I'm excited to be back broadcasting live with a blind Scotch Whisky battle featuring some buzz worthy blends. Recently I have reviewed the Maclean's Nose Blended Scotch Whisky from Ardnamurchan/Adelphi, the Thompson Bros SRV5 8 Year old Blended Malt as well as the Thompson Bros TB/BSW 6 Year Old Blended Scotch. All of these whiskies were really enjoyable, but I wanted to see if I could better determine which of these I enjoy the most.
I decided a blind whisky challenge would be the best way to do so. Because I am reasonably familiar with these whiskies I also wanted to throw in a few other Blended Malts and Blended Scotch Whiskies to throw me off the trail of the others. These include a whisky I haven't had before called Dumbarton Rock Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from the independent bottler Dram Mor, Naked Malt Blended Malt from Edrington, and the St. Thomas 32 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Overall that's 6 Blended Malt/Scotch Whiskies all duking it out in the Glencairn's to determine who'll come out on top.
