One of my favorite ways to use bloody slash, in my case off of a +25 nagakiba with 70 arcane, is as a turn and burn. If you find yourself being chased by a very aggresive party, get one to about 70-80% health assuming they have decent vigor then time a bloody slash turn and burn to burst their remaining health as they give chase.
@@thrice1201 I know they had added the feature a few patches ago for certain ashes like sacred blade and vacuum slice, but it seems like even the blood that gets thrown out does the full damage. I just like it on kiba because the weapon still has great reach for the faster speed bloody slash on katanas.
Fun fact: bloodyslash deals more dmg on heavy, standard, keen and quality than it does on poison, blood and occult. So it’s a great pair on a flamberge with BFB or bloodgrease. Plus a weapon hit during the ash applies bleed so not only will you get a high dmg panick roll punish, but you may get a bleed proc as well. Quite fascinating 🗿🩸
The buffer window on everything is super long so technically yes but if somebody presses it even once improperly I still consider it a panic roll because there is wasn’t even a swing to justify the roll
It's quite a new idea to me pvp in this type of game less than 2 years coming from COD so I'm used to instant reactions and no que for inputs so naturally I panic roll and monkey mash but it's hard to adjust to half a second of delay for when I swing a weapon versus if it lands and whether it lands and stuns or misses and I should roll out of incoming damage very steep learning curve IMO
@@jayquickscope4446 You're better off learning to manage it in the other souls titles. ER TTK is way too high in pvp which gives very little time to learn too manage these things. Especially when the game provides multiple ways to outright avoid learning how to roll or handling certain situations, the other titles teach these things in it's gameplay way better than ER.
@@able.3566 my issue is the lack of player base I recently got ds3 waiting for this dlc and I did a few invasions and got invaded a couple times oh how I wish I picked the game up when it came out. It must of been a blast. Oh well you live you learn, I've learned I enjoy these games and wished I didn't waste so much time on cod and NBA 2k could of been enjoying these souls games in their primes
A thing to consider too is that... EVERYTHING is gonna be less effective against experienced opponents. I don't care what the AoW is, you can learn to counter it even if it's a BS one. AoW spam is a surefire way to get dunked on. What you want is to incorporate these active skills into your play-style and create the opportunities for them to do their thing.
