Now, here's fun fact Before reforged was even released, us players on Classic had to deal with number of shit that was caused by patches leading up to merge, including: -Every time that patch hit, servers turned EXTREMELY unstable, it was borderline unplayable most of the time, for MONTHS -With every patch, roughly 70% of working maps were broken, map makers who were still working on them, either straight on dropped development of them, or they had to work for weeks if not months just to find workarounds and fixes for shit that was broken in them, while older maps that were no longer developed just died in the ditch -Around second patch, Blizzard removed option to use external files by the game, so all maps that worked based on modelpacks went to hell till some madmen discovered way to change up modelpacks roughly half year ago so that they work with current version, but again, even more mapmakers and maps lost -Connected to previous point, that also killed Gproxy, only way that warcraft had to reconnect to games that you lost connection to for whatever reason, what was EXTREMELY useful, especially during transition period. Not only that but there haven't been any official Blizzard response to our constant pleas to at least integrate Grpoxy in to the game package, meaning that game STILL don't have any re-connection method in reforged -Around same time, map editor was also locked from community, so we could no longer mod it, killing one of most widely used tool, the pathing tool, that allowed easier way of configurating pathing then to place 100000 invisible doodads all over place To conclude, warcraft community is shadow of what it formally was, every patch after first one caused us to lose more and more mapmakers, and its quite possible that if some of them returned to reforged, seen what shitshow it is, and decided to forever leave this cursed game..... Or do like some people that decided to remain in older versions and just play that via gameranger and such.

The more CDPR has existed in the limelight the more little bits of bullshit that come out about them and their games. Crunch Delays The old gen systems struggling to run Cyberpunk (that's going to be a dumpster fire when it does launch, guarantee its NMS levels) Gwent and Thronebreaker selling badly Shutting down just the console version of Gwent despite it not being out that long Witcher 3 on Switch (sure, you could look at the Mona Lisa if you were blind....) The transgender vending machine The non gender selector in character creation Some staffs views on women (Many more) I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with any of that, just pointing out more little stuff that tarnishes their golden boy image. If No king rules forever, I can almost guarantee they'll end up having some kind of catastrophic PR nightmare.

Yes, they also deleted any maps you made so if you don't backup your fucked and they put in an absolutely ridiculous EULA where they own everything which is kind of fair but as a result there are now a bunch of restrictions. The fact it surprise deleted my maps even though they are nothing special pisses me off to no end.

Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition 3 new campaigns 4 new civilizations, bringing the total to 35 Completely revamped multiplayer and netcode, with proper ranked matchmaking Complete graphical overhaul Numerous QoL features, like auto farm reseeding and tech/unit dual queues Remastered soundtrack with real instruments, as well as revoiced campaigns, and adding narration for campaigns that didnt have it Did not modify original or HD version, they are still playable today if you dont like or cant run the new version $20, discounted if you owned HD Warcraft 3: Reforged 3 mission prologue that already existed with some improvements Removal of multiplayer features such as P2P and tournaments Graphical overhaul that was not only downgraded, but didnt even encompass all the assets in the game, such as the 30fps animations. Not all cutscenes updated. Work wasnt even done by Blizzard and was outsourced to Lemon Sky Introduced numerous gamebreaking bugs Many of these downgrades were also made to the classic version, effectively ruining that game too No custom campaign $40, no discounts

When you install this game it also wipes your original warcraft 3 folder. Doesn't matter how much time you put in, custom maps, mods, everything is wiped and replaced when you install the game. Naturally that includes all saved data.

Honestly, I was silently disappointed when I saw gameplay from steamers, telling myself: "Am I the odd one?". Doesn't look as good as I expected. If you are looking for a good RTS, Age of Empires 2: DE is excellent and alive.

Hots came quite awhile after league and dota so it never really had a chance. Riots planned games also don't involve any mmo's. They have a fighting game and a tf2/overwatch clone being made, neither of which genre I care about. I'd say WoW and league are my two most played games period, and I don't really care about much outside of them in regards to these two companies games.

That To Zanarkand hit me in my feels. W3 was my favorite game growing up. Played it all the time with my dad, he did everything except item stuff, that was my job. Health potion, mana potion, and scrolls were my responsibility. I loved playing W3 so much i hated WoW, because to me, the profitability of WoW meant it was unlikely to get a Warcraft 4. When blizzard announced W3 Reforged i got super hyped about it. Figured if all they do is reskin, then thats more than perfect for me. I was willing to take a 0 effort rerelease, and paid for it as soon as i could. I just finished submitting a refund request (which will probably get denied) because i would rather reinstall warcraft 3 on my computer using the CD’s i still have, than accept what ActivisionBlizzard have done to it and to us.

