Thank you Sir! 👏 hopefully one day you get to come over and see some of these awesome locations, We can do a roadtrip and take in views, beers and fish and chips 👍
It's a bl00dy barm man! 😂 Good on you giving the lad a shout out. Totally agree, the outdoors is there for, and accessible to, everyone. Enjoyed the video mate
Haha Muffin! 🤣👏 I really hope that someone somewhere watches one of my videos and gets themselves out into the outdoors, Thanks for watching and taking time to comment I really appreciate it 👍🍻
Love that view and the cloud formations for sure! Beautiful sunset skies...and sounds like a good supper! A cool Blue Moon for sure, we are currently experiencing a Waning Gibbous Moon which has sort of an orange hue to it too as a result of a lot of smoke in the upper atmosphere from the forest fires out west. A good sleep does a soul good. Take great care now and hope you are having a wonderful week! Bruce and Otis
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment, the moon did look much larger and redder with my eye than it comes out in the video, I find usually I don’t sleep very well on a camp but this time out I had a really restful sleep.. all the best Damian 👍☕️
Great video Damien. I love the Sugar Loaf as a mountain but usually take a different route up than the one you guys did. Shame about missing the sunset, looks like it would have been a great one too and then no sunrise... double whammy!
Hi Geraint! Thanks for watching mate, yea I missed timelapsing the sunset as we got talking to everyone we met which was great to be honest, I suppose sometimes filming needs to take a back seat, but we had an awesome time 👏🍻
Cracking video there chap, you gents have some nice gear there. That’s a cracking spot to pitch a Soulo where you can sleep like a baby knowing you’re safe in there. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I really love the loaf, the views are awesome. Pretty exposed mind, never been on it without fearing hat loss or tea spillage. Lovely to see someone camp it actually, I don't think I've seen that before, thanks for sharing, big love to you 💕🤘
Thanks Karen, it was a cracking camp up there.. I need to get out again asap, been working away for the best part of a month and off to Greece next week so desperately need to squeeze a camp in
Aaaah thanks for the shout out Damien, cracking video and some great footage of this majestic and exposed little mountain, not to be under estimated! Love the drone work too and it's always a treat meeting like minded folk on the hills, catch you in Dai'chat, Ceri and Kat 🏕⛰🌄❤👍☕
Thank you very much! It really is a gem of a mountain (its close enough)🤣👏 Hopefully I managed to capture some of it’s beauty and the amazing time we had meeting all those people and soaking in the evening
Thank you Dave! One of the best nights camping I’ve done up there.. was a really good night and the blue moon was the cherry on top, was just a shame that the camera did it no justice
Damian that was awesome mate. Really enjoyed watching the experience all over again. Fantastic camp that was. Editing was class, drone footage spot on. Really well done. Watched it on my tablet as I don't have my TV box at the moment. But I be on it again ohh yeeaahhh 👍
Another cracking video Damian you defo had decent weather with a lovely sunset 🌅 can’t wait for our next collab together with Dai and Simon As well , nice one matey 😁👌👍
What a beaut of a pitch that was. Those bergs were like a pair of voluptuous breasts on a laid down maiden. Great kit setup. 👌 really enjoyed this ......buns or baps 🙂
Haha! Damian that made me chuckle…it still feels strange being in someone else’s channel. I wonder what kind of fancy instant noodles you gonna come up with next time. You’re so fortunate experiencing a “once in a blue moon” kind of camp. Hopefully next time it will be somewhere like Kilimanjaro if not Everest..or somewhere like that. 🤓 Cheers, Mari
Here is the star of the show!! Back to the land of wifi at last👏 Thanks for being a good sport! I will really goto town with the noodles at some point in the future lol 🥂
another excellent vid with Dai, id love to come out with you both one day, im out tomorrow night, unfortunately not in a hilleberg though, fingers crossed i can send my drone up this time, keep up the good work look forward to the next vid
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment I really appreciate it, they really are amazing tents.. albeit absurdly priced but I’m sure it will give me years of service and I will do some storm camps in it over winter for sure! 🍻
@@Craigsoutdooradventures haha yea, add in another £80 for the footprint and its the best part of a grand😬😬😬 Just pull the trigger and tell the Mrs it was £50 off facebook marketplace 👌🤣🤣🤣
Slow and steady makes the day - that is 100 % correct. Hiking and wild camping is not about speed, but having that nice trip where you gently push your own envelope and do not care about others being slower or quicker. There will always be an SAS trooper around lugging 200 pounds on his back; so no reason to compete and feel stressed that others are quicker. Great place for a wild camp up there on the top and with great views of the surrounding landscape! Incidentally I am also a Soulu-user and it is a great tent for adventure:) As for where you will see your next blue moon I strongly advise against Northern Norway as chances are high that it will be cloudy;)
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! I really appreciate it👏 as long as people are out enjoying it then speed doesn’t matter. The Soulo is a great tent and I am looking forward to doing some winter camps in it, I would also like to get to travel in it and take in the northern lights once covid restriction relax again
@@BulldogBadger The Northern Lights are here in the very late autumn just before the snow and during the winter when it is freezing and lots of snow. The Soulo handles snow very well because of the sturdy construction but good camp drill is needed for cooking. The vestibule is small and cooking inside the tent takes practice to do safely in winter (I dig a hole in the snow, shore up the sides and gets the flames as low as possible. The hole attracts cold air, so it helps to warm the tent).
Loving that intro!!! Superb video mate awesome footage and fantastic quality 👌🏻 What you filming on? "Couple of rats up a drain pipe" hahaha awesome. Always awesome camping by a trig too... I was actually going to bag the Sugar Loaf trig the other week but ended up going the Peaks, so I shall get myself there! Gotta love the Soulos, they're so good its not even funny. Nice baps mate haha... or batches if I drive 15 mins down the road 😂😂 Still think we need to get a 3 x sand soulo camp on now 😏😝 I know Dai will be up for it lol. So cool when you meet other people up there makes the evening really cool and ive missed so much footage before talking to people, especially on my Red Screes camp, not sure if you could tell 🤔🤣🤣 Think that stove etc is what I gave away in my 500 aub giveaway. I have one of the Odoland cooksets myself too though and it is awesome, especially the stove 👌🏻👌🏻 Real cool golden hour too, so awesome when you get a good one. Always a mad feeling when you think you need to get your camera ready for a sunrise, poke your head out and nothing but clag haha. Great camp and video absolutely loved it!! Really hope I get to join you on a camp one day 😁🏕🏕 Take care mate and enjoy your weekend 🍻🍻 Chris
Holy moly you win comment of the week!! I actually film on my iphone 12 pro max, quality is ok and one less thing to carry lol, I pair it up with a joby gorillapod and external mic. Definitely up for getting the Soulo’s out buddy, Dai is a certainty too, thanks for watching and the kind words I really appreciate it mate 🤘🍻
@@BulldogBadger Haha yeah sorry sometimes I go off on one 🤣🤣 Wow really!? Thats awesome mate actually though you were on a DSLR or something 😆 Good stuff 👏🏻 Awesome hopefully we'll sort something soon... take it easy dude 👍🏻👍🏻
