The flash movie that's coming out soon was supposed to continue the snyderverse in a way but word is They have done massive ending reshoots that scraps everything before. Blue beetle comes out a couple months after that, so that should set the tone of the new DCU. Hopefully...

This movie is the first movie in the new DC Gods & Monsters era. I'm not sure how exactly its gonna tie into things with the flash and the rest of the movies, but Gunn did say this is where it starts on twitter. Im gonna assume this movie takes place in the Universe flash creates when he resets everything.

I cannot understand this need that most people now have for one film to be connected to another all the time, it seems that they only watch the film waiting for what is yet to come and forget that a movie just needs to be a good and fun cinema experience! The thing about being connected to other productions has to be just a bonus!! I'm so excited for this one since it was announced, Bruna Marquezine is in it too so here we gotta love it 💛🇧🇷

Blue Beetle really looks good....hopefully it does well at the box office so he'll continue on in the DCU plan. It was seeing Big Belly Burger for me, I need all those restaurants to be incorporated in every DCU movie. I believe Jaime Reyes might go up against Carapax the Indestructible Man.

They said if it does well it will go into the DCU. Since it doesnt have any actual links to the DCEU. James Gunn mentioned this in the DCU Intro a month or 2 ago.

5:04 Actually, James Gunn has stated that Blue Beetle is (unofficially) part of the DCU. Basically, this movie has no connections to the DCEU Snyderverse. This, like Shazam, is a self-contained story. Shazam: Fury Of the Gods, The Flash (even though it soft reboots the universe) and Aquaman 2 is the last remnants of the DCEU.

And the create-your-own approach to weapons and other objects and powers is the best part of Green Lantern. Really almost the ONLY good part of Green Lantern.
