Welcome back fellow Legends! Today we have the reprisal of an amazing Max0r video. Bloodborne has been one of those games that I've consistently been around, and had people discuss with me, but never truly have been able to play due to PS4 limitations. Hopefully we'll see a PC port someday, but that's pretty much a meme at this point. What were your thoughts on Bloodborne? Did you like the Chalice Dungeons? Also, Bloodborne has the silliest magical system, because you need to scavenge for biological waste that you can channel the quicksilver/eldritch substance in your blood to cast spells, good luck defeating Orphan of Kos with an arcane build to get his arcane weapon (kos parasite) so that you can play as a cauliflower that strikes people with tentacles and shoots lasers.

Technically the "Change the Stat Scaling of a Weapon" feature has existed since Dark Souls 1 (and possibly Demon Souls), it is just that Bloodborne expanded upon it with its gem slots, but ever since Dark Souls 1 you had like the two tiers of Sorcery infusion, one that was split between physical stats and intelligence and the second one that went full intelligence, and the two Miracle ones that worked in the same way except they used faith. So yeah, you could wield a claymore whose damaging power is fueled by your faith, I did that, it was pretty cool, also used Solaire's lightning spells alongside it.

I used an Enchanted Claymore during my DS1 playthrough lol. After I’d gotten tired of the Drake Sword I decided to just pick a weapon I could wield at random and landed on the Claymore

@@reaperofthings the good thing about a Sorcery-infused Claymore is that it can be a bootleg Moonlight Greatsword until you get the real one, since they both have the same physical stat requirements and I think similar movesets. I don't know if this changed in Elden Ring, but the most overpowered PVE weapons are always the most basic ones, or fancy weapons that have very similar movesets to the basic ones (like the Moonlight Greatsword), Ornstein spear is pretty cool, but a normal spear or pike is much easier to use... and the Warrior Starter Class Longsword, Rapier, Club, Mace, and similar common stuff are the ultimate weaponry, better than any boss weapon because of their movesets, they don't have slow moving massive attacks that leave you open to get bonked... they strike fast and strike hard... When making Dark Souls 2 walkthroughs back then people said that once you get the Flame-Infused Longsword you don't need any other weapon, common weapons are supreme.

@@FriendlyArchpriest ugh, when I fought Seath he refused to have his tail anywhere but inside the damned cave walls. I physically couldn’t get the Moonlight Greatsword, which left me really angry. I already hated the Duke’s Archives, but that made it a thousand times worse

Micolash's direction actually is not entirely RNG. He has set patchs depending on which direction you approach him from. Idk the specifics bc thats too big brain for me but if you can't trap him in the lower level method there is another way to glitch his AI to be stuck and non hostile in a doorway but as far as i know it can only be done after you get him to phase 2 and those wanting to use the sussy word dungeon echo farm just go to the farthest right (up the hill) tombstone for the chalice dungeons and just enter in the code. Supposedly it costs some resource to use but i got it for free so idk how that part works.

The Nioh games have a postgame called the Abyss where you go down random levels fighting harder and harder bosses for stronger gear so you could call that a chalice dungeon equivalent

12:17 the Witches of Hemwick’s gimmick is that, if the Hunter has any Insight at all, they can spawn enemies in the boss room to attack you. So what a lot of people do is they use a Bold Hunters Mark after entering the boss room and spend all their Insight, then go back. The Witches then cannot spawn those enemies in and you can just go to town on them. 13:01 who told you this?? Vicar Amelia is not midgame, that’s Rom. Vicar Amelia is the second or third boss. The second mandatory boss for progression overall

Unfortunately the London strat was patched way back, making the pain mandatory again. I saw footage where a chest spawned right in front of a passage required to unlock the chalice boss, blocking access to the rest of the chalice. Another time I was told about a random chalice with a floor from hell. There's a side room connected to the entrance room where the ledge drops back to the entrance with a red spider summoner. You have to do the most of, if not the entire floor to get to there in order to unlock the boss. Adjacent to it is a huge room with two small ledge drops in the center and stairs on either side, also with a red spider summoner. Very common room configuration with one of the worst enemy layouts. All that time you spend progressing, the summoners are spawning red spiders that aggro from very far and are coming at you from the front and behind. Just one deals a huge chunk of health. Imagine trying to fight through two summers' worth of them. The guy said they deleted the chalice and went to bed. Didn't even save the code.

The chalice dungeons wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the _infinite respawning spiders_ that can kill a max health character in 3 hits and aggro from 15 continents away

I remember the two specific bosses I was stuck on when I last had access to the game: The Amygdala, and the what'shisface at the top of the vampire castle/library/whatever. Boooooy did I have trouble with those.

Martyr Lorgarius is a quirky, lanky little fella yeah^^ The Runup to him also tests your paitence quite a bit, making it even more of a mental challenge to beat him^^

@@datzfatz2368 I got pretty good at getting to him mostly unharmed, but it's been years since I've had an opportunity to play since the console I played it on was at a friend's place and they don't live nearby anymore. Who knows. Some day I'll go back and give it another go, though.

Fun fact; All of Bloodborne's Music was composed and performed by an actual Boroque orchestra. Ludwig's iconic theme was written and performed by an orchestra on a sound stage, the haunting choir was performed by an actual choir.

Ludwig nearly killed Team Four Star on their Drunk Souls streams through alcohol poisoning. Somehow Lanipator gained the power of “Drunken Fist” to be him after downing so much alcohol. Lani said that was the last time they were doing drinking streams.

Kos is a great one, the orphan of Kos is more like a demigod who was only able to be born because kos died before giving birth. There is much speculation on who the father is but some believe it to be Gehrman

Overall as an intro to souls like games i thing bloodborne was amazing spacifically the more agressive combat actually helped me going forward into other souls like games and just in other games i tend to prefer low health high damage high speed builds

For Elden Ring, I wouldnt wanna see 'Trick Weapon DLC' because of it having PvP. PvP and gameplay dlc weapons you need to pay for are a terrible mix

Maxor's bloodborne video came out a week before prince Phillip died, so yeah, shit was topical. Fischl is mid, second time she said princezen in her dialog, was the first time i started looking for skip button. Her design is great, but its wasted on trash tier waifu.

Yes. This is part of the Rewind Month I posted about. I'm going back through older videos with bad quality and other QA issues and redoing them. Enough time has passed and some videos really deserve some more love than they got.

A lot of the older videos have blatant QA issues, and the audio was bad. I set this month as Rewind Month to re-react to things I don't remember and bring them up to current quality and branding standards. I'm also looking at removing the older ones with the old model and quality once the new ones have surpassed the old ones in views. I also got plenty of messages and comments to react to things that were already up on the channel. In short, demand and upgrading popular videos to modern QA and branding.
