This video was a lifesaver as my AC stopped blowing in my 05 Silverado a couple weeks back and the heat index in Missouri is 115+ this week! 45 minutes and $45 later and the fans have never blown better.
Fantastic video. And lots of help. BUT!. One thing to add. Eventually all my controls went out, (1-5), one by one. Which is why I watched this video. Replacing that part did help. But still, #3 doesn't work. And I know why. The harness is plugged into the resistor. So when the resistor burnt up, it burnt part of the harness. So I believe I'll need that too. Again, great video. Keep it up
I lost 5 shortly after my friend sold me his 05 GMC. Today after I turned it off, when I got back in none of the speeds would work. Got home, checked fuses, watched your video. Pulled kick panel, plug was loose. Got all 5 back. When we were kids my dad had this ole silverado that the fan would go out on. He was say kick the hell out of it and would would try to kick the bottom of that blower (it was probably an 85) I guess every other kick it would jiggle the acorns around so it could run for a while 😂
Thank you 🙏 getting that back clip out was a pain in the ass but it worked once I got it replaced. At first I had only 1 2 and 3 that worked then nothing so I took a chance that this was the issue and it was 06 Silverado
My blower motor wouldn't shut off with truck OFF. I have a 2006 2500hd. You have to specify whether or not you have "auto climate control " and rear passenger vents. I guess there's more than one resistor to choose from. Thx for the video..... project for the weekend 😮
Is there an odd ball configuration for the resistor? 2003 gmc sierra 1500 and every resistor I find has a different mounting position that doesn't work. Also the blowet is all the way to the right with the resistor behind and hard to get to.
Hey man - I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado with the V6 and it's got 99,600 miles. My Blower motor stopped working all together for a few months and it just turned back on. Its working now. Ever hear of that? Also, do you do a blower motor replacement for this as well?
Ive removed them on hundreds of chevys, the 03-07 gen are located on the radiator support on the underside, just disconnect battery for several minutes, then uses a 10mm ratcheting wrench you will have to lay underneath to locate them pretty easy as they’re yellow and black with a orange clip, there’s usually a rubber flap they are hidden by, but the orange is just a pin that’ll slide straight out with a small flathead then the yellow clip you push on the tap as you put outwards pressure on then vice versa, and if you hit a nice scan tool it’ll tell you which side is failing
I have a question about my 2005 Tahoe....I cannot figure out what is wrong with it. My climate control lights won’t even come on, therefore it doesn’t work. Every now and then it will come on and I can change the temperature and the either feet or defrost whatever. But if that light is not on. It’s stuck on whatever it was left on. Please help if you can.
That is crazy do you ever wash your truck Looks like you haven't wash that truck in Years Inside that truck looks like a sandbox I wonder why stuff don't work On that truck
