I remember this year for the crappy sound , I guess both Germany and Austria (2015) neglated the knowledge that was availble and since they are the allknowing germans they went with their own solution , They dont know what good sound sounds like -you can see it within their own choices to eurovision.
Lee's voice is one of a kind no matter what. Apparently he was very anxious and couldn't control his breathing. Anyone can have a bad day even when performing on the finals. Such a great song with a powerful meaning that lifts me up and boosts my vibes.
only because i saw the video first (it's 2024 :D ) i could tell ,that he probably wasn't 100% vocally there...but man, we talk about tiny details,the man has an extraordinary voice no matter what

No. It is a song AND performance contest. That's why they have live singing and not recorded performances. I agree that the song was catchy but boy, they murdered the notes while singing it.
They focused far more on the vocal side of the performance, and that was far from perfect at the UK act. Plus the song is quite an ordinary radio track.
I was so proud. Blue is my favorite band for 12 years, they helped me so much through rough times. & having them on stage after 5 years they decided to stop, was the most magical moment last year. Thank you Blue, still waiting for you to come in France. Love.
Agree, and that was the only time UK finished on the left hand side of the scoreboard. In 2017 they almost did it (10th in juryvotes with 99 points!!!) but at the end they fell to 15th after receiving just 12 points in televote!
Lee’s voice is truly captivating. His falsetto is truly beautiful. I have recently rediscovered Blue and much of their music is amazing. After I originally listened to All Rise (one of my fave songs of all time and my fave from them of their entire discography) and completely loved it, I discovered they competed in Eurovision and this is my second fave of their entire discography. Love this song. The performance and song is truly perfect.
+Streatham Soprano because the juries vote for their friends eg swedish son writers Ireland where overated by juries when they had swedish writers. but blue beat them in televotes.

To everyone saying that they can't sing live, I recomend you to watch some other live performances by the boys,like Breathe Easy live from Wembley, or If You Come Back,All rise- live @HeartRadioMusic, and judge after. I'ts clear that apart from the possible mic problems, this performance was not a good one , but they have great voices!!!!!
I think this didn't do as well as it should have because of all the negative criticism received before hand - people tend to start believing stuff after a while and because of the negative criticism, their mind creates an illusion making the song and performance seem terrible. But I strongly respect Blue, they did the United Kingdom proud, 100 points is something we rarely see - so thank you, Blue. I'd like to give a shout out to Bulgaria who gave us 12 points. We humbly thank you - your song should have qualified but alas, this is no longer a song contest.

I always support Great Britain and I am glad that this year London is hosting Eurovision. It's one of the best country of the world where I spent 5 years of my life
I'm from Turkey and I Can was my favourite this year. I sent 30 text messages for it and my country gave 6 points to the UK. I wish Blue had won. I was so sad at that night because they didn't deserve such a bad result. I want 100% televoting back because juries do nothing but pulling down my favourites every year. By the way, I think there's nothing wrong with their vocals.They can sing very well. Could it have been better? Maybe.. But we shouldn't compare live performances with studio records.
I'm a huge Blue fan, I can remember watching Eurovision and suddenly they introduced Blue, I screamed. Told my dad to keep his mouth shut while Blue is on and make the tv louder XD

You know what they did amazing to be able to represent the UK they smashed it yes the sounding was bit low but they carried on an made it amazing still they deserved more definitely though at least people can see them for how amazing they are ....because they are and they can do anything!!
Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe voices seemed nervous. Antony didn't have much to offer. Moreover, the posters were also misplaced. Antony and Simon in the beginning were behind Duncan and Lee's posters and not theirs. Duncan James was the only one who nailed this performance and you could clearly see he was enjoying himself.
The great & interesting thing about Eurovision is that no matter how famous you are, that's no guarantee whatsoever of winning. Blue are world famous, just as famous as Adele & although the vocals were very patchy, they're not just playing to their fans, they're playing to millions more people from all walks of life all over Europe and many of those people aren't Blue fans, they know them but aren't necessarily fans. They'll vote for whatever song or artist appeals to them on the night & that could be absolutely anyone. Fame isn't everything & Eurovision is a great example of this.
I'm a 25 years old italian girl and I literally grew up listening Blue and I remember when 5 years ago I knew that Blue wuold represent UK in Eurovision I cried like there is no tomorrow, was one of the best moment of my life seeing them performing together once again
It’s mad to think that song, with that performance from Lee in particular, didn’t come in to the top 10. And even Jeward finished above them….let that sink in….🤦♂️😂🤣😂 Just shows you what the Eurovision is all about 🤦♂️😂
Last time that UK placed in a decent place... This of course deserved top 10 but 2021 wasn't bad too... UK, please send a decent song and haters, stop hating.
THE SONG IS GOOD! I really enjoyed their performance in Eurovision as well. People are being so harsh on Blue. It takes courage, you know, to compete against less famous people, knowing that there is a risk of losing to them. All the embarrassment afterwards and all... I say, they did really well. I mean it. Lee is extremely fantastic!.... Even in live he is almost did a good job.... His pitch is amazingly great than any of boybands..... They are great when it comes.to performances..... Keep it up Guys you Rocks!
