they still play this song on the radio, this song is 34 years old. no one is gonna give a shit about 1 direction in 5 years, they dont even play their shitty songs on the radio anymore right now. I agree 100% with you. Good music never goes out of style. In 10-20 years when someone mentions the likes of 1 Direction, a lot of people will just shrug their shoulders and go "Who?" but they will remember most of the classic bands from the 70's
There were plenty of 1 Direction equivalents of the time that have been long forgotten. With time we learn which music is the real classic stuff, and that goes for any time period.

in the 70's you could safely ride your bike miles from home, go camping without adults, swim in the river, get lost and stop at any house on the block and get help as well as sample the baking and lemonade, you could eat your hollowe'en candy straight from the bag, you knew all your neighbors and they knew you and watched out for you, jobs were plentiful, the economy was booming...shall i go on? the 70's was a great time to be young lol
