Thank goodness Bill the builder dug that mahoosive hole for you. What an obstacle course that was. When you said "i'll leave it like that for the next one cos I aint coming back"... Dont blame you Ollie one bit, but as always a true professional you got the job done. ALL GOOD 👍
My son is four and he’s obsessed with your videos, he pretends to be a “worker man” like you and puts on his snow boots and gloves to “fix” our pipes and drains. You’ve got a big fan in the US!
OMG that is so cute. It's probably good that the little guy can't smell, or he might go into early retirement and focus on being a fireman. But HEY! I'm an engineer, and I love watching his videos.
@@samanthah2843 Here is a stor for you Samantha. I have lived in many countries, but I lived in Japan with my Chinese fiance several years back whom was a famous model and sports star back in the 1980's and 1990's. (We are 53) Anyhow, she told me growing up, how there were 3 to 5 homes in Harbin China within a walled compound, and 1 commercial building of maybe professional services within the compound. (Back after WWII I think this was a security strategy of some kind in case of war or invasion ever again, after what the Japanese did to them.) But no indoor plumbing, and there was like an outside pavilian that had the "squatty potties" contained, under a roof. They were not enclosed, but at least under a roof. And you obviously would squat over the hole. Her little neighbor boy died one night, when he went out to go to the bathroom, and drowned in the 6 feet of cess. (how horrendous) And then once a month, 2 guys came to clean out the cess. 2 Guys on a DONKEY CART, being pulled by a single donkey. They had 2 wooden buckets with ropes on the handle. The man on the ground, through the bucket in, and pulled it up full of shit, handed the guy standing on the cart the rope, who then dumped it, into the donkey cart. While he dumped it, the other guy used bucket number 2 for a scoop. And that was their job. (Can you freaking imagine, and this still occurs in various ways around the world today.) You wouldn't believe the things I've seen in my travels, and/or had locals tell me of. Blessings to you and the little guy, I wish him well growing up, he sounds like a creative AND, industrious little fellow. Brent Barnhart
#1 if Ollie didn't come along Bill would still be digging towards New Zealand. #2. The work Ollie does in Sydney when others have walked away and given up still astounds me. How could you walk away from that job and say the pipe collapsed call someone else? Sad commentary on the trades today. #3. If Ollie wasn't in that market there would be certain drains that would have had expensive labor done to them that was unnecessary. Thanks once again Ollie for letting us watch you work!
They had 2 plumbers in who could not clear the blockage so they had to call in the big guns, your a top guy Ollie, well done to Bill the builder that was a canny big hole he dug 👍👍
5:38 ... he didn't get the joke 🤣 ... You're so confident at what you feel, how in the world can you know you are back there, just by pushing your hose down that little opening in the house? Great job, but also great capturing too, as always 👍!
I actually learnt a heck of a lot from Ollie. I recently had a blockage on our downstairs toilet, I lifted the manhole cover and it was rammed of "porridge". Needless to say I purchased a 50m long drain connector for my jetwash and sort of followed what Ollie does and managed to clear it (for now) I suspect tree roots is the issue so eventually I'll need to get a professional in but for now it's working. Cheers Ollie you're a superstar!
I haven't had to clear a blockage, but you're right-and I'm sure others would also say they've learned a lot just by listening to/observing Ollie. I'm sure DA isn't aware he's doing it but like me, I know he hopes people don't miss the importance of the most valuable lesson that IS purposefully taught at the end 👍 "All good"
Thanks for the video Ollie great job blasting out the drains in the AU great job 👍, totally awesome Mate ❤️❤️ it. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️❤️.
Where I live in the middle of America, all of the risers are that deep. I often envy how shallow most of the jobs are in Sidney. I’m never coming back. What a crack up. Thanks for the bedtime jetting. Goodnight
Fair dinkum, hats off to Bill, that was a massive hole, and he did it by hand. Love the foot safety as well. Can't beat old school. And how the heck is socks stayed white that entire time is beyond me.
Another fine clearing of the line. A great solution to the problem. Your the best, Ollie. See you on the next, and enjoy the weekend! Cheers Ollie! 🇦🇺🙂👍🇺🇸
Ollie, it's funny that when you are leaving, I'm doing an inventory check with you to make sure you pick up all of your equipment and store it back in your truck. 😂
Why, why, oh why did someone decide to concrete over the inspection port for the system? Secret hatred for plumbers? Ollie you are awesome to tackle this problem.
Learned so much from your professionalism and taking the extra time to make sure line’s completely clear. So many other just get drain flowing and go. Leaving roots for another day.
You got a work out there squashing through that fence , how lovely was Bill though , so helpful too. Top job Ollie, All good 👍 over and out Brussel sprout 😁.
Hearing the lady says “OLIVER!! Yaayyy!” That made the whole video! They already knew the legend himself was on the job and it would be done right! I gotta say hats off to bill, he sure dug himself a gigantic hole!
Ollie bill the builder was nice to help you out plus he dug a very deep hole so you could work on the sewer drain for the customer .cleared the drain got it flowing all good mate si u on the next one 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My main take away, having fallen down the rabbit hole of watching your videos, is simply the question "who the hell thinks it's a good idea to cover those boundary traps, inspection covers, or anything similar with cement, concrete, soil, or anything else they can find?" It seems to happen way too often. My other take away is that I love these videos, so hello from the old dart.
Good job on being patient mate. It can be difficult to help people understand but your consistent and that is why people call you for help! Keep it up!
Hi Olli, great video as always, just a tip, I believe you’re using a GoPro so i suggest set the video to 50Hz and not 60Hz, this will help with video anti flicker in poor indoor light conditions!
I don't think that new flashlight is as trustworthy as the old one 🤔 They say the third time is the lucky charm, but it's more like the right man one the job, have no fear Ollie is hear to save the day! Another satisfied customer 👍
The Order, a block Drain clear. The Drain great Block! The first clean attempt not resolt. To a great Climb in the next Garden, and Stem Concrete You in a Drain where You come to the Block. Hard work to Unblock the Drain.. Greeting from Austria 🇦🇹
Sandra was trying to figure out how to avoid ever having to hire another plumber again at her house. Bill was just trying to figure out how to kill all the trees. Ollie vows never to return unless it's to retrieve his torch.
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 ALL GOOD when Ollie's been there!! He ain't coming back cause he knows he did a good job and he'd be retired by the time the roots would've grown back.
keeps haunting me that I think that bag is blocking the vent tube... Cheers Ollie, I see ratty is going full boss, rarely showing up, but at the wrong times lol...