As someone with financial background this is what I observed: Wallstreet analysts are dumb when it comes to anything related to technology including gaming. So I'm not surprise that by extension wallstreet investors and board members would not understand the PC games business (other than casual Xbox games) and influence studio like Blizzard to make dumb decision, trading short-term profit for long-term value. You need founder run studio, not public corporation with shareholders and director board, to make decent games.

I bought it a few hours after launch, i never finished the story back in the day and thought "why not do it now, then later when fun new mod maps come out you will have those" multiplayer maps never interested me, the story did. I finished the first prologue mission, then when i started the next one up, INSTA DEFEAT, tried again… same... tried 4 more times... same... whenever the load of the map finished, it would instantly go to defeat screen. Then i read the chat in game, I was not the only one, half the people in there was saying they had the same issue, the other half was saying, "stop crying, all games have issues at launch". I can accept various bugs and issues on launch, it happens when thusands of people start doing things that game testers did not have time or people to do, BUT TO NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY THE VERY FIRST STORY MISSIONS, on launch is JUST NOT OKAY, its half the game, for me it was all the game i wanted to play. So i got nothing for my money and went to ask for a refund. Got one. Dont think I will ever buy a Blizzard game again, they started going bad with how they ruined Diablo with DIablo 3 (it can be excused, was just not Diablo for me) then its just gotten worse and worse.

Also seems to be giving up the pvp for pve. 1k player per island only it seems so unless they have that many servers to support a few thousands it wont be launching well. U MADBRO you are right, they didn’t write anything wrong. What they did was made 1 remade pre-rendered cutscene and one remade mission. Then, they clarify that they only remade one cutscene in an interview and not at the announcement itself and only majorly changed 4 campaign maps. They purposely set false expectation and expect us to keep quiet about. The worst part of me is they blame these scaling down on “purists” feedback in testing. They blame us for them scaling down the game due to budget or time constrain is shameless.

Big oof on this. I was following Grubby when he first swapped over to Reforged and it honestly made me unsub. At that point it was still supposedly pretty early in dev, but I was super jaded about how it was looking. I was pretty hopeful originally about it, but now I'm just pissed that I can't buy original WC3 on its own anymore. Blizzard is really becoming a new EA.

I loved playing the Lordaeron: The Aftermath/The Foremath and Azeroth Wars custom games over the years. I was never interested in Reforged since it was announced as I loved the game for what it was and how it looked. The campaigns we're absolutely amazing and great memories from my childhood...and now... This? And I can't even play the old version anymore??? I still have the disks for WCIII ffs. I remember playing WC3 after school everyday for years, and while I have always been cautious of buying an unfinished product through preorder I chose not to pre order this after witnessing what a dumpster fire retail WoW is. Shadowlands, with the limited information and immediate preorder bonuses will most likely be just as bad or worse as BFA. People should be refunded, and Blizzard should have some decency to realize they’ve made the wrong move in releasing a bastardized version of what was once a legendary game. On top of that deleting the original version of WC3 is just a spit in the face to everyone that idolized this company back in the day.

12:39 - if you have the original client files installed on your PC for both WC3 and Frozen Throne, you can still play them independently of the blizzard launcher. The files can be launched from the folder location they were installed in. I don't know how much functionality is removed as a result, or if the new version overwrites the originals though.

If you preorder, you are giving them more money with which to further develop the game.

@@ericstaples7220 So does buying the game a few days after release. And if you buy games after release it stops Devs from releasing crap games. Not like I care about Wc3 Reforged, Ive still got my 1.21b version on a USB

@@ericstaples7220 When i was a kid, from the age of 6 to 20 there was no such thing as a pre order. I would find my most wanted games on the shelves of retail stores (and it was an amazing experience btw findind them at that same moment) or sometimes thru magazines when i had money to buy one. And the games were good. I bought wc3 when i was 13 and i bet there was no mass pre orders ...many companies abandon projects at launch and do not refund games because they had their share of money with pre orders..its more bad than good. The only valid reason i can find to make a pre order is if the product you really desire is coming from a small independent company who claims that needs money to continue to develop and deliver a better product. Triple A companies dont need that...they have millions...just look at anthem ...best example. More than 380k pre ordered copies from 60 to 100€. Left to die a couple of months after the release...the last "pré order" i did was wolcen 2 years ago. Costed me 9.99€ and it was early open alpha Access (company said it was that much to support their continuous work and we would get it when it was ready without spending another coin). Its coming out in 2 weeks with a 39.99€ price tag. It was a small investment at the time but i really enjoyed what they were creating.

The custom games thing is irritating. After the campaign that is all I played back in the day. This is sad to see, I was excited for this. I may as well play the original.

Hey guys veteran player and map editor here the positives I can so far say Is that They updated the editor and it’s fucking great the models are... better but a little odd for some, zombies are fucking great, the additions of new models is great everything else I’m seriously SERIOUSLY hoping they patch into a better place .. especially the janky unit movement and the UI Menus ... the menus are a serious downgrade.
