Blow Off Valve Adapters - Good or Bad?

I take you through the process of installing RennTech Blow Off Valve Adapters on my 2016 Mercedes-Benz AMG GTS. Let me know down in the comments, whether you think this is a good of bad engine modification? I think it is more of a novelty modification based on still running the stock turbos and the level of boost being produced right now. Regardless I am all about the noises and feel that are coming from the BiTurbo AMG V8. I chose to go with the RennTech BoV adapters based on the value and reputation of RennTech's products with AMG engines. Have you made any other modifications to the exhaust set up etc. ? Or are you planning on?

I am doing catless downpipes and DME stage 2 tune this week. Video should be out end of next week

Hey Midlife wana ask you about the Normal oil temp on the highway my full stock GTS reaches 102c in highway drive on comfort is it normal??

hey just found your channel... you have a nice ride!....does your car have an ecu tune?....I will be receiving a 2021 C63S AMG soon.....will be doing a renntech ecu tune and renntech downpipes...been debating or not too add the renntech blow off valves?.....I will be running of stock turbos

I’ve got an amg gt 53 which is an inline 6 turbo. my cars all stock but i was thinking about some blow off valve adaptors just for the sound. will it hurt my turbo or engine in any way? not too worried about performance

I was wondering if you get a bov adapter does it seem like it decreases power?

It's not supposed to, but in my Butt dyno, I felt that my car once it got into 80 to 120 range the turbos got sluggish. When I removed the BoV, my power came back.

Im honestly getting mine because of the noise honestly. Not getting it and expecting to get any power gains because im doing other things to my escape for the power gains

I ended taking mine out, I can't proof definitively is was having adverse effects on my GTS, but it did not fill the same, once I removed it, things went back to normal. It did sound great though. Good Luck!

Does an adapter like this hurt the reliability or performance of the engine?

I recently have been having some power issues when getting up to speed, like the stock turbos are losing boost. I am going to remove them and see if that is the issue. I will post an update. They make a great noise, but on the stock turbos I think they may just be a novelty.

Well the RennTech BoV's were definitely the issue, it was causing tremendous Turbo lag, especially in my 60-to-130 times, took them off and all my power came back! Just a noise maker in my case on the stock AMG GTS. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Please stay-tuned and Subscribe down pipes and stage 2 tune coming soon.

Unless you are doing upgraded turbos, it really won’t do much more than noise/experience. Usually when RennTech does a full turbo upgrade with a tune, they will add them.

What makes the Weistec ones better, interesting in your opinion...RennTech is definitely overpriced.

@@midlifecarisis_ the sound which is made from the cuts on the side, weistec ones have bigger holes but then I found black boost intake kit and they have there own vta which look even better engineered with the intake kit. I'd rather put my money towards that.
