Don't sleep on the story for this one. It's very enjoyable

This game's story is one of the best for a gacha and a game in general. It truly cares about character development instead of just throwing random characters out there and forgetting about them forever. The events are funny, the story is every emotion, and the characters are top tier. I love it.

This is funny to watch for me because 6 months ago your video helped convince me to start Blue Archive in the first place and I've been playing daily since then. 😅

Blue archive is THE really the best gacha game that it even defeats doujin market against to other gacha games on the recently comiket event.

(unsolicited advice from lvl 70 player): Stix, Looking at your gameplay at 3:00, it looks like you are trying to fight "red" armored enemies with yellow/blue damage characters, which is a VERY bad idea (see the damage chart). Red attack counters red armor, so you will have much better luck with a team consisting of red damage characters such as: (listing some 1 or 2 star red damage girls below, which you will likely have) tank: Yuuka, Haruka damage: Serika, Mutsuki, Akari support: Suzumi, Kirino, Kayoko specials: Hare, Juri, Airi (note that healers and backline non-offense supports, [such as Hanae, Kotoma, Fuuka, Shimiko] do not matter what their attack type is, because they do little or no damage, and can really be put in any color team) Also note that, for example, while mission 10 has a mix of red armored and blue armored enemies, they will ALMOST ALWAYS be separated on their mission node tiles. Meaning that one you fought will ONLY have red armored enemies. So in this case, you will want a red damage team, and a blue damage team for this mission (sub in yellow damage for the blue team if you run out of blue characters, or need a tank). You can usually tell what defense type the enemy is by looking at them on the map too: red armor: human yellow armor: robot/mecha blue armor: spooky ghost So, in summary, trying to run 3 yellows and a blue to defeat red armor enemies is only going to end in tears. If you were just doing this to prove a point, I apologize. I also apologize for any misuse of commas, as I love commas, but do not always use them correctly. I absolutely LOVE this game, but wish they would do something to fix the stability issues (I am getting very frequent crashes on 9th gen iPad, despite doing all the recommended "fixes")...

Yup Blue archive never make me feel annoyed to do daily quest at all and no need to spend too much time for someone who working now this game really the best

I used to skip the story missions for the pyroxen, then I went back to read them and realzied how much of a mistake that was. The story is genuinly one of the best parts of the game. And that includes Main story, group stories and the invidiual relationship stories.

@Stixxy Choose Ui if you want a meta unit, she halve the skill cost. Especially you already have Hina who is a high cost unit, Ui is like a universal unit, a must have. Sakurado is like an end game raid unit, she carry herself pretty well. She probably didn't offer much utility to you as a new account. Hinata....... Well, she's just a waifu. She will get buff later... Like far in the future, now she's waifu only.

I really enjoyed the blue archive lore and can't wait for more. Good luck sensei, I hope you enjoy it. Edit: I recommend you to read part 3 and last part (general student council) they are the best story telling out there. You'll have goosebumps over it. You must finish all chapter parts in order to enter the last story.

Story skip? Nah. Never. It's its selling point. And I love BA for the students and their story. The gameplay eventually gets boring (as an end-game player) and it's pretty much my side game. But the story and waifus are what made me stay. I finish the Main Story/Event Story day 1 of the update/release. Give the story a shot, especially Volume 3: Eden Treaty. You might love it.

Generally speaking, I don't like gacha games all that much... But... Blue Archive is simply incredible. The best part of the game, by far, is the story. Hands down, it is amazing. The game's difficulty isn't so easy it insults your intelligence, but it is difficult enough that it expects you to think and strategize. The gacha is decently f2p friendly. 200 pity is a bit high, but the game isn't necessarily built on the 3 star characters. I still regularly use characters that were originally 1 and 2 star characters. The game is also pretty generous with its premium currency through regular gameplay. These, plus the attention to detail and passion behind all the different elements of the story and character designs make it the most enjoyable f2p experience for a "p2w" style game. This game has gone from being a good gacha to my favorite mobile game to potentially my favorite game overall. It is truly fantastic.

