I knew 9 of the 10 but could only name 8. Sorry Baby Doc, I must’ve missed that one. Laurent will be super impressed with you guys last answer though 😆
Yeah how could they not figure out Airwave, he’s one of the legends still going at it and true to it’s roots. He does have his own signature sound. Belgian Trance at its finest🇧🇪
One of my all-time favs. ( I'd recommend to check out the Paul Sawyer mix from 2021. It isn't bad. I mean it didn't ruin the original like other takes do from the 2000's. )
If we sent a playlist of these right out beyond our solar system, I think we'd have alien beings contacting us back pretty soon asking how they can get on the guest list..
Fun Fact, I licensed Art Of Trance - Deeper than deep / Cambodia and Union Jack - Two Full….for my label right with the original release and released it in Germany. Didn’t do pretty well. www.discogs.com/Art-Of-Trance-Deeper-Than-Deep/release/144584 www.discogs.com/The-Art-Of-Trance-Cambodia/release/131732 www.discogs.com/Union-Jack-Two-Full-Moons-And-A-Trout-Lollypop-Man-/release/85582
Hard Trance 1998-2008 next please! Hennes & Cold, Derb, ASYS, Scot Project, Bytes Brothers, Bas & Ram, Ace Da Brain, Ultraform, DJ Wag, Russenmafia, JK Walker... the list goes on! :D
Love these 90s trance episodes. So much great memories and tracks, you feel that they were made with love for the club culture and not for selling records. Hope there is more to come.
Finally. Didn't relate much to the UK garage and Hardcore one, but my taste lies in techno and old school trance. There better be some gems of old school Goa and Psy trance in there, the 90's were the golden age for those trance subgenres. Keep it up Telekom Beats, love you, please stay safe and do another techno one as soon as possible.
Got them all within a couple of seconds! Great selection of classic trance! I got to watch Quench play Dreams the first time ever live in Melbourne back in 93, I will never forget it! This is the sound of Melbourne in the mid 90s if you threw some Cosmic Baby, Thorsten Fenslau, Kid Paul, and Resistance D in the mix!
@@SuperstitionRecords Your label ruled the Melbourne scene for years! I was actually spinning Velocity - Lust (original and the remixes), Basic Gravity - Rajah (what an epic track!), LSG - Odyssey, and Paragliders - Paraglide (Humate remix) yesterday and thinking current trance doesn't even come close to the quality of that stuff! It is absolutely amazing! ❤️
@@atmosphereoasis9564 I'm not denying his stuff is good, its the pioneer part that isn't right. His first single was 96 - 97, trance was well mature by then
Anybody wondering, Virus is the collab between Paul Oakenfold & Steve Osborne. Listened to all the remixes but the Man With No Name remix sounds the best!
At last, my favourite TRANCE edition is out. I'm waiting for these videos like nothing else on RU-vid! I won't spoil any track names below. I've got 7,0 points, can't believe I've outdone these guys!! \o/ Track #1 - 0,5 (got the artist but not the title; Track #2 - 1 point Track #3 - 0 (guessed the label though, but it doesn't count) Track #4 - 1 (guessed the label as well) Track #5 - 0 Track #6 - 0,5 (guessed the remixer's name) Track #7 - 1 Track #8 - 1 Track #9 - 1 Track #10 - 1
@@ElectronicBeatsTV btw the round 9 track is "Taucher Remix", as there was no "original mix" on the vinyl, except "alternative" and "essential" mixes, which aren't in the video. Anyways keep up the great videos, love your channel!
I like hearing the contrast between the early stuff and some of the ones at the end of the 90s. you can almost hear the ground being smashed on the early ones. the early stuff asked more questions. the newer stuff tries to give us the answers
Trance wasn't really my thing but I do enjoy a classic once in a while. Something like Paraglide by Paragliders which still sounds epic. I only knew the Eye Q one from this Blind Test.
The jungle and UKG ones have been the funnest and most interesting so far but it’s always cool to hear different genres being represented, keep up the amazing work!
My most successful Blind Test, Trance was my intro into Electronic Music and even though it faded by the late 90's for Techno it clearly was a special time, even in Melbourne Australia
I got the L Vee and Orange Theme, and Moorman, but that's about it. I didn't start spinning trance until 1999, so some of those early tracks I only heard later in compilations. We were so cheated here in the states when it came to early trance, practically no one was playing it and so the exposure was next to nothing. Love watching these guys, though. I always wondered what Kai Tracid looked like.
have a look into some stuff my man freddy fresh did in the early 90s - 'return to phantazia' is a prototrance anthem coming straight outta minnesota...
Quench - Dreams - > out of this world. From beginning to end. PA add. and extra +20%. Feel the acoustic waves flooding you. Atemporal. Nice trance tracks all of them.
Please note that this video is not filmed in real time. It’s edited to create some tension so that you in front of the screen can guess as well. It doesn’t say anything about how fast the participants recognised the track etc.
DAMN!!!!! Quench! DREAMS…. Oh the emotion and memories just came Russian in…… then vicious circles! Keoki’s second JDJ never left my CD player for months! All these are so good and I have so many memories to so many! Fuxkin Oramge theme love it!
So many awesome tracks and amazingly, I knew most of them. Quench's Dreams is one of my favourites and I'm thinking that the version one of them was thinking of was Miss Shiva's remix which was truly epic!
I recently dug through my minimal techno records from the 2004-2006 area. Man this was awkward. These trance tracks here sound so timeless compared to the click clack tracks from 15 years ago. Quench - Dreams is still unreached.
Many people didn't like minimal and progressive house at the time. Dutch trance was too cheesy... the end of a huge clubscene, labels bankrupt due to piracy,...
@@TonyOldskool I feel you on that like whenever I go see one of my favorite DJs here in San Francisco like Doc Martin or DJ Harvey it definitely inspires me
I certainly wouldn't mind another 90s trance episode, or even '00s, hard trance, progressive etc, I know some people look down on trance as a whole for going somewhat 'commercial' by that point but I think it's no less worthy of respect as a genre.
Some great tracks in this selection! Can‘t believe I only scored 5.5 - really have too many records it seems that I got the names mixed up 😂 And the BD/Dentist tune immediately went into my wantlist 👌
