I never really interacted with him outside of sending messages in streams and responding to social media posts, but his work meant so much to me. His most recent projects especially have been inspiring and making me so hopeful for the future of accessibility in gaming. I don't know how long he struggled with complications, but what's saddening me the most is that I've taken a break from social media for about half a year or so. Thanking him for his contributions to MK1 and watching content about the game's release literally feels like yesterday, and it's sobering to think that the same person is no longer here anymore. Rest in peace, and thanks Rattlehead for your work as well.
Man, this is very tough to hear man I love Super blind man we had some fun times and things never going to be the same again. He was such a good person. He helped me out when I first started doing twitch he supported me him and his wife and i very grateful for everything they have done for me rest in peace to super blind man, a friend, a legend, and a good person. It would never be another one like him again.
I only discovered Brandon's channel a few months ago, while looking for audio described Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth content. I found Brandon's excellent FF7 playthroughs with Damien and was so excited. I learned about so many other great accessible games as a result of coming across his channel. Not only was Brandon's channel informative, but Brandon also kept things entertaining with his energy and humor. Such a huge loss to the blind gaming community. Brandon, you will be missed. I've never streamed a game before, but I might try to find a copilot and give it a try. Finish and share FF7 Rebirth, in Brandon's memory.
Thank you for making this video Carlos, you've inspired me to do the same. This is just a shock to all of us. It's important we keep his memory alive and continue the work he started. Just devistated.
Thanks for making this video. Brandon was my best friend in the world. Next year would've been 20 years of knowing each other. We never got the chance to meet in person, but that doesn't change the strength of our friendship. We always used to joke about how we were either separated twins or clones of each other. I don't think the hole he has left will ever be filled. I did watch until the end. I love you my best friend, my brother.
I'm so sorry for your loss man. I only knew Brandon a little bit, but he was such a kind and funny person. I still consider the week you and Brandon came to the studio as the most rewarding time of my career. I hope we can continue to work together to make our games accessible in the future.
I knew him online for such a long time that it was cool meeting him in person last year. And what better place than in the studio with you guys. Those were some times I will never forget. Agree in hoping this is not the only time we get to work together.
Rest in peace brother, if it wasn't for him pushing the accessibility envelope for the rest of us. I don't know how many of us would actually be here. Trying to make games more accessible or simply just enjoy them. It really does suck, I felt how you feel when I heard about comic story and passing away 2 weeks ago. I was mentally shattered for a few days after,
msinsera mente perdimos una legenda. esto duele, never knew him personally, yet, interacted on his streams, and on X a bit. so, the way i see it, no matter how much or litter you interacted, its interaction nevertheless. you left your mark brother. SuperBlindMan Legend. head up carlos.
Appreciate you posting this video; it still doesn’t seem real. Knowing him for about 10 years and seeing his grind to do everything he did was amazing. We need to be sure to uphold and magnify everything he did and planned on doing. RIp
As someone who is also terrible at socializing, I am just starting to realize how fun it is gaming with others and putting myself out there. Brandon had such a positive impact on people by just being himself and having fun playing games, and of course, all of the work he did in the accessibility field as well. he is absolutely one of my heroes, and my dream is to be able to positively affect people by just being myself like he did. Rest in peace.
Your tribute video was incredibly moving, Carlos. I was shocked myself to find out the news of Brandon's passing. I was fortunate enough to get to work with you both on MK1 and your and Brandon's contributions (along with others in the blind gaming community) have opened the door for a more enjoyable experience for all our fans. We will continue listening to the community and creating content that EVERYONE can enjoy. RIP Brandon. We'll keep fighting the good fight.
Hey Brendan! It definitely was shocking because last we heard he was getting better. Then things happened and here we are. And yes. You guys have done an incredible job implementing great Accessibility into MK. I have no doubt this will continue in future projects. I have some of the best memories being there with you guys in the studio. Will always be grateful for the opportunity.
Hopefully someone will pick up where he left off for the community!!! Sorry for your loss!!! I breifly watched a video a couple years ago about Gameloft making Asphalt 9 accessible to handicapped people. Im curious if they are still working on it?...
