Love the enthusiasm and heart felt joy in your descriptions of each card. Feels like a true magic set with the characters and art work depicted makes me think if "The Secret of Nimh" was set in a fantasy world. That is what I feel of Bloomburrow. Going to have to check out your lore videos about Bloomburrow.

My one hope for Bloomburrow is that the animals turn into humans or other things if they go off plane. I think it would be hilarious to see a snake go to another world, and be amazed at having arms and legs.

The flavor of Bloomburrow looks great! Looking forward to it, especially in limited play.

I remember when a +1/+1 bonus for ONE creature type was 1 generic and 2 colored mana. Now they got it down to 1{W} for *4* creature types?? They probably went for Artist's talent to save "artist class" for something later. Maybe a generic Relm when we get to Final Fantasy? :D For someone called "Seedmiser" she seems to be throwing out a lot of them. :p

I think the reasoning behind the theme of Artist's Talent could be that as you become a better, more experienced artist, your art also progress. Which fits with that you progress the scaling of the card as you put more mana into it. And that's a ferret, you can see it on the busy tail, otters have a more streamlined tail, as well as smaller and more round ears compared to the ferret :3 Glarb seems like a good character to build a deck around, especially one where your goal is to structure your library, so you can use his ability to play free lands or cast spells, as his abilities doesn't seem to have a limit, besides how much mana you have to cast the spells. And Ygra will probably be quite popular to build your deck around too.. I mean look at that monster! Which is probably the feeling the designer for the card meant to invoke as well. Hmm.. if Bloomburrow is a valley on this plane, it would be interesting to return, and see what the other sections of the plane has to offer. Trash Tactician as title for the trash panda, aka racoon, is genius, and it also gives away that there's probably a few furries involved working on this set xD You also see it's a racoon based on the rings on its tail, as well as grey/white fur on its face with black spots around its eyes. And also the group of raccoons hiding in the pile of leafs, as raccoons are a pack animal, while wolverines are solitary animals. I have to say that they seem to have put in a lot of effort into properly representing the different animals involved in the set. They draw them in the correct way, and they even seem to take different animal characteristics into consideration for their names and abilities, which is great. And unless anything ungodly descends unto Bloomburrow, I am pretty sure it will be remembered as one of the best sets for a long period, which isn't a Universes Beyond set. I mean, when was even the last really great non-UB set, with a good story, good attention to details, great art and without completely unbalanced or broken cards (besides Ygra)?

Funny enough with the lifespans of the animals depicted there is a chance that the seasons could connect bloomburrow to the omanpaths but i doubt it

They absolutely should do a d&d crossover adventure in this setting. I would LOVE to play in a party of mice, and bunnies, and badgers and such going on some "EPIC" adventure that's actually something relatively mundane like finding a legendary acorn or sonething, lol.

As someone with a Golgari food deck, i like forage as a mechanic, i love Ygra in every way, it might be the coolest magic card ive ever beheld and i need it in my deck immediatly, i cant run out of food if my whole board is food...

Bloomburrow is the only plane that has me excited of late, before it was Kamigawa and before that Kalidesh.

I don't like the way Gift is templated, it means that the reminder text isn't actually reminder text. "A card" could mean anything. "A fish" could mean anything. It's defined in the "reminder text" what these mean in the context of Gift. It should be "Gift - draw a card" or "Gift - create a 1/1 blue Fish token". Fully spell out the action that the chosen opponent gets to take. Imagine if Ward just said "Ward a card".

This set looks really fun. Definitely some cool stuff

There are things that make copies of "Target Artifact or Token", Meaning if Ygra, Eater of All, is in play. Your opponents can make copies of their creatures as well as other interactions with artifact things depending on the deck. HIs ability also means you just gave your opponents free life if they just sac their Token creatures, since those don't go into the graveyard.

Now I am hyped :)

I sm really really confused by the art on fitness, ace archer. Is this referencing something else? What I don't understand is it look like he released the arrow but it's now behind the bow just hovering there? Something just feels very off with it.

I love that the rules text for expend says "your fourth total mana". They are just referring to the count of mana spent in the turn, but it makes me think of half mana from Unhinged.

Glarb plus Intruder Alarm in a Sidisi deck would be really fun. Tap Surveil 2 is some big froggy beef.

I think Glarb will be a really good Sultai Reanimator commander. Keep lands and expensive reanimation spells on top, and put giant monsters in the yard to reanimate later.

Maha is going to let me make good use of Caltrops. Just all your creatures die if they attack... unless an anthem or counters whatever buffing them, but i'm ignoring that part, besides could always throw out more Caltrops, and other cards that do something similar. How about a deck that makes your opponents pay through the teeth just to attack successfully?

Okay, so unpopular opinion but this set already gives me 50 shades of ick. Firstly, Wizards is ripping off Humblewood (again)- or skirting into "no I'm not" cooperate territory of a rival IP. The first time they did it was with their attempt to make middle school and younger AL style content- released just before the competition with a more aggressive push. Secondly, this feels like the new staff ripping up more of Magic; after Markov Manor we know that the old settings are dead to them/ irrelevant going forward (mostly). This just feels like, "look guys, better Ravinica- now with magical talking animals!"; they could've bridged out the old settings at least before taking them out back like this. Thirdly, the creep is just INSANE; we have an owl that lets Bow Master just Autolaive entire boards infinitely, Prowess Narset's new Izzet right hand, Ward for decades with evermore brutal costs and this is like a percent in. I'm not taking the bait on this one; Bloomburrow is meant to lull the fandom into thinking Wizards still ACTUALLY intends to acknowledge root fantasy before going into another slew of era skipping sets and Beyond slurry. Don't give them this set- it just means they'll go back here whenever they f***-up proper ever so often to "humor" the "genre" what founded the game.

ugh seeing the removal of words ot make room for more absurd abilities is just not at all what i want from a magic card i want some form of balance some form of logic and some form of not "i win after i play this card becasuse its so oppressive" just shows there more willing ot make something absurd to sell u the set than they care about the quality of the cards or what theyw ill do to the 20 other formats they dont care about

@Hugs So can we please just get a keyword for Exile X you play may them? It is so overly used on every other red card these days, that frankly it makes any new red card kinda boring, cause it's going to do that, but also it's alot of text for an ability that's on like 1/5 of every card in the past several years. Just give it a keyword already, I'm sick of reading the same sentence lol. Legends of Runeterra have this thing called Fleeting, which is kinda the same thing, you draw cards usually for cheaper than normal draw or some other condition, and they discard themselves at the end of the round.

I can not overstate how hard a pass this set is going to be for me. I m not 5 years old anymore so commander furries is not my cup of tea. Really really could not care less about this set whatsoever. Glad some people like it and it will prob sell well. I m more interested in the set following this one to be quite frank
