If I played turn 1 Sol Ring -> Arcane Signet -> Land Tax + a commander who lets me play my top card for unquantifiable card advantage, my pod would subject me to a witch trial.

Have you ever considered playing tasunari toad rider as a mutate commander? Might be a fun way to play enchantments and you can go a little bit more wide it seems

I really wanna know why John was full send on Arca, even after Mat's really big combat turn.

John should have been more abusive with the iso scepter, and just kill permanents every chance he could, especially Nalia. Main example is the end step where he war roomed instead. Cyc rift is fine but always better to get cards in the graveyard/command zone.

Have you ever considered the aftermath Niv Mizzet for mutate over Ramos? His protection is better and he can convert extra ramp.

Blind Seer seems pretty cool honestly, I’d thought about making a deck for it but didn’t know if there was enough support for it

Has the Ramos deck even gotten Ramos to the table in any video it's been in? I'm always excited to see it and then it does nothing.

Not leveraging hydroblasts ability to destroy a red permanent was the mistake. In the video you can see arca passing the turn and hydroblast was not used (2 mana was up). It should have killed mats commander. The second time was using war room instead of hydroblast to kill mats commander (this would have forced commander tax buying John an additional turn) It was correct to kill arca, but the misuse of the hydroblast killing machine removing threats from mats side would have leveled things out and really win John the game. I know ppl make mistakes but the first time John didn't utilize it and I'm just "what??"

To those saying John's threat assessment was poor, keep in mind that, as mentioned, Arca had won the previous game with a combo win. It is highly likely that John simply wanted to take Arca out on principal regardless of whether he would lose or not. If anything, Blind Seer + Hydroblast could've been used more to shrink Matt's board state and secure a better position.

What a surprise that the person who played sol ring, arcane signet and land tax on turn one was the winner. 🙄

You could have played ramos since there were no globals or removals. You would have had a lot of counters from all those growth spirals... The deck is fine, you just dont know how to pilot it, in my opinion.
