Great video Sal. The last time I took my blower motor out, I used a vacuum hose to suck out leaves and debris in that blower housing. Just to the left is the evaporator coil. They sell a foam AC cleaner freshener that I spray on the coils to clean it. Use your phone camera to see what's inside.
That's a great idea. If I wasn't racing the rain today, I would have gotten my vacuum up in there. Knowing how easy it is to access, maybe I'll give it another go and clean it out a bit better. Thanks for watching!
Great video! I was binge watching your videos since I was about to buy an '05 Tundra. The seller sold it to someone else AFTER I paid to have it inspected. I'll keep watching your channel for the good content!
I had a blower motor on a 95 Chevy pickup and it worked but its screamed like crazy when it was on. I took it out and soaked it with pb blaster or wd40 i can't remember but one of those two and put it back in and still work to this day without making noise. Helped it tremendously.
I’d look for a way to put a drop or two of light weight oil where the shaft meets the motor since it’s out already if it’s possible. This past weekend I pulled out the resistor for the evaporator coil to the left of the blower by removing the plug and two screws. With a good light you can see the coil and with 100k it was very dirty. With some small brushes and a small curved hose on my shop vac I removed quite a bit of the debris. I then sprayed inside liberally with Simple Green and waited about 10 minutes before brushing again and spraying a gallon of distilled water with my garden/bug sprayer. Just be gentle with the coils cause there paper thin and will bend easily. I’m sure my AC system is thankful now❄️ I’ll ck it every 30k from now on.🤙🏼
We pulled it out and your video was so helpful. Found a whole pack rat nest in there. Now we need to replace the resistor. Do you know where that is? I cannot find very helpful information on that.
Glad to hear it. Unfortunately I'm not sure where the resistor is located. Hopefully someone will be able to help you out here though! Thanks for watching
Hey Sal great vids. I have an 02 and looking to replace front n rear chrome bumpers. Have you done yours? If so where is the best place to buy. I've looked at 1AA Auto and they seem reasonable. Thanks in advance. Sweet looking truck you have.
I haven't done bumpers on my truck, but I was considering it and 1A auto was probably going to be what I went with. Not sure how they'll hold up over time, but they look good and will definitely freshen up the truck. Thanks for watching!
Hello. I have a 04’ Tundra. I put in a new blower motor and when I start the truck and turn on the ac nothing happens. I checked the fuse and it was good. This truck doesn’t have a relay I think so what do you recommend I check next. Thanx.
If the old motor still works I would assume that you may have gotten an unluckily bad motor. Maybe swapping it out for another one may the solution. Thanks for watching!
A rat must have crawled up into mine and died because my truck reeks of death. It definately made a nest in there because i can hear debris rattling around. Not looking forward to what i find in there, but thanks for the tutorial!
Hahaha that's too bad. I'll bet a simple vacuum in there will do wonders. Some people have recommended using an ac spray cleaner up there too. Thanks for watching!
