Back then buttons were electromechanical contraptions instead of the digital buttons today. You had to give them a good solid push to make them latch in place.

8:44 That VW bug was in the mall parking lot earlier in the episode. 7:59 That 1969 Mustang was in the show earlier too, right after John gets shot and Michael is chasing the Porsche. Recycling cars

Herbie was a semi-regular. Check out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eQSV73NUUL8.html You see Herbie parked with no driver inside at 2:46 as Michael and KITT take off in high speed pursuit of a Porsche, then at 2:48 you see the Porsche going around Herbie who got out of the parking lot and ahead of the Porsche in 2 seconds.

The annoying thing about this and I noticed a long time ago was the weird long pauses. I later realised these were for advertisement breaks and the cut to a different type of scene makes this more and more obvious. Completely edited to have them in fixed spots. One day, I will count them and I'll find out how many there would have been. In the U.K. the place for breaks was usually different.

I think someone did a replica of k.i.t.t and said that the reason why their replica steering wheel is uncomfortable is because their done wrong, and also most people forget about the front tow bar, I think the reason why you often saw the tow bar is due to the producers being lazy and would just leave the bar on between shots.

I noticed the VW bug, that looks similar to Herbie, at 8:50 was also in the parking lot of the shooting. I think this is one of the few times I've noticed the same cars in different shots on here. I mean accidentally
