Add a couple of rhythm changes and a synth, and these guys would sound like the cars. And that is a major compliment. The cars were a very tight talented group. Of course anything Jimmy toched, turned into musical gold. He was such a greatt musician.
Maybe about 48 years late but thanks to Blue for the gig at Manchester Stoneground. I already had the single Little Jody so everything else was a bonus. I can't recall the detail. but I do recall it was excellent and I had a good night. Thanks for reminding me!
OMG. Obsessed with this sing. Great obscure Pop song. And to see this is fantastic film is amazing. I am forever grateful to whomever posted this rare rare Gem. Looks to me like a live recording of the song mixed of course in studio. None the less it looks live. Been in the Music business a couple decades too in USA.
Great Band , this is from the 1973's debut album perhaps their best , saw them twice live , even better than on record , Clive Franks Elton Johns sound engineer liked them and got the band signed to Elton's Rocket label , had a hit with Capture your heart
So really proud of Jimmy and all he did like a musician! Despite he lived for a short time, he really did amazing things. Anyway, I hope buy his biography book someday. I've seen there's a lot of positive comments about that so I can't wait for save enough money and buy it. Definitely, the book that all Wings' fan should to read.
Never seen this or heard Blue. This is pre Wings & it's the Glam era. He was my school classmate '66-69 & chuffed as his star🌟rose. If he hadn't joined Wings it would have been different & I'm sure he would be here now. Wings opened lots of doors & McCartney could handle it easily & Jimmy didn't.
John, I would love to talk with you about your time with Bent Frame! Do you have an email address that I could contact you at?? Jimmy rarely wrote any songs lyrically, he excelled at putting the lyrics to music though :)
