Well heres an early xmas present of me, my remake of blood of the daleks, i thinki this version is far better than my first attempt. I will also wish everybody a merry christmas(or what ever holiday you celebrate) and a happy new year! I will most likely be to drunk to do it later on in the week as its the start of my festive season parties! So i will see ya all in the 2011!

The Daleks trying to lie is actually really terrifying! The one Dalek that almost said Extermiante, and then had to correct himself was both funny and creepy!

Amazing clip from a fantastic Audio story. I especially love how the Supreme Dalek shakes his angry gunstick at the Doctor. Also, when that RRR Dalek begs his creator for an answer as to why the other Daleks hated him and his kin is the second and so far the only other time time I ever felt sorry for a Dalek after the episode, "Dalek".

this is certainly better than the last one (improved sets, nice new remembrance daleks, no blu-tack in sight!) but i must say, i kind of preferred it when you used different (60s) Daleks for the Red-Rocket Rising Daleks.... it's just nice to see a clear difference between the two factions.

Hi, Blood of the Daleks took me about 4 weeks in total to do. The hardest part was matching the lights to when the daleks spoke, that actually took up most of the time. Filming itself took about 2 weeks to do.

How long does your stop motion take to do? it's very neat which often implies intense hours?

@HoraceAndTheSpider i had thought about using the 60'd versions but when i re-listened to the audio, when the 2 factions meet, the doctor at first mistakes the martez's daleks for the original's saying that there is only a slight difference. So thats why i used the genesis version for the martez daleks, although i did leave a 60's one in, to use a prototype.

@HoraceAndTheSpider i would love to try and animate the whole story, but at the moment i don't have much free time to do any animating due to university, when that dies down i'll prob get started, i can't promise anything at the moment though, If i can't do the whole story i will def do more scenes.

@AnubisX1 fair enough! when on-screen together the difference between Remembrance and Genesis types will probably be a bit more noticable anyway! I did like the Prototype one... interestingly adapted!

so are we likely to see a full story adaptation of this, or are you just going to stick with a few scenes? I'd like to see the dalek-dalek fight scene at least :) oh, and of course... Tom Cardwell in his tin-foll hat!

The extermination effect was created using a program called FXhome Visionlab studio. Works in the same was a After Effects, just far easier to use and cheaper. All i did was use the standard laser preset for the gun, For the negative effect, i used a negative effect and the masked and inverted it around the figure so it would only appear over the figure, Then keyframed it to match the movement of the figure. Easier than it sounds.

@Genwarren12345 Read the credits at the end of the animation, i do give him credit for the tank, Tardis asteriods and dalek saucers, i have given credit to everyone. As for the GGI vortex i did make it myself, compare that on to manservants and they are different, his is far better, if you want i can prove i made it.

@chazntitch the way i do it is 15 frames per sec and i just do tiny movements of the figure per frame.

How do you make the lights flash, and how many frames do you take after any movement?

lets see, for the frames, i had it set as the standard video, 24 frames per second, using Stop motion pro to film it. For the Dalek lights i used program called vision lab pro, which has since been replaced with a program called Hitfilm pro. to make the lights i used a lens flare effect, and altered the settings to get the desired effect. To get it to blink with the audio, i have to manually key in the lights on each frame, either increasing or decreasing the radius and intensity of the lens fare. That part is very time consuming.

@RandomCyberDude164 You can get these audio stories from Big Finish.com, those are the guys that make these audio adventures. Would highly recommend getting some, as some of the stories are better than the TV eps and can go alot darker, esp the Cybermen stories, most of them a very dark when it comes to the cyberconversions.

@Dalekhunter101 GOD i would LOVE to, i have the figures, sets and now know how to do the CGI. Also i loooovvveee doing stop motion, but i am just getting ready to start my final year at uni so until may next year prob won't have the time, but its something i would love to do, Even do my own script when i get the time
