Asian guy here, I'm currently dating a blonde haired white woman, the amount of looks i get from white guys while in public is crazy. Deep down, i know they are jealous and cannot do anything about it, so i just move on.

I'm in my 50s and Asian American and this crazy racist hierarchy existed and was even worst when I was you guys age. At the end of the day, it just boils down to insecure and racist individuals in conjunction with social media these days allowing venom to be more easily spewed. My advice for Asian men and all men in general is self confidence is the most attractive trait to attract any women of any race. Men that still have those old racist/idiotic attitudes will always be there, just ignore and move on. Pity them is probably the best way :-)

I'm in Canada, I saw this at a restaurant, there was a Chinese family, and the Chinese son was with a Caucasian woman. The table across that had three white guys, kept staring so blatantly, obviously objecting with jealousy. After these three left, I overheard the white female saying to her boyfriend/husband? that those guys kept staring non-stop. As diverse as Canada is, this kinda thing still happens.
Why don’t every race stick to their own ? God has created different races . The diversity of different races is beautiful . We should not mix races and destroy the diversity .

I'm Chinese but I've dated mostly white women although not by choice. I have never experienced this kind of racism but I'm not built like the conventional Asian guy. I'm 6'1 and 200+ pounds so maybe people don't make the connection to the stereotypical Asian dude. My advice to Asian guys is just take more space and speak up for yourselves because the people who do this do this mostly because they don't think you'll do anything about it.

Difference between what you experienced in China vs anywhere in the West is, in China, it would be mostly curiosity. One thing most of y'all are forgetting is that a financially secure woman has different standards than your average chick. As a Mexican I say date who you like and be appreciative of people from other races who date your people. regarding the Spanish comments (Me: Chinese) about 20 years ago I walked into a Mexican restaurant that my Mexican female coworker recommended. Before we ordered a bunch of guys just randomly harassed her just by standing next to me. We ended up leaving, and she apologized for bringing me there and said that has never happened there before. I felt so bad because she hyped that place so much. Racism is everywhere. Most girls I've dated are not Asian, and even til this day I still get looks and flashbacks of that incident.
I’m Korean American and long ago I took my Mexican date to a Latin dance club. When we were dancing tightly together, all the Mexican men looked at us and they looked angry lol. Mexican guys get so jealous when Asian guys date beautiful Hispanic women lol. Black men get jealous too. I’ve experienced it.

Well with caveats. Even if it's legal we may still find it morally wrong. Like a 16 being with a 30 year old is wrong (illegal in my country but not in Europe) or a 12 year old with a 16 year old (legal in germany). I think both scenarios are morally and should both be illegal.

As a guy who is Asian-American (when I dream I am Caucasian, it is weird) and grew up in the 80s/90s: Some things have changed, for instance most people are more likely to see a difference between ethnic groups within Asia (Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai etc...) now. But much of what you are talking about here is the same as how it was in the 80s. Awareness is needed, but there is always going to be some of this around. I let too much of my early life be shaped by it. Likewise in parts of Asia it is just as bad or worse--racism against non local races. How many videos are out there about how any darker skinned people/cultures are seen in Asian countries by locals? People will find some way to complain about each other; within the same culture and race they will bomb each other and blame it on differences in religion or language preference. "Asianess" will continue to be seen as one of the most distant or exotic from westerness, and that affects all Asian heritage people. It explains why Asian women are often popular. I do think that Asian-Americans in the U.S. at least, do not riot or complain (or see the system as against them) as much as people of some other backgrounds. This absolutely is because as a whole, Asian-Americans are biased against in some social areas but also rewarded in other areas. That's also the source of some hate. There is a general idea that Asians are all good in academics and business, and unfortunately that is something some people will hate on too. When I was growing up being anti-nerd was the same as being anti-Asian. I guess in the end we know there is always going to be racism and we should continue to set a good example, but also see all the positive things as well as the negative things about being Asian American. And in my dreams, I don't think I will stop being confused what race I am.
Interestingly, the only time someone commented on my mixed marriage was from an American cosplayer who herself was Hapa because her parents were also AMWF.

Can't speak for other ethnicities, but as a Hispanic, I see this as a very common thing in Mexican culture, where even a hispanic child being born with narrow eyes is called chinito (chinese boy), or get nicknamed Chino, similar to how skinny people get nicknamed Flaco (skinny). I hate that about our culture and it's something that we need to get rid of.

Mexicans are not racist we are comprised of all three major races. We tend to marry white and black similarly from both genders. The term chinito is translated to chinese but it is a term that older Mexicans and people in Mexico use as Asian. Im sorry but my culture is inclusive and will be friendly especially to people outside our people. I do not agree that Mexicans are racist when time and time again my people will invite anyone into there homes.

My brother and I (born and raised in Florida) are both AMWF married for 25 years and 20 years respectively each with 2 kids. Come to think of it my cousins too. 40 years ago not too many Asians in Florida so not many AF to choose from and the ones that were there mostly interested in WM. Honestly not many crazy looks from people. Once at work in a conference room some dorky looking WM was going on a huge rant about how any AM should be so lucky if any big fat ugly WF should ever look their way. Race maybe a part of it but let's be honest he's a below average looking Korean guy and she's an above average looking white girl. Korean guys are generally quite handsome. I think if he were better looking the hate comments would reduce.

Having been in a mixed relationship in the past (me - American, her - Vietnamese ) I know the struggles that she is hearing from these haters out there. BTW if Jen didn't move back to her country we would still be together. One thing that normal Americans can't get their head wrapped around is that when you are brought into the family, then you become part of that family.