Besides the story writing which most newcomers and longtime players of BA no matter which server you play on, will always tell you it’s very solid, and it very much is. The devs & writers use lots of typical cliche’s from SoL all-girl high school focused narratives and uses it to its fullest in the most positive way, resulting in the narrative of BA to always have a feels good vibe that is wholesome and at times dramatic when it needs to be with it’s characters. The OST for BA is top tier, it’s catchy, addictive and generally feels good vibe. Character designs is very solid, there’s simplicity to each design that just suits with the games style. The games graphical choice of using Chibi’s may come out as typical cheap design choice. But BA’s use of Chibi’s have a lot of care & respect to each students strengths & quirks. Gameplay wise I enjoy it for what it is. A mix of auto & skill deployment gameplay. There is enough depth to the gameplay that isn’t extremely overwhelming like mobile/console level RPG’s out there. It has its problems no doubt, such as the PVP & annoyances with some boss raid mechanics here & there such as GOZ, ShiroKuro & the eventual Gregarious boss. But yeah I like BA a lot for many reasons, and I’ve never been one to stick playing gacha games for this long. I’m a day 1 global player and will likely continue playing for as long as I can.

You've not see anything yet, in Event chalanges, Raids and Firing Drill every single fight is unique, there's a boss that keep teleporting everywhere, there's a mission where you need to protect a truck, or a mission where the enemies dropped down around you and keep coming in all directions while you can only deal 1 damage You need a new strategy for every fights it's honestly so fun I always complete every single event chalanges once it comes out

Once you get into high end raids and challenges almost every single unit has use and each has different specialties that matter in one piece of content or another. It means you get use of almost everyone and the top end remains challenging in a wide variety of ways.

A little disappointed you didn't gush over how good the main story is, but that is just me.

I remember disliking Blue Archive because how buggy it was on release and stop playing it, a year later I decide to try again and notice how the game improved. And now this game is one of my favorites gacha games so far in. A tip for crafting, use only first Node if you want to save your other resources because more often using more resources for the 2nd and 3rd Node are not worth it.

I got lucky and pulled the newest member of the C&C crew and got my maid with mecha suit! My maid team remains 100% complete!

Play Blue Archive when you tire of the political happenings of Arknights and the dreariness of PGR. The story is made specifically for the burnt-out players who just want a breath of fresh, sweet (emphasis on sweet) air. Also there's an iceberg of lore to sift through if you're an anthropology / mythology / history buff. The writers and character designers do a GREAT job personifying what we traditionally think of gods and demons into very relatable and very humorous events 😂

Yeahh hell yeah bring more new comer it’s always a welcome. Don’t misunderstand me though I don’t like this game i *love it* I started playing around april and right now i’m lv 86 almost capped. The list goes on but why i fell in love with this game lies within the first volume of the story. Thats what got me hook in the first place. The writing is seriously really good. I’m not exaggerating when i say this, the scenario writing for this game is phenomenal for a gacha game. I believe the aesthetic played a big role of making me immerse into the world of kivotos aswell. The vibe of the world Makes me wish i was born in kivotos….. Why have i able to keep playing this game? Because it only tales under a few minutes to do the dailies. Not like genshin or any other game it respects and values players time. Another thing i like about this game is the Ost. Mostly composed by mitsukiyo or nor. They’re absolute freaking bangerss 🔥🔥 Every gawd damm event/ story update they dishes out bangers like it’s nothing. My Spotify playlist is filled with blue archive ost truth be told…. I forgot to mention but the devs are really generous when it comes to giving away gacha currencies and it feels like they’re on the players side atleast in JP idk about global though never checked. Little Fun facts jung hang lee the ceo of this game has been spotted waiting in line in comiket in japan! Can you imagine the creator of your favorite series is just standing infront of you casually waiting in line to buy doujinshi? Huge respect for the guy. One more thing. I think this game unintentionally teached me about late gratification… how ironic. So every year theres a anniversary being held and the gacha rate doubles from 3% to 6% So it’s much better saving up for the anniversary banner if your just starting out and don’t have many characters yet. There are exceptions though like limited gachas but I digress. sensei can gets lots of characters there, sensei must have a willpower, balls made out of steel to optimize the use of resources. Most of the time it’s better to wait than to instantly get the treat infront of you. This game just makes living more exciting. Every times theres an announcement in twitter i get really hype up like a doggy wiggling it’s tail because it’s owner finally pours the dog food in the plate. Really makes expecting for the future thrilling. Though it’s not like i have a depression or anything don’t get me wrong thats just the only word i could describe it. If only this wasn’t inside a gacha category i could recommend this to my friends easily. Game mechanics is just extra to me. just the writing quality of the story itself is worth a try.

