Current "blink" shouldnt touch toms songs. if its mark and toms song then thats different, but not toms song. travis said the door is always open for tom to come back, and mark hasnt said anything nice about tom. plus travis might being doing boxcar racer again, which caused a big rift in the band, so my prediction is tom gets back, mark wont be happy, and probably leave or something, or it causes a rift. what do you do when one band member wants someone to come back but another doesnt? recipe for disaster, no hate to matt, but its douchey for mark to touch these songs really.

Don't try to protect anyone here. That was total rubbish and it has nothing to do with sound check, they just can't do any better. Also the sound check has to go well as it's all about fine tuning but apparently you've never been to a sound check before.
wishing well is not over m+ms... all blink songs are good, old and new, skate punk or alternative. Its good that the new blink play a mix of their albums.

Is Matt even playing guitar in half this song? Look at 3:09. The chords are obviously changing if you listen, but his hands stay the same. I honestly think it's a backing track until the very end where he does that one riff.

Tom is a terrible singer. This is a soundcheck, he probably hardly knows the song. Watch any video of him at an actual concert singing one of the old songs. He sounds SO much better than Tom.
Yes it's not blink without Tom, what needs to happen is that , Mark needs to learn all the songs and sing them himself , that's what a true musician would do instead of letting this guy sing a single one.
Dude. You need a life. We get it, you don't like Skiba. Don't listen to the new stuff then. It's not hard to do. I saw them in July and they sounded fantastic. I'm sure Mark already knows all the songs. Skiba is part of the band now. Tom's never coming back. Get over it already whiner.
@@bdGongShow I don't hate Skiba, but Mark clearly made a bad choice in selecting him over literally anyone else who was better adapted to Tom's playing or singing style. Love Matt in Trio, but he is clearly out of his element in Blink. It's also why they won't ever cover some stuff from their old catalog, because Matt just can't play them that well; he can barely even play Carousel without simplifying it.
Long time Blink Fan here, new and old. Wishing Well is one of my favorite songs. This wasn't great but I hope they can get it together and play it live someday!

they still played m+ms I was there at both sound check mark asked what do you want to hear now and they were going to play the other one during the show
Killjoys Eternal its not better. Just different. Tom is Tom and cant be replaced. A Good singer who had a high and powerful vocal range could sing Blink songs 100 times better than mark or Tom... but its not the important thing... I dont want to listen to a perfect singer singing Blink songs perfect... I wanna listen to Mark and Tom singing... sometimes better sometimes worst... I saw Blink live in 2012 and they were at least correct. They are a good band to have a good time... a garage band, and Tom likes to sing weird and stupid things XD but it was cool.
So true lol I'll always prefer Tom even though he's not the best live singer. Dude knows how to put on a good show and I always enjoyed the little guitar things he would add to songs like I miss you.

I've come to like Matt but Tom made this song special, even Mark said this song was all Tom from the getgo, it has that AVAesque tone and the lyrics are pretty atmospheric. Great job for a sound check though!
So they let you film soundcheck?! Wanting advice on how to make barricade. I have the "Bored to Death" package and wanna be in front of Matt. How did you do it? Did you have to camp out? How early did you get there?
Adventures in Wonderland will email you with a time to meet at the venue and check you in. They lead everyone with VIP into soundcheck first which was a lot less than I had expected. They were cool with taking pics and video. Once soundcheck was finished they lead the lower level VIP back outside and took us to the photo area. They let the highest level go first (there were only 10 of these) and the Board to Death package in next(50-60 tops). They will do the same come time to go into the venue. Not all of these will have pit access and most will head to the merch first. Odds of getting barricade in front of Skiba... GOOD. ;) I hope this helps.

Also, if you could, I was wondering what merch they gave you. I'm deciding what size bag I should bring, as venues often have size restrictions. I don't think Bored to Death people get posters so I should be fine with a small bag, right?
You don't have to camp out at all. I rolled up 15 mins until time to check in because it was so unbearably hot that day. Definitely didn't want to meet the guys all hot and sweaty. We actually DID get an autographed poster with the Bored to Death package. It's small (maybe 14x20?). I took a couple of rubber bands with me JUST in case, but they did allow us to go back to the car/go get food before they let us in the show (We had about an hour). I opted to hop back in the line at the gate to be at the front of the VIP line for early entry, but then you have to worry about that poster the entire time. I brought a small messenger bag with a gallon zip lock bag I wrapped the poster in and tossed over the barricade to protect it. The second band ended up flinging water so it was a good thing I had it wrapped. In hindsight I'd go put the damn thing in the car. Haha. Anyways, the rest of the package... you get the cd, a Famous sticker, a (looked like a pencil bag) zip bag of the album artwork, a keychain, and limited edition hologram ticket.

I was worried because I'm going alone and didn't have anyone to hold the line so I could pee! Your idea of the zip lock and messenger bag are great. I'm definitely doing that! I've also heard that Bored to Death people get a photo with the band, too, but it wasn't part of the package so I was confused. Huge Alk3 fan and grew up on Blink so this is like a dream come true!!

Board to Death will get the merch I told you minus the poster and go in for soundcheck. They enter the venue according to the package prices in that order. I am SO sorry I told you wrong!
Everyone was a fan of the classic blink, & what has happened is a big change TOWARD the end of blinks career, granted they play until what, 60 at the most? It’s just not good for nostalgia but it’s true, it is what it is and you can support them now or you can simply not. From their self titled to now, Mark will be 60. This is nearing the end. Be happy. But if they play past 60, more to em 🤘🏾

This is a one of those songs that is strictly Tom. I like his other Tom stuff but this does nothing for me I'm not hating I was big Fan of California loved every single song except 2 Sober and No Future but everything else is my jam!
The irony in having Matt sing this song is a bit much. Good to see they're not giving up on the Neighbourhoods tracks though, because there were some good ones on that album.
Kind of feel for Matt. This is such a Tom song and as such, people have such an ingrained view that this is only meant for Tom. He does a decent job, but I feel like they shouldn't perform songs like these. Surely, there are a lot of Mark deeper cuts they could play.
Why does skiba sing so incredible for alkaline trio but like absolute garbage for blink. He's got an incredible voice but it's almost as if he can't sing when he sings blink

Anyone replacing Tom would have been disliked. Even Tom was rather disliked during the reunion because his voice (which was hardly great live to begin with). What's a fan to do? What's a band to do?

Matt sounds like he’s trying extremely hard not to forget the lyrics poor guy I’m not a massive fan of him or alkaline trio or him being in blink-182 but at least Matt gave wishing well a good go not his best vocals ever but not terrible either
What the F*CK MATT SKIBA destroying the original rhythm of the OLD SONGS OF BLINK 182 , they should have to record their own songs and do not try to sing the songs that TOM sang in few year
No disrespect but this sounds like some guy doing karaoke on a Friday night after a few beers... yeah he's hitting the right notes but the delivery isn't very convincing.
