Why are more and more people with physical challenges, senior citizens, young women, and even minor children being subjected to unlawful detainment, false charges, and even violent physical assault often to the point of serious injury or even negligent death, often followed by coverup, denial, and in some rare cases even retaliation?
Honestly though, do you really think that "cop card" would have helped in this situation? They clearly didn't give a crap about the law or his rights. I don't think its a matter of the cops not understanding the guy's rights in this situation. I think that in this situation the cops knew what they were doing, and they didn't care because they think they are untouchable.
Similar case in Lancaster County except the 61 yr old victim actually was near blind,Partially Disabled VET using a White Stick was Tasered in the back whilst walking down a Main St in 2019,Arrested and charged with Resisting and Obstruction.When the cops realised they had assaulted a disabled man instead of apologizing they decided to cover up their crime(s) abetted by their superiors.A Lawsuit was began after the charges were eventually dropped the VET received recently a payout of $340.000+share of two cops pension+ALL his legal costs.Another case pending from Dec2021 a VET returned home to find a SWAT Team in his yard and his Front Door CCTV Camera hanging by its cable he was then assaulted,handcuffed taken to jail later released he discovered SWAT were at the wrong address and had riflebutted his CCTV Camera, again this is Lancaster and new arresting and jailing a farmer for using Ultrasound without due process.USA IS NOW A POLICE STATE!!!!!

She knew it wasn't a gun and the proof is when he reached and pulled out his cane. If for one minute any reasonable person thought he had a gun, there's no way he wouldn't have been shot dead. They can explain this to any Judge and show the footage of the officer just standing there while he reached for a GUN/Stick. She should've been stepping back and pulling her firearm. A veteran with a walking stick...shows them the walking stick and gets arrested...these individual cops need to be off the force. All ego, no service to the community. But not all cops are jackboot thugs/pigs. I vehemently disagree with this broad paintbrush. There are absolutely good cops who protect people - what percentage of police contacts end in a violation of rights? out of millions of contacts, probably not that many. That doesn't excuse, though, any unlawful behavior on the behalf of law "enforcement" officers who violate people's rights. It's simply important to be clear-sighted here about the role of police in our communities, which is needed. But these videos serve as demonstration of how cops can abuse power. That's why a system of checks and balances is needed. Unfortunately in some jurisdictions, this check on power is totally corrupt. You need an independent civilian review board that reports to the Attorney General.