You are still in honeymoon period. I would make summary of a gacha game after 3 month and then see, if it is good or not. Not everyone spends premium currency on stamina, so expierences with progress can wildly differ to another player. Yes, there are reasons, why game is popular, there are very strong waifu points and that is enough for many people. After a while it will be less important and easiness/annoyance of daily grinds will be a factor to decide if to play or not. That is how I usually end up with gacha games :)

Only two strong teams? Oh, you sweet, naive Sensei. You're still early in the game. Blue Archive isn't all that complicated, but it does require some thought putting together multiple teams to best exploit enemy weaknesses. You need at least 1 team strong against Light armor, one strong against Heavy, and one strong against Mystic. I do enjoy Blue Archive a lot. Been playing since day 1 of Global. It's not too complicated. It's very F2P friendly. The stories are fun. It does take patience to build your roster, but I have plenty of that.

My man, you just miss out how good ui is tho I don't blame you, for the early-mid player ui wouldn't benefit them that much, but ui allow some broken character to be more broken/easier to use, for example hina and b.karin that have very strong aoe ex skill but high cost, with ui their ex skill cost can reduce to 4 for 2 times! and that's a lot. btw any student that have cost related skill always good to have (but most are essential to have for raid ranking compete i.e. himari ui ny.fuuka s.shiroko)

It was too difficult to get pulls in this game so I dropped it. Wanted to like it but other games that play just as well and imo have much easier access to characters which is the draw for me in most of these games.

The reason why you lost first game was you should match color student with enemy color like you know, blue weak against blue and yellow weak against yellow

Ive been overdosing on BA memes for a couple weeks and finally decided to get the game. The story so far is very entertaining, but the "gameplay" is just >girls auto rush enemies >they take painfully long to engage targets >you spam ults >rinse and repeat The most you have to worry about is color matching on the enemies to do decent damage and picking girls with the right environmental preferences. I think the most annoying part is how you cant pick and choose girls for story missions, but this necessitates said missions being basically guaranteed victories almost like an on rails turret section in a game. Im coming off of Girls Frontline and Girls Frontline Neural Cloud where there actually is a great deal of strategy and micro managing in combat with your own handbuilt squads and builds, so BA is ACTUALLY brain dead to me in the WORST way. The girls are also pretty generic looking outside of standouts like Aru and Hina, while Girl's Frontline and Neural Cloud have tons of memorable characters both personality and looks wise.

Except the fact the game instantly becomes bottom tier if you're anxious about pvp content Like no matter how hard players try to defend or ignore the problems it's still the major barrier of this game that others talk about when saying it's a bit tiring

I not long ago got back into Blue Archive after making the sacrilegious decision of uninstalling it a while back (I know, How dare i) I'm at mission/chapter 6 and i auto everything but i've come to a bit of a wall now i think. I'm still very much a noob, I dunno what characters are good, but everything is shiny and cute and i love it >:3 I 5 starred my Megu because i don't care what anyone says, She's precious, Meta be damned and much like Asuna..
