho

EDT all day, although not worth the money. There are better smelling fragrances for less expensive, eg ) dolce and gabbana pour homme. But is it a good fragrance, yes it is, very nice

I've read a 100 comments Edt = less depth,projects more , suits hot weather Edp = falls in the middle of the two Puf= more depth intensity , darker less projection . Fall/winter ???

For me, I prefer the EDT. All.the versions are great but I love the freshness of the EDT. It is great for the spring and summer. I prefer grabbing Eros Flame and Spicebomb Extreme for the colder weather.

The edp has the best of both fresh and dense I get about 6 hrs but still lingers on clothes after and I put parfume Leyton on to blend omg in heaven lol xx

I would say either get the Parfum or the EDT. The EDP is neither here nor there entirely despite a strong attempt to make it a strong mid space player.
