2009 and 2011 showed: If UK wants, it can sent brilliant entries and get remarkable votes. Don't forget that in 2009 UK came fifth, in 2011 got a respectable place in jury voting.
Blue are as professional as they come but this was far from their best performance. I've heard some claim there was a problem with their mics but I'm not sure if this true.
I can (great pun I know). I’m both Irish and British and patriotism aside (goes to both countries lol) I think Jedward was better. Jk how the hell could anyone think that 🤣
They should send Simon webbe on his own (on the right). He is the songwriter of the group and has the most stable voice. Also i checked his first 2 solo albums and he had some brilliant tracks.
agree with you, happened the same to Amir this year. He was the favorite til the 1st rehearsal and finally felt down to the 6-7 th place. Even with a veary good final Televotes killed him
There was problems with Lee's vocal defenetly😕 he sang most of the song and it was for me... flop. Big flop. But the song saved it all and they deserved their place. If the performance would be better, it would be higher!
The problem is that the juries judge the final rehearsal and not the performance on the night........I remember that it was said that they had more technical problems in the final rehearsal than they had in the final.
these new esc fans keep on dislikng the old esc songs, cuz they actually cant understand that these were the good songs and not the songs like georgia 2016 or ukraine..
Never published, but from the jury score you can tell: 12 🇬🇷 10 🇧🇦 08 🇷🇺 07 06 05 04 🇲🇩 03 02 🇮🇹 01 Ireland got at least six points, and Austria scored, too. The UK was given no more than three by the public (as they had two from the jury panel).
I loved the song before the contest (studio version), but it was so embarrassing to hear them sing live :-( For a group who had a worldwide success a few years before ESC, their singing was unbelievable weak. A pity. 11th place was the best the UK could have ever hoped for. I am not sure if Blue can sing good live. Their album was very good though. Duncan was the best of them (as always).

Good song, handsome singers, great outfits, nice choreography, very good staging, but the live vocals really spoiled it... Such a shame. I remember really enjoying everything but the voices.
That lead singer with the high notes are seriously screeching and annoying as all hell. It's way too high for him as well. The outfits look terrible too.
